Even when there were delays or issues with materials out of our control, he managed to find creative ways to fix it and within budget. We built great rapport and trust in Scott and his team and that's what made an otherwise stressful process very manageable for us first time home renovators. We also went with Scott's Blackbird custom cabinets for our kitchen, bathroom and bedroom closets and we're absolutely in love. DN Construction is excellent!…read more Darek and his crew have completed three major projects for us: Master Bath, Guest Bath and Kitchen makeovers. Every day they showed up early, laid out tarps, taped off areas as appropriate to limit dust and were extremely hard working. They completed our Guest Bath in five days, the Master Bath in eight days, and four days for the Kitchen. The result is stunningly gorgeous. Darek made our house look like a million bucks ...literally. Darek and his crew are very skilled, considerate craftsmen. Everyday they cleaned up so you could hardly tell they had been here. Any request we made regarding changes was met with Darek's very optimistic, "No problem!" He is confident because he is so capable and truly expert at his craft. Our first project with DN Construction was the large guest bathroom. We needed the job completed in time for Thanksgiving Day guests. Darek and crew worked skillfully and quickly to finish a day ahead. The room was totally transformed. The three hardest things to find are good doctors, good car mechanics and good contractors. DN Construction has been Silicon Valley's best kept secret (until now.) In the Master Bath, they tore out a linen closet to extend the room another 2 feet. They installed a European style hung toilet with in-the-wall tank. The result saves a tremendous amount of space and is very elegant and easy to clean. Darek also installed a heating mat under the floor tiles. The heated floor may be our favorite feature. He expanded the shower and installed a slot drain with tile cover, making it practically invisible. A crystal glass vessel sink and Hansgrohe fixtures finished it off. Our kitchen was about 25 years old, badly in need of updating. We had received estimates that were out of this world. Darek understood our interests, directed us to affordable options, and provided all the information we needed to make well-informed decisions. We ordered the cabinets prior to the tear-out. From start to finish, they completed our kitchen in four days ...it was totally amazing. What a miraculous transformation. We would not hesitate to recommend DN Construction, Darek Szatkowski and his crew for any remodeling project big or small. These guys can do anything. No kidding ...anything. I felt lucky on my decision because: 1)Warren is very helpful to clarify the project into details. he worked out a plan to add foundation without knocking down the whole ADU, saved a lot of costs; 2) quality of the work was great; 3) finished the project in 4 months and delivered project during rental season. 4) I did not get any complaints from main house's tenants or neighbors; 5) I was not bothered by communications with City inspectors during projects and got case cleared soon after the project is done. 6) my tenant is very happy with the ADU and no bother since he moved in.
