    me n 2019 subaru forester
    Alexxa F.

best car experience (i've had many) i've been looking for a car for about 6 months now.....in retrospect, don't go see gavin at subaru in salem or..... anyway, looking online for some time i decided on a subaru forester. rst motors had 2 that i was interested in, although one was bought that same morning. i ended up purchasing my vehicle there, it is a beautiful car in amazing condition! we bought from alex, and he was great. very informative, helpful, to the point but also gave room for us to ask questions and even call elsewhere to see about pricing. he was honest, no pressure and i truly thank this business for the experience! here's a dorky pic of me w my car

Arriving to San Francisco after driving through the night from Columbia Auto Group. No issues with the car - drove better than we expected.

I traveled 934 miles to buy a car from Columbia Auto Group and I don't regret it one bit. Heres the birds eye view of my car purchase. I own and operate a full service video production company (Naknek Design) based out of Los Angeles. Our team had been looking for a Mercedes Sprinter for a while and had been debating purchasing a new one and then building it out for our production gear. Five (5) days ago the team at CAG listed a nearly perfect Sprinter on their site. The stars aligned our team just so happen to see it right when they posted it. It had the exact build out we would have done if we had purchased a brand new one. We called them right away to put a $500 hold on the Sprinter. This allowed CAG to hold the Sprinter for us for five (5) days as we did more research from our HQ in Los Angeles. Unbelievably gracious if ask me. Within the first few hours of us putting our hold down we learned the Sprinter had be totaled by the previous owner and rebuilt by the CAG team. This put a major halt on our progress as we aren't the type of people who buy totaled cars - especially when its a car that is going to be transporting $150,000+ worth off gear. By Monday night we had done some digging online and actually found the original pictures of the Sprinter right after the accident. It had taken a beating, but it certainly wasn't destroyed or even close to it. This caused us to have some more reassurance and desire to dig a little deeper. We eventually got a hold of the company who had done the original build out for the first owner. The owner of that company remembered this exact car and build out job and had even heard about the accident. He was able to spread some light on what exactly happened. Point being it became clear that this Sprinter may be the right car for us after all. But being wise we knew we had to do two things before pulling the trigger on the purchase. 1. Find a solid Sprinter mechanic in the Portland area to do a full checkout of the car 2. If the check out checks out then we would need to fly up to check it out ourselves The team at SAG were more than happy to assist in getting the Sprinter to the Sprinter mechanic of our choice on Tuesday morning. Again, unbelievably gracious if ask me. Our mechanic checked it out: - Engine - Transmission - Body - Electrical - Interior - Frame - Rust - Everything else The report came back nearly perfect. There was a couple of interior things that needed to be replaced, but before we could even decide to fix them the CAG team had asked and paid him to get started on it. Again, great work! At that point we decided we would fly up to Portland Wednesday afternoon to check it our ourselves. We arrived to Columbia Auto Group at around 5:00 pm. Within a couple hours of test driving and double checking the report ourselves we had con concluded that this was this was an amazing Sprinter to purchase and was exactly what we had hoped for. Jared helped us out up until we arrived to CAG. Upon arriving Alex took over and closed the deal for us. I simply cant say enough praise about the quality of customer services these guys gave us. They didn't feel like cars salesman - they just felt like men with integrity trying to help us get what we wanted along the way. They did this to a fault even and honored a lower sale number than the van could have sold for. Again, unbelievably gracious if ask me. By 9:00 pm that night we were on our way back to Los Angeles. We drove through part of the night and had no issues along the way. Thursday afternoon we stopped in San Francisco, took a picture by the bridge with the Sprinter, grab lunched, and connote out through the city. No issues driving those crazy San Francisco hills. We arrived back in Los Angles by Thursday night. Not one issue with the car. It simply did better than we expected. So do I recommend you check out a car from Columbia Auto Group? 100% yes. Keep in mind this is coming from a guy who hated the idea of purchasing a used car from a small dealership like this. Alex and his team has changed my mind on this - at least with their dealership. Do you homework, ask your questions, pay your mechanic to do his job, and if it all checks out - give your money to Columbia Auto Group. Thanks Alex, Jared, and the rest of the Columbia Auto Group! On September 12, 2025, my KIA was going 75mph, and within 30 seconds it went from 75mph to 20mph - LIMP MODE, and then 20 seconds later, it shut off. It was a terrible situation. Other drivers were yelling at me, honking, and flipping me off. I believe my life was in jeopardy; not just my life, my grandson's life who was 6 months old at the time. Simultaneously, the malfunction indicator light (MIL) and the check engine (CE) light were luminated. I was terribly frightened by this LIMP MODE situation, and in just seconds, my KIA created a backup on the highway. I had a fear I was about to get rear ended or involved in a wreck. The KIA was unsafe to drive so it was towed by KIA Roadside Assistance to the dealership, Dennis Eakin KIA in Killeen, TX. I received a voice message that my KIA was ready to pick up. On Friday, September 19th I took an UBER to the dealership to pick up my KIA. Once I arrived, I got the keys and the service ticket from Terry. The service ticket had notes from the mechanic; it showed a stored code of P1C2D03 came up on the scanner; instead of making the repairs, the dealership reset the adaptives. Dennis Eakin KIA cleared the stored code from my KIA's history, then, they claimed it was operating as designed! The dealership had it for a week (09/15/2025 to 09/22/2025). I told several people at the dealership I was not driving it home because it was not repaired. What did the dealership do? The next Monday, September 22, 2025, Dennis Eakin KIA had an employee from the dealership drive my KIA to my house, and park it in my driveway! She drove it with the MIL and CE lights on, AFTER, I had it towed to the dealership and no repairs were done. There is a NTSA recall for my exact model but for the 2022 year vs. 2024. My KIA has an 8-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), 2.5L Turbo - GDI / Engine THETA-III. Everything the NTSA mentions in the recall was/is happening with my KIA. I believe I could have the same issue; as a stored code of P1C2D03 shows the KIA needs replacement of the DTC assembly and for the A/T system software to be updated. That was the last time I drove my KIA because I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT EVER AGAIN! I requested KIA America either replace or repurchase my KIA, so that I would not have to suffer a huge financial loss; they refused. I only have 8,137 miles on my KIA, and it was not conforming to the manufacturer's warranty. I followed all protocol found in the "2024 WARRANTY AND CONSUMER INFORMATION MANUAL" page 101. The dealership had a final opportunity to make the repairs and instead of making the repairs, they removed the stored code from the memory (P1C2D03), and turned off the MIL / CE light. I have been to Mediation with the BBB Auto Line, then Arbitration. In my opinion neither were neutral and to date, 04/05/2026, this situation still has not been resolved! Although the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TXDMV), Lemon Law Investigator accepted my case under the Texas Lemon Law, the hearings for the State of Texas Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) are being scheduled for September 2026. By the time of the hearing, it will be a whole year since it was driven. KIA America forces you into trading it in (making it someone else's problem and causing a huge financial loss), or selling it and I am unwilling to do either one. KIA America needs to stand behind their vehicle and repurchase it from me along with my related expenses. While under Mediation with the BBB Auto Line, KIA America sent a subject matter technical expert (TE) to my home to conduct a full inspection of my KIA. He spent 45 minutes inspecting it; then he drove it. I have his written report; he found more things wrong with it than I was aware of. I was not allowed to talk to him during his inspection, but I did ask him one question as he was leaving; I asked, "If this was your KIA would you drive it", he said "no" and then, "definitely NOT on the highway". This situation has put havoc on me physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually! I was first in contact with the dealership, Dennis Eakin KIA, Killeen, TX, then, have been in touch with Sky Cato, Sarai Espinoza with KIA America Customer Care, Christina Sakhleh with the BBB Auto Line, and KIA Executive Officers; Greg Silvestri, Vice President of Service and Aftersales Operations, Eric Watson, Vice President of Sales Operations, and Russell Wager, Vice President of Marketing, NO ONE CARES! All they talk about on their social media is how many cars they have sold; what about all of us out here with a LEMON KIA! When something goes severely wrong with your KIA, get ready to go more in debt, because no one cares!

Shortly after purchase, multiple issues began happening with the truck, including electrical failures, warning messages, running board malfunctions, and now even additional features like the sunroof not working. There was also a noticeable wobble in one of the tires that was not present before. I took the vehicle to a certified Ram dealership, where they diagnosed serious issues including a broken star connector, ABS communication problems, and wiring harness concerns. These are not minor issues -- they directly affect the vehicle's electrical system and overall safety. All American Chevrolet attempted some repairs, but only partial work was done. The root problem identified in the diagnostic (the star connector and wiring issues) was never fully repaired. Instead, temporary fixes were performed, and I was sent on my way. Since then, the problems have continued and even gotten worse. While Jason, who helped coordinate repairs, was respectful and tried to assist, he ultimately has no authority to resolve the situation. The responsibility falls on management. Sales Manager Bauer did not step in to ensure a proper resolution, and there has been a lack of accountability when it comes to addressing the seriousness of the issues. Finance Manager Michael Hernandez finalized the deal, but given the condition of the vehicle and the problems that surfaced almost immediately, there are serious concerns about how this vehicle was approved for sale. Salesperson Krystal was friendly during the sale, but none of these major issues were disclosed prior to purchase, which is extremely disappointing. At this point, I feel like I was sold a vehicle with pre-existing issues that were not properly addressed, and I am still dealing with ongoing problems. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to have any vehicle thoroughly inspected independently before buying. Transparency and proper repairs are critical, and that was not my experience
