Great store! Small store but had a bunch of good quality, higher end brand name products. Would've got 5 stars if they had any of the ammo I was looking for, and their wasn't a $10 min for using a card. Great little store that carried a lot of good products in a small space. I cannot say enough good things about them. I recently purchased a new V3 from them (bow). They spent over an hour going through all of the options, what was the best rest, sight for it. They set the bow to me, adjusted the rest and sight almost perfectly first try. It shot great. The bow is amazing, but comes nowhere near the professionalism and courtesy shown towards me by them. They eased any fears I had and thanks to their recommendations, I am hitting bullseyes at every distance so far consistently. Thanks again! read more

I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years- always buy my fishing line/lures/bait here. Went to the store on Saturday, purchased 3 containers of Baby Crawlers- Fast forward to the next day, when I open a container and find the "Crawlers" dead. Long Dead. Not even baby crawlers, some scrawny thinner than garden worm. The smell from the container was god awful. Ok, so it can happen. I go back today, buy two containers and get home to yet another container with the same thing. the other one was fine, definitively Baby Crawlers. Person behind the counter refused to replace them, saying they were fine. He even went as far as to spread them out on the counter- said they were moving. really? Deader than a doornail. Never will go here again- they just lost a customer over $3.50. Ridiculous. Plenty of other places to get my tackle- I just chose this place because they were always on point. I'm a beginner archer and called ahead looking for a Hoyt power max. They had what I was looking for and held it for me until I can come to the store. Upon arriving, Joe helped me get fitted which took over an hour. We went back and forth properly setting the draw length, peep hole, draw weight, picking out a release and arrows, etc. Once all set up we went outside to shoot. He essentially gave me a 30 minute lesson in shooting and when done I felt 10x more comfortable with the bow and it's mechanics. He even went over maintenance and other details a beginner should know. I left with all the accessories I needed and can't express how great of an experience it was. Seems they are overwhelm and understaffed, we purchased a gun safe that was the wrong size. Returned it got a store credit, I was told by staff they would have it within a week. Three weeks later no safe. Called and talk to Rich the owner who said whoever that was missed spoke. They order by truck load, He said he's gonna look into it, very frustrating. Ensure your staff knows your policies before letting them deal with customers. At this point we need the safe Not a return. Will repost in a week to update. read more

I have been shopping at Simon Peter Sport for a few years now and have to say the staff have expertise in the products they sell. Their prices are the same if not better than big box sporting good stores. I just purchased a brand new 2020 Mathews VXR 31.5 and had it set up with a new sight and drop down arrow rest. Joe was very helpful (as always) in assisting me choose my accessories. They have a generous selection of top rated bows as well as other hunting and fishing gear. These guys are the best! I walked in with my wife and she was looking for a new hand gun. I decided to check out some compound bows as I have always been interested in the thought of hunting and talked with the guys about this. They were close to closing so I decided to come back the next day and worked with Joe to get me setup on my first bow. They took the time to get everything lined up, all the needed accessories and explained why and how to make a decision on the individual parts. He took me out had me shoot a few arrows and get accustomed to the bow and gave me some pointers. I have been loving it and shooting a ton. I brought my wife back and she got hooked up with a new used bow. There was a chipping in the one limb bolt area and they without question got it submitted to Mathews and are getting the replacement. I also had a little fray in the string and they checked it out cleaned it up as it wasn't major and I'm back out shooting. Incredibly friendly staff, always willing to help, and very knowledgeable. If you arent a regular here, expect to wait a long long long time before you get any help. Waited for over 40 minutes before my son and left the store. Took my son in to pick out a bow since he wants to take up archery. Seems like only one person does the work and the other people behind the counter look at you and not offer any help at all. If I ran my business like that I wouldnt be in business long. I just gave up waiting. My time is limited and I cannot wait that long in any store for any item. Yet when a regular walks through the door they get all the hellos and how you dos, while we continued to get ignored. read more

What a bunch of clowns. I bought my compound bow here and have regretted every minute of it. It seems they only like to help the people they see regularly. Otherwise you have to fight to get the attention of the staff and then get treated like a piece of garbage. After being fed up with their service I brought my bow elsewhere and the bow tech laughed at their incompetence. Avoid this place, there are much better options around. read more

Simon Peter is the best sporting store in the area by far. I am extremely lucky to have them so convenient. I have bought numerous firearms from them and they have been extremely helpful. I had some trouble with reassembly after cleaning a muzzleloader and they were very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me. I have friends that come from some distance away because they say it's worth it. Unlike other local places they stand by what they sell and even when my bow was out of warranty they stood by it and fixed it no charge. read more
