Quick response (it was even after normal business hours) to initial service request. Arrival time got pushed back a little bit but honestly that's to be expected. Sal and Ricardo from Honey Doo Wagon Septic Plumbing came to the house today to not only install a new updated riser on our solid side of the tank but also the liquid side of the tank. We live in Alta Loma and anyone who lives up in this area knows we are sitting on river rock. Typically these tanks are three feet below the surface. Ours was almost five feet down, why I don't know. You never know how big the rocks are below the surface until you start digging, and they can get quite big! It's been a long time since I have witnessed a work crew like these two men. Very hard working, professional, efficient, and very good at making the grounds look as close as they did before the work. I just want to say thank you to both of them for a job well done! You both are a standard by which all others should follow! Roger with the tanker truck showed up just at the right time to pump. And Roger was the only one in the 22 years we have lived in this house to tell us we have a problem with our riser. I started having problems with my septic tank this summer. I called a couple of septic companies and they told me the bad news. I tried some line cleaners and root killing fluids, but they didn't work. I called Honey Doo to try a hydo jet and camera. Luckily, I called them, because they explained everything to me, as well as all my options. BTW, hydo jetting did not work, simply too many roots. My system is 40 years old, so time for new leach lines. Juan of Honey Doo was able to put in new leach lines for me and rehab my concrete tank in one week. Honestly I knew nothing about septic tanks... with that being said, we purchased a house just over 2 years ago. This house has a septic system, it had been pumped and inspected prior to us purchasing; on the documents it stated it would need to be pumped every 3-5 years. That was not true... apparently this size tank with a family of 4 should be pumped every 2 years. We realized that Sunday morning. One of our bathrooms began to get a foul smell, reminded me of a porta potty. We immediately contacted Juan... he let us know that he couldn't do it Sunday but he would squeeze us in on Monday. He let us know 30 minutes before arriving. He arrived right on time. I did not know where the tank was located... but he found it in less than 10 seconds. He had to dig 2 large areas in order to get to both parts of the tank (both openings). He pumped both sides and put the dirt and rocks back in place. He gave me alot of information. His job was to find and dig open the lids for pumping. My pit had no marker and my plot map from the county was not very accurate . The people are good and nice but they did not check the FILTER in my tank so.....my tank was cleaned out 4 months ago by "Honey Do", because it was backing up, we did not understand the reason why, because the system was only about 4 or 5 yrs old... NOW WE KNOW WHY! Our filter was needing cleaned. Honey Do did not clean it so when the tank filled and was tring to go to the leach lines again it started to back up. It cost us $ 1125.oo to find out Their mistake. Had Honey Do did a full cleaning like they should , I would not of had to face this 2 days with out the use of our only restroom and a Bill that has caused me finicial stress. I first called GenNex the Plumbing company to see what had happened to our plumbing and why we were backed up. They said they could not see anything because the lines were full. They told us to first get the system pumped so they could see inside the lines. Thats when I called " WEST END" .They came and they said The reason I was backed up was because the Filter had not been cleaned and it was cloged up which is why it was not letting anything out to the leachlines. They said everytime they do a system pumping they Know to always clean the filter, because that is part of a Septic Pumping. I called Honey Do and told the man who answered the phone what happened and he politely told me "OH ok" and he said nothing else. so as of being Polite they are for sure.......but as doing their Job they only do 1/2 of the Job! We had the worst smell coming from our upstairs bathroom. It started in September and grew progressively worse over the last few months. And then when the rains began it was unbearable. We couldn't even use the bathroom anymore. I contacted Juan two days ago and he answered all my questions.
