I called them for service but received none. I thought the cap marked "sewer" on the driveway was the access point. However the driver said it wasn't , we looked around the property and we both had no idea where it was located. He recommended that I go to the county and get a plot map of the location. He said then there would be an hourly dig fee and then a pump fee and maybe a lot more.He then wanted to charge me $145 of which he would apply $45 when I called him back out. I told him that I was unaware of any fee to come out. He said if he told everyone there was a fee that he wouldn't get any business. I was not happy so he reduced the fee to $50. I finally got the plot plan and found a company that was more professional and honest. In about 2 years, I'll use Royal Flush Pumping again to pump my septic tank. TL;DR: Make sure to discuss all the possible extra fees and costs. "+$95. When Juan pulls out the shovel, that's an extra $95" That got my attention. We had agreed to $250 plus a discount for a 1,200 g tank, if the tank was "accessible" . I had risers and had cleared away an access port. The other port was 10% exposed, but I thought they'd need access to only one. Turns out that the septic tank had two parts and both access hatches had to be exposed. So when Mark said, "that's going to be $95 more" I instructed Juan to cease work and step back. "I'll clear off the second riser". It was only going to take me 5 to 10 minutes. Mark said, "That's OK." Juan was more skilled than me. It took him about 5 minutes to clear off the grass and dirt. The "additional $95" quip could have been humor, feedback about unmet expectations ("Oh, I thought there'd be zero shovel work. Our definitions about 'accessible' are different."), exploration about increasing the fee, or a little bit of all those sentiments. All told, it took Mark and Juan about 30 to 40 minutes to be in and out. Mark did a good job explaining septic tank maintenance, the pH levels, and the particulate readings. He also instructed us how to check for toilet leaks. Tip? I ended up not tipping him because there was no discount as discussed during our initial phone call and the momentary confusion about upping the fee by 38%. I'll use Royal Flush in the future because Mark was prompt and he knows his trade. He is a local Riverside business and not part of a larger chain. read more

Apparently this company is too busy for their own good. The woman over a voicemail message willingly turned me away for service because they had a busy day booked (any day of the week would have worked for me) & the driver thought their truck "might be a little too big for our narrow area". They never even came to my property so see the set-up! Well, I gladly called another company that had excellent customer service and a willingness to create a repeat customer and they came and did a successful flush of the tank. A dangerous liability. He broke the lid on my tank. I was not aware of the damage until after he left. I am concerned the lid could cave in. My septic tank was fine before royal flush pumping came to my house, now it is broken and I consider it a liability. The lid can barely support it's own weight, I have doubts it will hold up after being buried. I wouldn't be mad if he owned up to his mistake. We all make mistakes. Judging from his actions and character, I don't see him standing behind his work. I am considering contacting the bbb. How ever unlikely an accident may be, if something did happen it could get somebody hurt or killed. This guy does not have your health and safety in mind. read more

We used Royal Flush to pump our septic tank in April. The tank filled up soon after, most likely due to heavy rain and no fault of the company. When I called for advice the woman who answered the phone told me she had no records because they were "old school" and didn't keep records. I found her to be very evasive and condescending telling me it was our fault the tank was full again and that if they came out again they would charge us. I only wanted information and advice none of which she supplied. When I asked her to have the person who performed the work call me she told me he was out in the field and hard to get a hold of but she would have him give me a call. I never heard from him. The gentleman who did the original work was very professional and did a good job but the poor customer service from this woman makes this company look bad. Sadly we were put into a situation where we needed service ASAP to get our septic tank EMPTIED. Many companies were booked, and unable to come soon enough to our home. We contacted Royal Flush years ago, and I should have known not to call them again, but I had no choice and I needed service ASAP. Royal flush came to our home, and EMPTIED a little over half of our tank size. Why am I paying a certain amount for you to only empty a little over half????? Royal flush does not care that you need them and their services! I would rather wait days for another considerate company, than picking up a phone, and calling this company AGAIN! read more
