I've also had Alex come out and he is fantastic as well. I needed to have a pump replaced and a part in my heater done. Not only did they diagnose it, but the guys also caught some problems and fix them proactively without an extra charge. I had a very strange problem with my pool and spa. About a week ago we set the spa to heat up. it did heat up, but it also drained. we did this two more times in the last few days, and every time it did the same thing. today was the appointment with freedom pool services. Alen who has done a service here before was the tech. I explained the problem as we got to the pool shed and he solved it in five minutes. i was fearing that my Compool controller would have to be replaced, but in fact, the whole problem was that a switch on one of the valves was in the wrong position. i have no idea how it got switched. They came out before noon Jan 2 and traced the problem to the main panel then solved the problem based on a great depth of electrical knowledge. Originally called the team because we noticed some wiring had been chewed on and our heater wasn't working. Assumed it was just the wiring, but found that the rodents had built a nest in the heater and it was ruined. Alan came right on time. 1. He first noticed something and gave me a suggestion (turned out is a great suggestion to help avoid the problem I am having). 2. He then made some observations and did a few test and identified one of the issues and resolved it. 3. He then did some fiddling and checking a few things and was able to resolve my second issue. 4. I mentioned one of the other problems I have and he quickly able to reprogram the heater and took care of the heater control issue. I chose them due to Yelp review instead of the company I have been using since I wasn't happy with that company. I did think those reviews may be over-exaggerated how knowledgeable these guys are... I mean the pool company I used should be just as knowledgeable but I guess I was wrong. They are knowledgeable and experience and was able to resolve all my issues within an hour. My cartridge filter was leaking water at the base so I need to have the problem fixed quickly to avoid a huge water bill. Freedom Pool Services responded to my request, asked where the leak was, and determined that I need a new filter. They gave me a quote which I thought was reasonable. My system was old so there were additional pipe work to be done. They didn't charge extra fee for that. The installation was done in less than 90 minutes despite the rain.
