I usually do not leave harsh reviews but I want to save other people from using them in the future, so here goes our experience. They might seem responsive at first but this 6-8 month project became a year-long nightmare. We did not let them install the pool cover because the lack of communication and poor workmanship was enough to halt the project. They ignored our calls after awhile and when my wife called them from a different number, they picked up right away. THIS IS SHADY and just goes to show that they don't really care about their existing clients and project and do not want to take responsibility. Also, the contractors seem to have no regard for our property during construction, such as damaging our newly installed drip irrigation at the landscape areas with their trucks. We have a 35' wide driveway, which is more than a regular size and more than enough clearance, yet they still damaged our property. We are extremely disappointed with the services provided by Pool Pros and this review was overdue. From the start, the project was plagued with repeated delays and over-promised completion times. Communication was a major issue; our messages were often ignored, and we had to reach out multiple times to get any response. Ramon only came out when he realized the amount of frustration that were mounting. The quality of work was subpar, and to make matters worse, after only three years, we've experienced significant failures with our coping, pavers, and the controller died; no electrical protection whatsoever. Given these issues, I cannot recommend Pool Pro's to anyone. Avoid their services at all costs! I repeat AVOID! These people do not deserve business when they cut corners. There is absolutely no value of going with them when workmanship is shoddy. Sorry, but all of these positive reviews should be taken lightly as many of the negative reviews reflect what we have experienced. If you do decide to roll the dice? So be it. Poor pros did our did our pool remodel as part of a subcontract with our landscaper. They did not finish the work and getting a hold of them has been incredibly challenging. 1/ They never did the final finish inspection on the pool. When I started chasing them, they realized they needed to submit changes to the building department. Easily avoidable had they been more proactive in checking with us. 2/ Our autofill broke within 2 months of installing it. Chasing them to fix it has been a pain. I started service with Pool Pros a year ago through the recommendation of the landlord since Ramon's uncle built our pool sytem. At first, the pool service was great and consistent. I had zero issues. At the beginning of this year, the pool guy started leaving the pool running when he'd leave. This wasn't a big deal to me. What did matter was the lack of communication that I started experiencing. Prior, I received notice about things that required repairs and was asked if I wanted to fix it or receive an invoice. In the last two months of service, I would try to reach out with questions and receive no response. My calls, texts, and emails all went unanswered. It was very frustrating and then I started receiving invoices for repairs that were never communicated with me.  It was shocking to receive 3 invoices in a single month with absolutely zero communication. I still received zero calls back about it. I texted and emailed the pool service to let them know that I don't plan on continuing with them. I texted Ramon one month in advance and emailed them one week in advance of cancellation. The subsequent month, the pool guy still showed up because he had not been notified. The service has severely declined when the time came to use the pool during the summer. Our pool is green with algae and there wasn't any work done by them until we told them we won't pay them because we haven't been able to use the pool. There is zero communication from the staff who comes in and they turn on/off several things without telling us and we're left wondering if we have to keep it that way. We have paid high electric bills because they left the motor on for several days without telling us and a higher water bill because they left the spigot on. I wouldn't recommend the company at all. It is likely the best service I've received in owning my pool for the last 16 years. I called on them when the last pool person disappeared and left the pool full of algae. We used Pool Pros to do a pool inspection on a house we were in contract to buy. They were horrible with communicating and made a mess of the experience. After confirming the day before AND day of that they would be there on time at 2pm, they failed to notify anyone and texted at 330pm to remind them of the address. The home sellers were home at this time, and got very involved and angry with us for asking questions to the inspector. The inspector didn't even bother to apologise for their lateness or lack of communication. We sensed the homeowners were angry, so I gave the inspector my phone number to follow up with me directly after she finished, about 30 minutes. No phone call, no email, nothing. It took them almost 2 weeks to even type up the basic details, and they sent it to the wrong party. This experience cost us thousands of dollars in negotiations, and I'm furious. If your there to conduct an inspection report, first and foremost, deliver the report!! What a mess. Do not recommend. read more
