Dada's Red Chicken Taco & Saag Paneer Taco
    Matt C.

I AM HERE FOR IT! All about that fusion. A perfectly executed dance of Mexican and Indian flavors. I've been a fan of the Mexican/Korean taco fusion for years, but Roxie's is the first time I've experienced the Mexican/Indian fusion. Now don't expect one giant location. Roxie's is a super tiny place with a few picnic tables inside and out. In my experiences, often the best food comes from hole-in-the-walls like this with simple menus. Two words: DE and LISH. Freshness was oozing from each bite, as well as the accompanying sauces, or chutneys as they call them here. The Dada's Red Chicken was overwhelmingly tender, while the depths of rich flavor of the Saag Paneer made my mouth oh so happy. There's always a kicker, and their kicker has to be the tortillas. Double wrapped, pliable and held their own. I wouldn't be surprised if they make these by hand. It almost inherited the flavor of a thin naan. And I am not one to complain about that sentiment! Although I have so much of Boulder to explore, Roxie's has been my favorite discovery hands down. Delicious eats that won't break the bank. These guys rock!

This place is a gem. So many flavors and fresh. Everything is so good, it's hard to choose but, also, you can't go wrong with anything. They also have some great housemade dipping sauces. Much recommended.

Roxie's Tacos is amazing! I stopped in after seeing all the positive reviews for this business and took it as a sign, since I had just returned from a trip to India a few days prior. A fusion of Indian and Mexican food?! Sold! I must have showed up a couple minutes before they opened, but the door was open and the woman working was super friendly in explaining all of their options. I opted for a Dada's Red Chicken rice bowl, some nachos, and a Hibiscus Limeade, then I went to sit outside and wait for my meal. When the meal came out, it was a much heftier portion than I had anticipated, which was much appreciated. I filled their little cups up with the chutneys so I could try everything, and then went to work on the meal. The meal? It was FANTASTIC! I loved the spiciness (not hot spicy, like full of spices) of the bowl and the cilantro, and all the chutneys were unique and brought a little extra to the dish. The salsa for the chips even had a little extra Indian spices, adding to the "fusion" effect. The Hibiscus Limeade was pretty good also and had a nice mellowing effect for some of the spice (hot spicy). would love to go back here and try one of their burritos, but I'm not often in Boulder. If you happen to be passing through or even if you live within an hour drive, you won't be disappointed with the food and service. One note: there is fairly limited seating, so if they are busy I could see that being an issue for groups.

While I might be biased since my friends run the joint, my disclaimer also comes with assurance of the legit gourmet roots they bring to the art of cooking -- and it shows! I can attest to eating their fantastic dishes and extraordinary meals from Thanksgiving tables to their first restaurant in SF. Roxie's brings thoughtful and innovative flavor profiles to the "India Meets Mexico" concept that I love as a desi person intrigued by the similarity of food and culture between South Asia & Latín America. Food was excellent (Chile Colorado special was bomb!), drinks divine and sunset view of Flatirons on the roof was lovely! They even have chaupulins for you adventurous eaters. Well worth a trip to the Hill, even if you're not a CU student.

Fabulous! Love the Indian flavors served between two corn tortillas and served with chutney selections ranging from a cool cucumber, to huge heat. Very friendly hostess/taco maker Best of all: It is Reasonably Priced. I'm guessing this might be because of the very small $/sqft lease

My favorite taco was the vegetarian panela cheese taco (packed with flavor!), and least favorite was the chicken special taco...bummer since the chicken tacos were more expensive and only sold in sets of two. It was a wonderful atmosphere gorgeous day. What was interesting is there wasn't a lot of people there and I don't think I got a number or anything and she was just like I'll bring it to you and the English was a little bit broken and I thought I miss heard but she insisted that she would bring it out and coming from major cities typically you have a number or a buzzer or something And I didn't get anything so I had no idea what they said wasn't going to come or not and lo and behold about five minutes later she pops up and it's perfect.... It was really nice to slow down and remember that society functions just fine without 1 million gadgets. and that if people say they got you they got you and Durango is one of those towns where they got you

Lucky for me, they had so many food options from all the food trucks and a bar at the center. I decided to eat at the slider food truck and ordered one fliet mignon slider and the Cajun fries. We ended up grabbing at table just in time before we experienced torrential rain. Mind you, it had been sunny and 78 degrees just five minutes before and suddenly was freezing. Well, my version of freezing. Finally the buzzer went off and my sister picked up my order. We all shared the Cajun fries because the portion was definitely shareable and they were so good. The filet slider really impressed me! The blue cheese and caramelized onions were the perfect touch. I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Durango!
