I had to write a review about my experience with Roy's Trees. I contacted them originally with a bit of a scheduling crunch as I was having a wall repaired and needed someone to come by and grind down some stumps that were in the way. I needed someone to show up exactly in between the time that the old wall was being torn down and the new one was coming up. Roy was able to make it happen at the time I needed, he showed up exactly on time, was friendly, courteous and did a terrific job overall. While he was there I had asked him about trimming some palm trees and while he couldn't do it right then, he scheduled some of his guys to come by later that same day and they also did excellent work. I needed a Ficus tree trimmed and a palm tree removed. Roy's communication and service were excellent. He came to see the trees and he took the time to advise me on when and how to trim the Ficus tree. He was not rushed and advised me on some issues I was having with other plants in my back yard as well. On the way out he noticed one of my irrigation valves leaking and suggested an easy way to fix it and where to get the parts. Extremely impressed with Roy's Trees. From the moment they came to provide me with a quote, I was impressed. Rogelio was humble and very knowledgeable. After working with several other companies over the years, it was extremely refreshing to work with honest, hard working individuals. Communication was an A+. I had them prune down two palo verde and cut off dead branches of another tree. They came before 7am and worked diligently until they were done (about 2-2.5 hours). I truly can not recommend Roy's Trees enough. Here is why. I needed two palm trees removed. One was an eye sore to my cul-de-sac and the other a nuisance to my pool and my neighbor. I received several quotes, mostly for about the same price. Roy's Trees came in at the best price but also did more work for less money. Everyone else wanted extra money to grind stumps and these guys did it for less and also added 3 old stumps (still less expensive). Beyond price, the work was very well done. They cleaned up the mess and even moved rocks in my front yard to cover the stump. I could not be happier with the result. My HOA required that the 4 trees bordering the rear backyard wall needed to be trimmed where the canopy of the trees would be 10 ft above the ground. Roy came to the house within a week to provide and estimate. His estimate was about half of what his competitors provided. He was pretty busy so he could not come to do the work for about two weeks which was ok. Three workers showed up and provided the service requested. Roy did not show up himself and reviewed the scope of work over the phone with his crew lead. I then went over the scope again with the crew lead to be sure we were all in agreement. The work was performed satisfactorily. I would use them again for a small job, but not sure they are equipped to handle a large tree removal. read more

The palm trees where approximately 30 ft tall and one had to be pulleyed down from the top due to its proximity to a wall and pavers patio. Terrible service! Please save your time and DO NOT contact them or use their service. After much back and forward on Yelp I was told "tomorrow afternoon" but at the end they never call or show up. I message them in the early afternoon of the appointment and was told "one hour" but 3 hours later, no show. I called and was told there was car trouble and will try to make it. 2 hours later, no call and told me when I call "nope, won't make it today and can't help you tomorrow either" The excuse for not contacting me was "out of service" but somehow they able to answer my call when I call.
