I recently picked up my vehicle from Sturbridge Auto Collision and had a very disappointing…read moreexperience. After getting my car back, I found that my center console had been gone through and items were missing, including a full cup of change (mostly quarters) and a pair of sunglasses. This was not the condition of my vehicle when I dropped it off. When I tried to address the issue, I had to call multiple times and leave several messages before getting a response. It took repeated attempts to reach the owner. When I finally did, I was told there was no reason for anyone to access the center console and that their employees would not do such a thing. Rather than showing concern or willingness to look into what happened, the response felt dismissive and unsympathetic. I was also told the paperwork I signed protects them from any responsibility for missing items, while they denied any involvement and said they had photos showing the car, including the center console, untouched, even though they also stated there would be no reason for anyone to go into it. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication, lack of urgency in returning calls, and lack of empathy or effort to investigate the situation in a meaningful way. Unfortunately, my insurance required me to use an in-network repair facility, so I had little choice but to use this shop. Based on my experience, I would think twice before leaving your vehicle in their care. Fortunately, I had already removed most of my belongings.

I had it "fixed" by a Jeep body shop at Brigham Gill Jeep in Natick which took the situation from bad to worse. Mismatching panels, over spray on the inside of the doors, chipped torque screws, and just a shabby experience all around....oh! And the bubbling of the paint returned in less than a year. Great stuff... Anyway, decided to try a different dealer that had an amazing collision center...Herb Chambers of Millbury. Unfortunately I was not allowed to use their Collision Center as I wasn't in an accident, but was sent to Audette's Auto Body. Divine Intervention. Norman and team are outstanding! The phone is always answered politely and coherently...you can hear the smile on the other end. Norman is informative, and completely honest with what he expects out of the repair. The highest recommendation I can give is that even if I were to have work which required me to pay out of pocket, I would go there in a heartbeat, and I live nowhere near!!!

We called Toyota Care for help. We wound up waiting 3 hours for a tow, but the people at Steve's allowed us to use the lot and the restrooms while we waited. After a ridiculous amount of a wait, Brenda, in the office called the tow company that we were waiting for, and "shook them up". Within 20 minutes the tow showed up. While we were waiting we saw the great body work that they were doing on cars. I would trust these people to work on my car any time.
