Fine overall. Good for a quick bite. A little different than city street tacos. Staff is also fine, overall. Vibes like a solid four star.

The best meal that my family and I enjoyed during our one-week trip to Durango. Was a little worried walking in around lunchtime with such a large party, but the employees were very welcoming and accommodating. Going off one of the server's recommendations, I ordered the carnitas (shredded pork) burrito with sides of tomatillo and roasted Serrano salsas, which were mouthwateringly delicious. And I'll note that they didn't skimp on the meat. The food was served hot and fresh, it was extremely delicious and filling, and everyone loved what they ordered. Thanks to the few employees working at the time who stepped up and really made our experience a truly enjoyable one! read more

Cute place with nice people behind the counter making your food to order. I'm spoiled by street tacos in Los Angeles , so know that as you read on. Sadly, the chicken tacos are rather bland, even with the salsa verde trying to liven them up. The chicken wasn't warm enough to soften the shredded cheese, much less melt it. SO. GOOD. My husband raved about this place when he lived in Durango, so we stopped in with my dad midmorning for an early lunch. I vaguely remembered my last time here but noticed that they started serving breakfast! I was excited to try something different and ordered their avocado toast. It was delicious! Be sure to read through the description of the dish as it's definitely not what I would've expected for an avo toast. The thick slices of toast are topped with creamy scrambled eggs, bacon, kale, and some balsamic. It was absolute perfection. The entire dish was delicious: I literally devoured the entire thing nearly instantly. My husband went for his usual quesadilla, which I had a bite of and was delicious as always. I'm glad I chose to venture out and try the avocado toast. I'd definitely order some other items from their breakfast menu. This is definitely a pretty casual spot: you walk up to order and grab any available seat. We were fortunate that the weather was pretty nice as most of their seating is on an outdoor patio. Everyone we encountered service-wise was pleasant and helpful. This has definitely become a Durango regular for us and I know we'll be stopping back during our next trip! read more

Not sure if It's under new management, but it had a different feel to the whole restaurant. The menu was difficult to read. Ordered and paid. 2 items were quesadillas and needed to be grilled. We were told they would bring them to us. We went to the patio to sit. 10 - 15 minutes went by and our food did not arrive. Went to ask about it and it became a big issue. They gave our order to other customers! They finally put another order on the grill for us and I waited this time, but was told they would bring it to us. After about 5 minutes it arrived. It tasted good, but was disappointed in the service. They were not very busy. read more

Nini's now has breakfast! (Seriously, this is big news in our little town.) I was amazed by how delicious my breakfast burrito was. It is high protein and seemed to have quality ingredients. Came with a tasty green sauce. Many breakfast choices, including a salmon dish. I work nearby, so this is going to be my go-to spot for breakfast & coffee (a local roast) many mornings now. Still open for lunch and dinner, of course. Dog friendly. Very kind local owners, too. read more

This is an amazing Mexican restaurant in Durango! I'm Mexican and this restaurant caught me by surprise since it's hard finding authentic Mexican food but Nini's tacos were delicious and very flavorful. "funky, casual Mexican"...Love their slogan. My friends and I needed a quick taco fix before heading back to Albuquerque. We had walked by the previous day and I loved the friendly and colorful feel (and I had major food envy after eyeballing someone's quesadilla...). I enjoyed the concept of a build-your-own taco bar and I was very pleased with the price (three different tacos of my choice for about ten bucks). Now, being from Albuquerque, we know our tacos, different levels of heat, and FLAVOR! The salsa menu - YAY for variety. I was hoping for a little more heat with the salsas I chose under their "medium" list, though. They were more of a "mild" standard from what I'm used to in Abq, but the flavors were good. I really liked the "hot" Mango Habanero. My meat choices (chicken, carnitas, barbacoa) were delicious and juicy. All-in-all, a fun choice for our last meal in Durango! read more

It was the best quesadilla I've ever had! They have so many different types of salsa, I added the roasted Serrano salsa. It had a lot of flavor with just enough kick to make it the right amount of spicy so that you still enjoyed your food! Staff was very good. But food was just so, so. Got the chili bomb nachos, and they were put together per order, they were good. Husband got a barbacoa burrito, which was huge, and he said tasted good, but after alittle less than half of food, we were both bloated and miserable. Nice staff. Food filling (e.g. burrito) was fine, but the tortillas are generic and not fresh, so it tastes really inauthentic. Sort of like having burritos at your white uncle's house. I got 3 tacos, phone order for pickup - first it was nice they were willing to customize each one. For instance, I got one each of chicken, carnitas, and barbacoa. Then they were willing to put a different salsa on each one (I didn't have them do that though because I'm not a primadonna). Most times I order tacos I get them and they end up being kind of tiny.
