We came here for lunch and it was busy! Loved how the interior was decorated for Valentine's Day. Love the unique drink menu they had. It came with a rubber duck haha. Rreal Taco in Chamblee is easy to spot from the road. It's in this little shopping center. There is free 2 hr parking in front and free 3 hour parking in the parking garage. There is no big deal on parking. You will see people circling for a spot up front. Love the simplicity of the decor. It's a small space but it works. The bar is loaded with a variety of tequila. It's crazy! The kitchen is right upfront across from the bar area. There are booths up front and tables in the back. There is also outside seating for warmer weather. We had a reservation. With it being a small space going to recommend. They have another location in Midtown as well. I haven't been but heard a bigger location. Our waiter promptly greeted us. We discussed drinks and ordered chips and quac to start. The quacomle was really good. It had a little kick to it. I love a little spice. We decided on water and shared a margarita flight to sample little everything. The regular flight had mango, strawberry, regular, and passionfruit. Let me tell you....I can hold my own. Those margaritas were on point. You could taste the tequila for sure. Drinks are must try!! I went with the birria taco with console, which is extra, Spanish rice, and fish taco (salmon). We've been here several times and enjoy it every time. Casual, affordable Mexican food. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite loud inside but everything else makes up for it. There's not too much seating it's a tiny place but there's also a nice patio. There's plenty of parking in the lot. The decor is nice and the music is fun. Our wait staff have all been great too. The food comes out very fast like within a few minutes of ordering almost and comes out as it's ready. My favorite menu item is the nachos. The rice bowl and the tacos are also good. This was my first time trying Rreal tacos. I enjoyed the place the food was ok. The empanada was the best bite. Just a few hiccups, I ordered the gold digger drink which came with dehydrated strawberries, when the waitress brought the drink, we wasn't sure if it was the right one. I asked her if it was correct and if they were out of dehydrated strawberries, she said it was right and no they weren't out of them. Not sure why they wouldn't make the drink the way it was shown and described. I asked for red onions on the side, they didn't bring them so I figured he didn't hear me but I was charged for them. I asked for cheese that was to be on top of the black beans, he brought queso which was not the cheese and I was charged for that. He was good waiter but just few things wrong. Came in on a Sunday or Saturday afternoon I believe with a gf and it was pretty packed. Glad that it's in a plaza where I didn't have to pay for parking. We were seated within a few minutes. Came here on a Friday around 6:30 pm to find the bar and tables already full. It was also well decorated like the other Rreal tacos locations. There was a wait time of an hour for two so we put our names down. About 45 minutes passed before we received the text that the table was ready. They are quick to move on to the next reservations since they did by the time we walked back over to check-in. However, they still were able to give us a different table at their outdoor seats which had blankets up for grabs. Compared to their other location I've been to, the drinks weren't as well prepared. Chips and guacamole were also only okay. Overall, the experience was alright and I'm not sure if I'd go out of my way of returning especially given the price point. read more

We came in unexpectedly and it was PACKED! They did however, accommodate for us outside. It was raining and 44 degree so I was a little concerned but the place was STACKED with the big heaters and they do something I've never seen anywhere else! They give you what appears to be a serape blanket to cover your legs with so that not only the heaters heat up your top but your bottom stays warm too! The food was delicious! I've been wanting to try this place since I started seeing fun ads on Instagram. I finally made it out and was not disappointed! I was very happily surprised and delighted by the holiday decor. So we've been seeing more and more Rreal Tacos popping up and decided to give it one more shot. We totally acknowledge that maybe our original trip nearly a year ago was an off night for the place considering they were still new to the location. Nope. Never going back. Let's start with the menu. I'm fine with QR code menus. I don't like them, they feel as a cold way to bring customers into the dining experience, but that's fine. What I hate about the QR code menu at Rreal Taco is that they're linking users to the regular commercial site. I'm a web developer. I built the site for a certain "we won't sell our soggy chicken sandwiches on Sunday" company and the Rreal Taco site is horrible. People already in your restaurant don't need a menu with animation that messes up page scrolling. The experience feels like a junior developer just learned about CSS keyframes and was like "Mom, look what I can do". It is your in-house menu, keep it simple. Next, the food was bland. I mean, if bland was a flavor that could be marketed (think "New Doritos Bland Flavor Chips"), it would be this. There was absolutely no flavor to the crispy avocado appetizer. My wife normally doesn't like lime added to her tacos, but felt that maybe it needed it because her fish and avocado taco just didn't have any flavor. I had the shrimp and chicken tacos along with the birria taco. I couldn't tell the difference between the shrimp and chicken at all. All I tasted was raw onion. I may not believe in a higher being, but I could be convinced that the combination of lime and cilantro is proof of a god, because the two of them together is a-fking-mazing and yet I don't recollect any cilantro flavoring. I saw it on the tacos, but I didn't taste it. Maybe it was the 2 pounds of raw onion that masked the flavor. Lastly, I just noticed today when looking at our receipt, but flour tacos were an additional charge. As we ordered our tacos, we were asked if we wanted flour or corn and we opted for the flour. At no point were we told that it would cost extra per taco. Now the price isn't the issue. We regularly go to MF Sushi, Aria, and we've recently decided that Bacchanalia is going to be a added to our regular spots. We don't flinch at a $300 meal, so we're not going to care about paying $2 more. The issue is the lack of disclosure. It feels dishonest and that is something we won't deal with. We were wondering why this place gets high marks and we think we figured it out. I will admit that my margarita was strong AF. Again, it didn't have any flavor, but it was strong. And it felt good. So maybe the positive reviews are alcohol induced. Taqueria del Sol is across the street. Go there if you want tacos. Take the 10 minute or so to go to Bar Taco in Buckhead. Hell, we get better tacos from HelloFresh. Man, I'd even go as far to say there is a Chipotle across the street. Gun to my head, I have to choose between Rreal Tacos and Chipotle, I'm sadly choosing Chipotle. read more

The server got the Tajín on the rim and salt on the rim mixed up but the drinks were pretty good. You should taste the alcohol. We started with the Rreal Chicken Nachos as an appetizer. The nachos are absolutely excellent! You will not regret it one bit. I would return just for the nachos alone. The burrito was not flavorful at all. I ordered the steak burrito but it wasn't seasoned so I sent it back and asked for the chicken burrito. The chicken burrito came out a little later and honestly it wasn't seasoned either.
