My experience here was disappointing and honestly felt like a waste of time. My spouse and I traveled all the way from New York for this experience, only to be turned away after going through the whole process. When we arrived, we were told (since it was our first time) that we needed to complete the registration tablet, watch the safety video, and then get a membership card. We did all of that, only to be told afterward that because we had used marijuana, we couldn't participate and had to "come back another day." That was extremely frustrating. We planned this trip specifically for that day. If there were restrictions like this, it should have been clearly disclosed online or at the time of booking so people don't waste their time and money. To make matters worse, when I asked about a refund, they didn't handle it directly and pushed me off to deal with Groupon. Since I had purchased through Groupon just a few days before the visit, the refund window had already closed--leaving me stuck in the middle. I would not recommend this business. It felt careless, dismissive, and even borderline racially profiling in the way the situation was handled. Traveling from out of state, spending money, time, and energy, only to be brushed off with "come back another day" is unacceptable. I definitely will not be returning. read more

I would like to start by saying everyone in the firearms community was a beginner at one point. With that said a range that is open to the community must help cultivate learning. Also the range must have range officers that are on point and alter to happenings around them. My last to visits to this establishment makes me very nervous. Today I was shooting in a port next to a novice, and he had a handgun on the back table out of the chase with ammo in the same location. The previous visit, again a novice was adjusting his headset while he had a loaded firearm in his hand pointing it upward. The commonality each time was the range officers were all standing together not paying attention to the range. If there are 3 or 4 range officers on duty why would they all be standing together? I would believe that if they were dispersed about the firing line it would make for a better and safer experience for all. read more

Well tina and I finally got out to shoot our new guns we had since May She has a 38 and I have a Glock 40 cal It cost us $105 each that was with the purchase of 50 rounds each I have to say everyone was very helpful and friendly. It was a good day not busy at all the. The safety guy Skip, I have to say at first glance looked like he was a mean guy but you can't judge a book by the cover. I took my husband here for his birthday. I've never been to a gun range before and neither has he, but he has gone paintball shooting, so needless to say, he has more experience in the gun arena than I do. Reloaderz NJ is located in an excellent location. We traveled via the highway, so right as you exit, Reloaderz NJ, was standing tall and proud, so unless you were somehow distracted, there is no way that you could miss it. Parking is a no brainer. With two parking lots located in the front and in the back of the establishment, unless there was a huge event going on and everyone and their grand mama decided that they wanted to go to Reloaderz NJ on the day that you wanted to go, parking is easy to find and a space is always available. Upon our entrance, we were immediately greeted with an array of firearms displayed everywhere. There were firearms inside of cases, firearms available for purchase at their Pro Shop, firearms on the left of you, the right of you, in front of you and depending on how you were standing, there were firearms in back of you. I've never before seen so many guns in one place, so I had a little kid in the candy store kind of experience. Before you can begin to even get your hands on a gun, you'll have to go through a process. If it's your first time visiting Reloaderz NJ, you'll have to sit or stand, whichever you prefer, to watch an introductory video into the world of guns which will cost you 8. minutes. of. your. life. You'll be shown how to call for help if you need to and no you do not say "HELP". Then they show you how to load and unload a gun and finally how you should point your gun and lay it down when you're not using it. All good stuff and not precisely in that order. When you're finally done, you can finally head over to the concierge line to get started and check in. You'll have to hand over your license or an acceptable form of ID and pay for your session. Knowing that I wanted to make the most of our time since we're not NJ natives, I knew the 60-Minute Lane Rental, which was $30 would be ideal for us. I also opted to do the Unlimited Rental Pass, which was $50. In my mind, $80 was looking great. I also had a $10 coupon for checking in on Yelp and a $10 coupon for signing up for their email. So with $20 knocked off, I was looking to spend about $60 for our stay. Crazy, right? Here's where things turned a bit grey and caused me to mentally clutch my non-existent pearls. Looking online, I thought the prices were crazy reasonable. I felt like I hit the jackpot in securing this steal of a deal or so I thought. Compared to other websites, this one was significantly cheaper, but once it came time to pay, I immediately felt bamboozled. Maybe it was an oversight on my part or my nievete about shooting ranges, but I assumed that the cost of the ammo was included with the package. It didn't state anywhere on the site, at least I didn't see it, that the ammo was sold separately from the package. I would've appreciated it more and had a more realistic expectation instead of a never going to happen pipe dream. So in reality I spent over $200+. The ammo was about $20+ each depending on the type of gun you had. Over all, my husband enjoyed it and didn't even want to switch out his gun, the Daniel Defense for something else. I had to remind him that we had the Unlimited gun package. When it came time to switch, the supply was short or they were out of ammo for different types of handguns and rifles to choose from. So we stuck with the original guns. I ran out of ammo and didn't want to pay an additional price for more ammo and more time. The most important thing was that my husband had a great time and found a new "toy" that he wants to play with and I gained some knowledge about what to expect at the shooting range. read more

The building is nice. The access is terrible off of rte. 23. The prices they have on line are lower than at the store. I was told I could order on line and pickup in store. This concept is moronic at best. The staff was not very friendly nor very helpful. I went down the highway to GUNS FOR HIRE in woodland park and the difference was night and day. Every one was friendly which is very important. The place is rather large with two different ranges And plenty of guns etc. I joined the club, became a member (better rate as well). This was my first time at Reloaderz NJ and at an indoor shooting range. First timers are required to watch their 8 min safety video and complete a safety waiver. The concierge got us set up with eye and ear protection. So you have to scream to hear one another. We got the 60 minute lane rental for $25 (each lane only allowed 3 people so it was $10 extra for additional person) and the unlimited rental pass ($50) so that we would have unlimited swaps of any firearm. I was scared because I never fired a gun before. The guns are way heavier than they look. There were NRA-certified safety officers who only intervened if they saw us having trouble in which case I was having a lot of. Each stall is clean and on the side was the digital touch screen to control the distance of the targets. I felt safer with the gun and people around me holding guns as time progressed. I'm happy my aim improved by the end too. I like that they provided us with D-lead soap to wash away metal dust from handling bullets. Overall, it was a fun learning experience and I would definitely go back. This range is suitable for novices to experts. read more

Went to reloaderz nj this afternoon with my family. We were first timers at a shooting range. Checkin process was easy and quick. If you aren't from NJ you just need a valid Id and another person in order to use the facilities. The staff that we encountered were very nice and helpful. Since we didn't know much about guns they assisted with giving us recommendation on which one to rent and how much ammunition to buy. The are different kinds of target to pick from and the facility was clean. You don't need a reservation either. We had a small wait time of less than 20 mins and spent that time watching the other shooters. Big big shoutout to instructor JP. He was truly amazing, patient, and made us feel at ease. Even when I was nervous to shoot again after the initial shock of the gun, he assisted me to feel more comfortable and gave me tips on how to shoot better. I recommend reloaderz to anyone trying the range and definitely ask for JP!! read more

I've been there at least five times. I find them very helpful and they always answer my questions. They encourage newbies in the sport unlike other places that make beginners feel like they are idiots for asking something. Go to Gun For Hire at The Woodland Park Range! It's only 7 min. drive from this place! This business lost $4,037.28 (opportunity cost) since their manager name "Bowie" (not her real name) who identifies as a drug sniffing dog from Newark International Airport, turned us away because she smells "weed" in the general area and implied that it was us. She stressed that it will be unsafe if we went ahead to the range. There were at least 4 RSOs complete with SAPI plates in the range if I remember correctly. I visited Reloaderz with my 14 year old son for some target practice on this past Saturday, January 21, 2023. I had visited your business with my son February 2022 for the first time and had an enjoyable experience without incident. When we went back for the first time since then, we spoke with a gentleman at the front desk to rent a firearm and get our lane, and he told me there was a note from the owner in our record that we were not allowed to use the facilities, without any further explanation. I was annoyed and embarrassed to say the least, and my son was extremely disappointed. I do not understand why we were banned from your facility. I am a law abiding, taxpaying citizen, we followed all of the rules on my first visit, and I cannot think of any reason why this occurred. Afterward, I tried to contact Reloaderz via e-mail asking for a call from your owner explaining the decision. I did not receive a response. For a business that courts controversy by being in a pro firearm regulation state, I would not expect such a seemingly arbitrary and capricious decision to be made without a reasonable explanation. If you want to go to a gun range in northern NJ, I recommend that you choose another facility where they care more about their customers. read more

Modern target suspension lines and a digital interface to dial in your distance or even do specific drills. They let you try it out and then continually give you tips if/when needed. I love coming here! At first I was very cautious because of other gun ranges that made me feel uncomfortable. Most of the ranges in the area just leave you be with the firearms with no direction and or guidance. When I did ask the RSO officers for help they would give me eyes and attitude. Like I did something wrong for not knowing how to shoot. Not at Reloaderz!!! They made me feel safe, comfortable and overall welcomed. Ray is one of the RSO's there and anytime I come there, he's got a huge smile on his face and give me every detail on how to shoot whatever gun I have that day. He showed me how to reload the gun, and how to hold other guns because not every firearm is the same. Overall I would highly recommend this place, especially for Zombie Night!!! Nicest gun staff ever. They made me feel very safe. Otherwise, a bad experience. These people are crooks, and their rental staff is inept. We had a groupon all booked. Got there and they told us they didn't accept the groupon, so we had to pay out of pocket. Then THEY gave us the wrong type of ammunition for the gun THEY selected for us, and we had to re-purchase the correct ammo, but they would only give us store credit for the original (incorrect) ammo, even though it was the fault of the inept staff that we were given the wrong ammo in the first place. We had to talk to five different people who gave us the run around to get a refund for a STAFF mistake, instead of store credit. And yet the entire time we were treated like the idiots who messed up, even though it was their fault. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. read more

I had meant to visit reloaderz when it first opened for business but life got in the way I finally took a class here for new gun owners This 2 hour 1-1 class was very good They taught me on how to be responsible gun owner and the 2nd half was how to shoot properly and safely The range itself is spotless and well run The only negitive I feel is that it is very costly. I joined as a VIP member and rented 2 guns (you must purchase their own ammo) the cost is very high Also after spending nearly $500 I asked to have my license laminated and they charged me $5.24 This charge could have/should have me included in my membership. It's the small things that can make your experience good or bad Even with this I am rating this place 5 stars I really hope the owners read this review as these unfortunate charges can be changed not to nickel and dime your members read more

I recently took the firearms fundamentals course and was very pleased. Having one-on-one training with Emilio was great! He took the time to listen to me in order to have a better understanding of where I currently stood with firearms knowledge and experience. Emilio filled in the blanks! With one-on-one instruction and guidance while in the range, my confidence started to grow even with only one hour. Even after my session was over, Glen provided some pointers and feedback as well.
