Hello fellow yelpers, Please be aware before buying from this place. I actually went to this place because of all of the positive reviews. These guys were very nice when I first came in and I was told I was being sold "2 exact yokohoma tires" for my bmw 330i. I explained to them my concerns about my safety about buying the required speed rating for my vehicle and they were more than happy to sell me a pair of tires. When I went home, I discovered that one of my tire was a "H rating tire while the other was a "W". I called them and let them know that they did not sold me the exact same pair. I spoke with a younger gentleman that tried to convinced me for a full 7 minutes on the phone claiming that I should be fine with those tires because he was a "professional drifter" so I should take his words for it, and as long as I don't run 130 miles on the freeway, I should be fine. I was later transferred to Tom and he told me to come in the next day and he tried to see what he can do. I was frustrated, so I took the initiative and went elsewhere and brought my tires. I came in the next day and did not met Tom, instead I met with an older gentleman. I told him I would like get my money back because they basically lied to me and said that they were selling me a product "2 exact tires with the same speed rating" which they did not. I told him that no other tire shop around this area would EVEN sell me a pair of tire that is below a car recommended speed rating. I told him that I was concern for the safety of myself and my family and I just wanted my money back. I told him that this is actually mandated by D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) and these other local tires shop would not even sell me tires that is below my speed rating even IF I WANTED TO BUY THEM. (I found out that there is actually NO FEDERAL LAWS GOVERNING THE BUYING AND SELLING OF USED TIRES) He exchanged a few words with me trying to convince me that I should be fine, when I decided not to give in, he said that I was "FULL OF SHIT". I was shocked that he actually yelled at me and called me "FULL OF SHIT". What kind of customer service is this? I replied "excuse me?", and he said that I was FULL OF SHIT and these other tires shop will said whatever they can say to sell me tires their own tires. After being a recipient of receiving his colorful language, I decided to record our conversation which I would be more than happy to post on Youtube. If you do not believe me, please tried calling Sears Tire Center, SAMS Tires center, Pepboys, Big O Tires or any other tire centers.. you would not be able to buy tires that is below your factory rating. They would NOT EVEN SELL IT TO YOU!!! You could drive and your tires pop on the freeway and get into a serious accident. I should at least get my money return to me because of a MISTAKE THAT THEY DID ON THEIR PART! tl:dr: Tire salesman told me he was going to sell me a pair of identical tires. He made a mistake and did not. (DOT RECOMMEND TO DRIVE AT CORRECT SPEED RATING). Ask for money back, got yelled at. I left. read more

I needed 4 new tires but couldn't afford to get new ones so I saw RT tires on the news I called and they had my size tires in stock and at a great price! When we got there Jason immediately came out to help us and showed us the options we had. They just got a different set of my size tires that were better then the other ones so he recommended those for just a little more money. The wait wasn't long and my tires are great! If you need tires or tire service, this is the place! Go anywhere else you're stupid. These guys are amazing. My tire was leaking slowly because the plug it had before was not install properly. These guys are awesome! I never would have thought to get used like new tires but read so many great reviews that I called them up. They gave me a quote for what I needed and said that it was including tax, balancing, and discard of old tires and I was shocked at how great the price was. I was only going to get 2 because that's all I could afford at the time. I came down and they hooked me up with an awesome deal for all 4 tires. I could not pass it up. I'm currently waiting as they change them and I can see my car as they do it. I won't say how much I spent, but I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know. They definitely have great customer service. The only thing that could be improved is the waiting area space. I felt a bit boxed in, but at least the couch was comfortable. If you are looking for a place that won't screw you over and actually cares about their customers, definitely come here. Oh and I didn't have an appointment and even though it's first come first served, they helped me right away and with a smile. These guys totally made my day. Gave 5 stars because they couldn't have done better! I called ahead and reached a very knowledgeable guy on the phone. I told him what I needed (4 tires), and fast, since I had to drive to work in a few hours. He took a second then quoted me a specific price with specific tires. He held them at the shop for me, they were set aside and waiting for me when I arrived. They were perfect, so we proceeded. They switched out all four tires within the hour, then charged exactly what they quoted at first. Refreshingly effecient, friendly, and honest. Jason was the person who serviced me and my purchase. I needed a new set of 4 tires for my Toyota 4Runner and got quotes from Big O ($900) and Pep Boys ($700). I saw the advertisement for RT Tire on the local news and figured it was worth a call. It took me about a month of calling the guys every Tuesday/Wednesday morning when their shipment of new tires comes in to grab a set of 4 practically new Goodyear Wranglers for $500 out the door. I was in and out in less than an hour. It has been over a month and I am really happy with these tires. I'd definitely buy from RT Tire again. read more

These guys really took care of me. I have a decade-old BMW and I wanted new wheels for it when it came time to replace the tires. RT Tire seems to have a relationship with a local BMW dealer to get wheels and tires from new cars when customers choose to upgrade. I got a set of these off of a brand new BMW with brand new standard BMW OEM tires for barely more than I would have paid just for new tires if I had kept my original OEM wheels. They also made sure all the sizing worked out and made what seemed like honest recommendations. I couldn't be happier! Car looks amazing now, like a whole new life for it. read more

Showed up at 10:30 for 2 tires to replace my horrid fronts. They rotated my rears to the front and placed two used ones in their place. I only had to wait 20 minutes AND they gave me a military discount; $100 for tires and install! Why did I wait SO long to come here?!? read more

I recently purchased a new to me BMW 540i with 18" after market rims. Rear tires were shot and with the recent rain the rear end was getting squirel-ly due to hydro-planing. I first started my tire search, 245/40/18, through my usual go to tire store, Americas Tires. I stopped in and asked for a price for new tires. They offered an unknown brand through their website, GT, for $100 each plus mounting and balancing extra. All totaled about $260 including mounting and balancing. Guy at Americas Tire Store said I'd get about 8000-10,000 miles of wear. OK, NOT GOOD. Next step up, Falken Ziex ZE-912, $125 each plus mounting and balancing. Getting kinda steep here with the money and I'm not sure the brands are all that great. Well, I trolled Craigslist in hopes of finding the right tires, new or used, for an excellent price. Well, lo and behold, with my search parameters, I find a pair of Michelin Sport A/S tires in my size. I call the tire shop, RT Tires in Pacheco. They answer the phone and said they had them for $70 for the pair. An hour later, I arrive at the shop and find the tires on the rack marked at $80. A salesman, assisted me and went to ask the boss. "Hey are these Michelin tires $70 or $80?! Boss says $80, $70 was for a different size. I did not mind as I needed tires and the Michelin are the best! If they were new, they'd be about $250 each! Salesman was nice and suggested the Pirelli P-Zero Nero as an option. Michelin tires had about 80% tread left and Pirelli's had about 70%. Both were bargain priced but I had to go with the Michelin tires. Installation was a breeze. They had me in and out in time to make to work. Utterly fantastic deal on used tires! I must go back again and buy some tires for the front when my funds permit it. RT Tires in Pacheco is my new go-to place for tires! Thanks for the great price and great service RT! read more

BEST DEALS IN EAST BAY!!! I went here after I found them on CL. The guy that helped me was cool but as you would imagine for a used tire shop. I got a pair of Michelin tires that would have cost me $350 per tire plus mount and balance for $220 for the pair with 90% tred left!!! Not only that but I came back about 6 weeks later to replace the front tires on my BMW and they not only hooked me up again but offered to repair a flat for free. It seems I either picked up a very small tack or it came with but either way the took care of it. read more

I bought a set of used toyo a/t's got them for a great price. Noticed I had a tread pull to the right so I brought my suburban back and talked to patrick and he narrowed it down to one of the tires. Without a hassle replaced it same tread same exact white letters. Problem solved! Great customer service no nonsense and they are quick! And I wasn't given the run around. Called for an estimate and quoted over the phone. Came in and visually inspected my tires and recommended 2 after noticing wear on the other side. Great price on 2 used tires. Guys were chill and quick. All 2 tires done in 15 minutes. The shop on the back is separately owned to install the tires but they all worked together like they were one shop. read more

First of all they open at 8am not 9am . Error made by Yelp.. I called at 8am because I noticed the picture on Yelp said 8am-6pm. The man Who picked up the phone was very polite and informative off the bat. I get there around 8:10 AM , picked out my tire size and was sent around to the back where a separate company that works directly with RT Installs the tire. $37 for the tire and $18 for installation for a grand total of $55 and was on my way back on the road by 8:25 AM no BS . All in all I have to say I am very pleased with the experience I had with and will be doing more business in the future them . Five stars for a complete customer service ! read more

I was looking for a set of used tires for a locally driven work truck that sees only 1500 miles a year ; had 10 year old tires (cracking ay the sidewalls) indicating the end of their useful life, I decided to come here after searching CraigsList and recent Yelp reviews. Boy, was I delighted to visit RT Tire and the Service shop at the back of the store. They had a set of good used tires to replace mine for $240.00 INCLUDING installation, mounting and balancing and disposal of old tires! I was in and out within 30 minutes thanks to a very efficient crew working together on my vehicle! I will definitely recommend this place to others needing tires. This store kind of reminds me of the 4day tire chain way back when- but for used- like new take off tires and wheels! I am so thrilled! Why? Because I am firing Wheelworks! After going to them for about 20 years. I've so overspent on tires with them. Not to mention some of the creative sales stories 'Clff' in w.c. gave me. CUST SERVICE: All staff outstanding courteous and respectful ( even to woman middle aged and nothing to look at). Any woman (excluding those w/ serious issues if you know what I mean) would feel completely comfortable at this place even w/ 5 men and you being the only person in shop. I felt as comfortable there as with my own brothers. Absolutely no red flag went off with their service, both sales and service-wise. SPEED; I'm shocked! Probably out in 1/2 hour or less. I didnt even have time to sit down. I even took my bird with me thinking I'd be waiting like Wheelworks did to me. Defintely abused by Wheelworks. They are so fired! I did get there about 10:30 seeing that the earlier in the day is usually better time. But really, the hours that wheel works makes you wait for simple stuff like rotation? I found RT Tires post on Craiglist-with photos of their store. The place looked exactly like the post, clean and professional. I bought an almost brand new set of tires that were a perfect fit for my car. They would have cost me twice as much at any other tire store. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. About two weeks later my girlfriend told me that she had a flat. Since I don't live close to RT I went to Another Tire Store and they took the tire off and found that the bead was messed up. A.T. tried to say that RT damaged the tire upon installation and RT said it was the others store fault. I took the tire back to RT and not only did they not haggle with me on whose fault it was, They gave me two tires in the same condition as the ones I bought before. And they let me keep my other good tire as a spare. Five stars for great customer service and professionalism. read more

Awesome place with good tires. 2 used tires for $75 out the door! Recommended this place to my dad when he had a blowout and he had a weird tire size like 265/30/19. Rt had the tires in stock and got him out the door in 30 mins! Only thing i would say is there tire machine is outdated and not a huge workplace but an impressive showroom of tires.
