2018 Update--- It looks like a recent customer had a…read moresimilar experience as I did, so I changed my rating from a 2 to a 1 because they don't seem to have improved. I also spoke with a few others who had work done in the past 3 years and it's disappointing. --- I recently brought my 2014 Civic here for repairs after my parked car was hit. I really don't like to post a negative review of a small business, but my experience was such that I feel compelled to say something. At the very least maybe management will see and make some improvements going forward. When I picked up my car I found the front tire had what looked like paint from the job, and the spacing between my front bumper and the body of the car was the same as when I brought it in, that is to say, it was still separated (1/4 inch) from the accident damage. I was notified at closing before the weekend that my car was completed. Unfortunately I couldn't pick it up for another 4 days because of Labor Day weekend. And I couldn't pick it up after they closed because my car was still on the lift, which seemed odd to me. 4 days later I picked it up and it looked only partially completed. So arrangements had to be made to bring it back, and at that point there was no apology or strong desire to make things right. If anything my complaint seemed to inconvenience the person I spoke with over the phone. Two days later I picked it up and I will give credit that there was some sense of an acknowledgment that it wasn't done right the first time. Nevertheless, it still wasn't fixed 100% as I was told the bumper would need to be replaced to get it to 100%. I was also told that it was unlikely insurance would pay for an OEM bumper, though when I talked to my insurance company they said an OEM part would be approved as long as the appraiser decided it was necessary. What should have happened is the appraiser should have been called when it was discovered that the bumper wasn't able to be secured properly. At this point I am choosing to live with the gap because my alternative is to start the whole process over with Kearns. I can't take it somewhere else because insurance only pays for a job once. But I think the goal should not have been to mostly fix the car, or the get it to a point where the customer can learn to live with it. The goal should be to fix it 100%, especially where the car is only a few years old. I'm disappointed with the experience and the result. 2 stars for the fact that the side view mirror and the body paint were done right, minus the overspray on the tires that I still haven't been able to completely clean off. But I wish I took my car somewhere else and felt like customer satisfaction and quality work was a higher priority. I would have driven much farther to get those things.

Just got my car back from Turnpike Autobody…read more Dave and co. repaired a gouge in the car by the rear door. It involved filling the gouge and spraying three panels with a three-layer paint job. The job was completed a day early and the workmanship is top class. Looks great. In addition, the car was spotless inside and received a car wash before I left. Looks like it has been detailed. I have taken vehicles (and car parts) to Turnpike Autobody before and have always been delighted with the results. .. and I am not easy to please. They touched up paint on scratch and is no longer visible unless you get 2" away. If I did not have the scratch, it would be perfect. Convenience was huge, I live in western mass, drove out on way to business trip. Called ahead, arrived at 7:30, out by 8:30. Would have been quicker but they wanted paint to dry. Price was reasonable, a lot less than a body shop. Very happy, highly recommend them!

He complained that he'd have to jack the car up again and blah blah blah but I made him do it. So he's cursing at me while he's taking the car back into the shop to jack it up and he finally shows me. Was that so hard? You can take the $29 and buy a little bit of cheer. Upon return of my repaired vehicle, the front driver's side headlight stopped working. I called to ask if Best Auto Body would check it out. Mike Hanc, the owner, said they would happily fix it. Most likely the bulb had come loose from its connection. They did that but here's the amazing part of the story. Mike asked if the car could be brought there that day. I said the car was parked at the MBTA commuter rail station and that a set of car keys was available at my house. He went to my house, received the car keys from my neighbor, picked up and returned the car from the MBTA parking lot, returned the keys to my neighbor and fixed the issue. AMAZING.
