Excellent experience. Went in with a screw in my tire and was told at other places it could not be repaired. Pat met me before I even got in the door and explained all my options. He ended being able to repair the tire with a special patch. I was in and out in 30 min. I will go back for tires in the future. I love this place. Anytime I need a tired I come here. Jason always treats me right. He understands what I am looking for and asks questions to make sure I am getting the right tires for my vehicles. I have come here with difficult tire sizes and needs but every time they work something out for me. The installation shop in the back is fantastic too. We needed new tires for a car we rarely drive. I found an ad on Craigslist for what appeared to be a perfect set of 4 in near new condition. However, like all things on Craigslist and when dealing with a used anything dealer, I was not expecting an easy experience. Preconceived notions are a terrible thing. I called the number and was shocked at how friendly and knowledgeable Patrick was. He checked to ensure the tires were in stock, confirmed their condition, quoted me installation price over the phone and invited me to come take a look in person. I drove there 30 minutes laters, the tires were exactly as described and he had them mounted, balanced, and installed in under an hour. All for a fantastic price and exactly what he quoted. My Son and I had an uncomfortable experience at RT tires today. I had my Sons car towed to RT. Drivers side tire was flat. My Son and I walked in we are greeted by a gentleman who asked if he could help us. I let him know our Prius was towed. He said let me check. One of the guys said yeah, I have tires for you... They show me the two tires. First guy says they are Bridgestone and the another guy says Michelin. We are all collectively looking at the tires, So I ask which one is it? Which made me uncomfortable... He said they are pretty much the same... I ask how much, he said $130 for both... Mind you, they were used tires... My Son said Mom just get them. I said no! I am going to make sure they are the best deal. And I also said, I've had experiences where tire shops price used tires too high! So, I told my Son. Hold on I'm going to look this up... So the guy said, oh I can give them to you for $125. Still, I'm thinking that's a little high for two used tires... So I said I need to check.. Then the guy says to the other, right in front of me... This is why I hate that we are open to the public, we get this!!! I looked right at him and said, you can be a little more courteous! He looked at me and was like... Oh! ... I felt uncomfortable, I wanted to leave. I'm moving to the door as I'm about to call my friend that knows about tires.. As I put my phone to my ear, he says I have your car parked out back, what do you... I stopped him!... It felt aggressive and uncomfortable. I said I will take them.. I wanted the situation to be over! I recommend if you are female take a guy with you... I unfortunately will not be back. And will make sure this posts to my Facebook, Twitter and IG where I have 5k followers. I will note: that when I paid for the tires and the guy said I would like to give you this card valued at $200, if you ever have a flat on the two tires you can bring it in, we will fix it... Ummm isn't that normal business???... He said: because things did get a little intense. For him to notice that, made me believe they did that on purpose! Knowing they created an uncomfortable experience, which should have never, ever happened. So as we were leaving and my Son who is 18 and thinks everyone is so nice and that they only want med to help us... says "take care" and one of the guys that helped us chuckles loudly as we exit! They better be glad they didn't get me closer to my period, I would have walked right back in there... Train your male employees to be more courteous and less aggressive. We had just had a very bad experience, we were both emotionally stressed from our experience.. Having a complete blow out on the freeway, my Son is a new driver. One thing I do not stand for is bad customer service. I have been in business for a long time. I value providing exceptional customer service and when people and business's are not capable of doing something so menial, it leads me to believe they are in it for the money and not for the client or for providing the best possible experience... Today was the first rain of the season and of course running errands in martinez my driver side tire popped. I had my car towed to RT Tires a place I have never been be for and was welcomed with open arms and treated like family. Fellow Yelpers... BUYER BEWARE!! I tried RT Tire due to positive reviews. I needed a set of 4 tires for my Ford Expedition. Tom at RT said that he had a matching set with good tread wear. So the journey was made down from Oakley to check them out. The tires looked good so I bought them for an OK price of $260. On the drive home, the steering wheel was pulling hard to the right. So, I took the Expedition in for an alignment at Wheel Works. After the alignment, the truck still pulled to the right. I took it back to WW and they verified the alignment was in spec. They then pulled off both front wheels and swapped sides. The truck now pulled hard to the left. It was determined that the tire carcass was bad. I called RT Tire and spoke to Manny. He was helpful and said to bring it the truck back with my receipt and he would swap the set of tires out if the tire carcass was bad. I explained to Manny that my son would have to bring it back as my work schedule would not allow and he said no problem. When Manny got the truck he inspected and swapped the tires side to side and agreed the tire was indeed bad. What he did next is horrible. Instead of swapping out the tires, he simply moved the bad tire to the back! He sent my son home with the bad tire still on! THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!. I will have to make yet another trip down to RT. Keep in mind I paid for the tires AND an alignment AND two trips of gas to RT. Do not go here. There are many, many other shops that sell used tires. I have turned wrenches for a living. A safety issue such as this should have been immediately resolved and never been allowed to leave the shop. BUYER BEWARE! read more
