What a find... the buffet changes slightly from day to day with homemade items and includes not only oriental items but 'American' faire. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, too. What's not to love about all-you-can-eat Hibachi and sushi?! Royal ran and ad for valentines day, which included lobster. well I wish you could see what they served for lobster, just the tiny legs on the side of the lobster which there is little or no meat in. In the ad they had a coupon for 15% off but when I went to pay they said couldn't use it on valentine's day but they put it right in the ad and it didn't say you couldn't use it. These people are really big liars and some thing should be done withy them. Royal Buffet was a good Chinese buffet restaurant during its first week, but since then the quality has diminished drastically. It's hard to find the restaurant at fault for this, as their bottom line is at risk by the average patron who bellies up to the trough after waddling through the front door in expectation of an all-you-can-eat several hour smorgasbord. First off the hibachi chef refuse to answer my questions I was never asked if I needed a refill every time someone past and saw an empty glass being a diabetic I desperately needed a cola to bring up my sugar levels. After trying another Chinese buffet in the area, we have determined that this one is the better of the two in the Dixon City area. Best Chinese buffet in town hands down. Good selection of food at the buffet with some choices for the kids who might be a little finicky. Also you have the options of the fresh hibachi station or also the sushi station too, with lots o dessert choices. Way better then the other buffet by Staples. To start the tables are usually sticky even after being wiped. The food is never hot and either overlooked, dry or underdone. The service is terrible and they hardly speak English. While you are eating they are reaching over you to take your plate, fill napkins or soy sauce. While eating the waitress reached over my husband, grabbed the soy sauce and spilled it on him, on a white sweatshirt. I like Chinese Buffets and thought I would try this one again (not a good experience after they first opened) I went to the Hibachi and began selecting items on my plate. I went to put the sauces on my plate that I wanted my food cooked in, like I do at any other hibachi i eat at. The man doing the cooking began to have a fit. he insisted I could not add that to my plate and I tried to get some fried rice with it and he insisted i could not do that. then he began to insist that he inspect my plate. This just spiraled down hill from there. My fiance and I have eaten at this place a handful of times.. but after our expirience yesturday.. We aren't going back ever again. Usually when we go, we do so alone (just him and I). The food is okay, the staff is decent, the price is awesome. The only complaint I've ever had is that the staff seems to rush you out after they feel you've been there long enough. Yesturday was no exception. The two of us brought a friend and a total of 4 kids. All of the children were well behaved and we made sure no one was leaving any kinds of messes for anyone to clean up after we left. It was like pulling teeth to get refills and we seen our waitress in passing a few times. We were there for about 20 minutes. The kids were still eating their food when the waitress comes over to my fiance and said "You pay now??" Then gave him the check. We didn't even argue that she had charged us for all adult dinners when we had 3 kids that were eating (one was an infant) and it was only 1pm. When she brought back his change, she hovered over his shoulder and said "You tip?" That was my fiance's breaking point. He gave her a tip that wouldn't have been nearly as much as it would have been had she done her job, or not put him on the spot the way she had. When she took the money, she loudly said "You cheap skate!" and bustled away. She made us look and feel so terrible that we stopped all the kids from finishing their meal and left.
