I paid this company over $10,000 and simply did not receive the promised services. Robert came across as a trustworthy guy with integrity and disappointingly he has literally pocketed our cash and run. Please don't fall for his charm or promises. read more

I recently terminated my pool maintenance contract with this company after 7 years due to poor service and unethical billing practices. At the beginning, the service was excellent because Rob provided the service himself. However, during the last 3 years, the quality of service consistently deteriorated because Rob hired people who weren't trained and did not know how to properly service our pool. Yet, Rob continued to raise the price. Due to his crew member's failure to properly winterize our pool equipment, we had to replace our pool heater this summer, which was an unexpected and significant cost. Rob provided us a quote for the heater and installation work that was more than double the price quoted by three other companies. When we hired another company, Rob became upset and seemed to instruct the person maintaining our pool to provide us the bare minimum service. After his employee's poor service created problems with the quality of our pool water, we asked Rob to personally fix the problem, which he did. However, two months later, he sent us an unexpected bill for over $600 for this visit. We objected to the bill because his visit was covered by our maintenance contract and was necessitated by his employee's poor work. We also objected to the bill because he attempted to charge us over $200 for a pool robot part that we found for $35. Although we asked him to cite any provision in the contract or part invoice supporting his position, he was unable to do so and simply tried to coerce us into paying by refusing to perform our weekly pool cleanings or to close our pool for the winter even though we had already paid for these services under our contract. As a result, we had to hire another company to close our pool and provide winter maintenance work, both of which were additional unexpected and large costs. I highly recommend staying away from Rob's company! read more

I called early one morning for a pool inspection that *had* to be carried out that day for a client who was buying a house in Westport. The owner of the company, Robert, answered the phone and, although he said he was pretty booked, promised to conduct the inspection at the end of the day. He was extremely professional, and clearly understands that good communication and reliability are crucial to a service business. He was true to his word, and by 11 pm(!) that night I had my written report. He was a real lifesaver. read more

Robert and his guys are truly a pleasure to work with. He gives you straight answers and always the most prompt and respectful service. Robert and his team have been AMAZING!!! they are attentive, KIND, professional and go above and beyond with the care of our pool. Robert has made last minute "we are having a pool party" emergency visits day of ... can not say enough good things about this company - bravo! read more

We purchased a home last year and it was our first time owning a pool. I thoroughly researched pool companies before choosing Robert. His reviews were stellar, but he is even more impressive in person. He knows everything about pools and his company offers comprehensive service, not just pool cleaning. We needed someone to look at our existing equipment and Robert was able to patiently explain everything. He does not try to sell you on upgrading to the latest equipment but will optimize your equipment so that it will run well and hopefully last long. He is also extremely professional, responsive and hardworking. He will stay until the job is done and done well. We have been so pleased with his service and our pool looks fantastic, thanks to Robert. read more

Great respond very fast could not service but response was amazing fast. Recommend Review tells you all

Robert provides the absolute best pool maintenance service one can ask for. He is the definition of professionalism, subject knowledge, kindness, and his first concern is always the customer and what's best and most efficient for them. We would never use anyone else to take care of our pool. And that's so for the simple reason that Robert and his team are the absolute best. Five stars do not capture how great he is. read more

I first met Robert while he was wth Glen Gate. To be honest, and GG knows this, the only reason we stayed with GG so long was bc of Robert. When Robert went on his own I immediately signed up for opening, closing and weekly service. Bottom line is I trust Robert. Our pool and spa look great all the time. He's extremely responsive whenever I contact him and most important in the pool business, he's honest. When we've had mechanical issues pop up he always suggests where to buy equipment for the best price and he installs at very reasonable prices. He doesn't gouge his clients and he's incredibly friendly. I won't trust our pool or our family's summer to anyone else. read more

My wife and I just moved into our new house in Stamford where we had an in ground gunite pool we knew was in need of some repair. I am a professional senior aged home owner with six years of lifeguarding in my youth, and most of my adult life have had a pool at my house, so I knew a thing or two about pools. I found Robert and RPM with a search of Yelp and studying the reviews. Actually, first I called the company that serviced the pool before. They did not show up for their appointment, but came unexpectedly the next day, by which time I had already settled on Robert's RPM. Robert made many suggestions, and analyzed what was needed to be done with this neglected pool. We live in an are that has iron contaminated well water for some complications to the prospect. The pool needed an expansion joint put in around the pool to prevent expansion and contraction damage with the weather. It needed cracks in the pool gunite cement repaired, one skimmer line replaced and fixed, an aluminum ladder put in the deep end after having an unsafe old weird stone device removed first, an aluminum hand railing put in the shallow entry end, total replacement of the tiles around the pool, clean water put in the pool by water tank truck. And we wanted the system converted to a no chlorine tablet, newer salt water type system better for our skins. And we wanted weekly maintenance with vacuuming. Robert is extremely knowledgeable, gave fabulous advice and recommendations, and was a man of his word in every way. He was not the cheapest, but he was sure the best. We spent over 17,000 to fix the pool up the right way with Robert, but I am a perfectionist, and am delighted in every way with his work. Furthermore, since the pool was finished on time, and very cleanly done, his maintenance has been nothing less than magnificent. Robert responds easily and quickly to my least phone call or concern. When one of the skimmer flaps was sticking, he was there that afternoon, even though I told him it was no emergency. I would recommend him to anyone wanting pool repair or service. He is one very nice, capable and honest man. read more

Rob and his crew did a fantastic job redoing our pool, upgrading our old pool equipment and redoing the surrounding blue stone and has been incredibly attentive and professional throughout that process and going forward with our pool maintenance. RPM Pool Technitians came to see our pool on the same day I made a call. Very knowledgeable and professional. A few days after the call, our pool, which had been all green with algae after the storm and humidity, was crystal clear, all thanks to RPM Pool Technitians' prompt action. Also, there were follow up calls to make sure that the pool was in good shape. We decided to use their services for the next season. Highly recommended. read more

RPM is the Ultimate #1 Choice! Highly professional, reasonable prices & consistently reliable! The owner, Bob has proven himself with my pool opening and my sister's.... he made it a breeze for us. Robert is a terrific professional who is both great at what he does and has a winning personality. He helped us get our pool in New Canaan open after it had not been properly maintained by the prior owners for a while. He installed a salt filtration system for us; supervised a vinyl liner change, and worked tirelessly to resolve a water leak. His dedication to his work and professionalism are extraordinary; best person to do work on our property by far. Thank you, Robert! read more

Using Robert is a no brainer.... just do it. Tried to have pool serviced by my installer.... was a constant headache... sloppy and grumpy sums it up best. Was counting the days till my pool warranty expired so I could dump them. Switched to Robert... and the process went from a nightmare to a pleasure. He shows up when he says.... texts us when he leaves... and alerts us of any issues. Pool has looked great all season, and he keeps the entire area tidy. Even saved a couple bucks over my old guys. A true professional. read more
