First, I used to work in the plumbing industry, it is very difficult to maintain good reviews in this industry. To say I was shocked and impressed is an understatement. These ratings are VERY impressive: --A+ Rating at the BBB, 1 (resolved) complaint in 3 years. --Yelp-4.5/5 (6 reviews, now 7 with mine). --Porch-4.73/5 (78 reviews). --Google-4.9/5 (43 reviews). --Facebook-5/5 (5 reviews). I hired them with full confidence in their work. In every interaction I found this company to be very courteous and professional! They communicate very well--very responsive, even answering within an hour when I sent emails after business hours. All my questions and concerns were addressed and answered. They were very mindful about not letting my dog out of the backyard. For the work itself, there were 4 guys (2 licensed plumbers and 2 techs) and my boiler was replaced in 6-7 hours. They cleaned up after their work, and took away the old boiler. I do not hesitate to recommend Thomas, Kyle, Darrell (and the new guy!) at Plumbing and Heating Specialist. When the plumber arrived, he took a look at our situation and immediately knew what was wrong. Instead of charging us, he explained to my husband how to fix the problem himself if he would rather choose that option. My husband was very appreciative as he would rather fix the issue himself. The issue was just as the plumber had described and my husband was able to resolve the problem. We had requested that we have 2 estimates written up: one with the bbq line and one without. This was stated when the appt was made over the phone as well as requested to the tech when he was here. Unfortunately neither estimate was sent for over a week. The receptionist/PM Roxanne who I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and accommodating. She got the estimate emailed to me quickly after requesting it, but then I had to contact them again in order to get the additional estimate that didn't have the bbq line included. Of the 3, these guys were the most expensive estimate I received for the work. The cost was 2x more than the mid price option. They may do great work, but we didn't get that far. I guess there is a reason people tell you to shop around for plumbing work!
