We love Rowley's Red Barn. We go there often for their wonderful ice cream. They have flavors found no where else. Their staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling (even behind their masks!) gee, wish a place like this was in my hometown.....browse around and don't forget to go into the back refrigerated room for some produce selections....friendly staff said the fresh pastries are made there, but the ice cream comes from their Santaquin location.....wide variety of choices and products, though some appear to be from other companies (not a huge problem)....fresh-fruit slushies were great on a hot day......a Wednesday-only "farmers' market" is currently set up outside from 5-9pm with live music about 6:30 (as of August, 2024).......one-way parking may be difficult when busy.......great spot! read more

Pretty big selection of ice cream with some interesting flavors. The texture of the ice cream is nice in that it is both soft and creamy. I particularly enjoyed the apple crisp ice cream. Pretty inexpensive stop to feed my many children with their demanding stomachs. The environment was fun and casual. Lots of local gifts and produce. The ice cream is Not homemade. It is made in s factory similar to how they make Breyers, Dreyers and store bought ice cream complete with corn syrup and other iggy stuff. False adveritising. Plus they are not really customer friendly. No fruit when we were there but plenty of non- homemade shipped from the factory treat. Nothing was homemade. There are plenty of honest homemade ice cream places go there instead and get healthier ice cream like your grandma used to make rather than this poison toxic stuff. read more

My parents were staying in St. George for a night on our way up to Arches National Park. Being a huge ice cream aficionado, we found Rowley's on yelp. The outside is pretty unassuming, it's literally a red barn (hence the name)! Inside, it was quaint and very inviting. They have various goodies such as jams, jerky, etc. The main show is the homemade ice cream though. I got one scoop of cookie dough and one scoop of peaches and cream. The cookie dough was good but the peaches in cream sent my taste-buds to heaven. It may have been one of the best first bites of ice cream in recent memory. You could tell right off the bat it was homemade, probably from cows in the area as the softness and creaminess of the milk was evident. The little chunks of peaches added just enough tartness to compliment the base ice cream. Sometimes the best things in life are the most simple. Amazing and delicious ice cream! It's a very "hometown" ice cream parlor in St George! There is such a wide variety of ice cream to mix and match and choose from. The portion sizes are huge, so plan accordingly. There is also a cute little local food shop located with the ice cream parlor. Stopped in for ice cream with the family. Walking up we could smell the waffle cones! Rowley's Red Barn is the cutest! Reminded me of a Mennonite grocery store we visited in Tennessee where everything sold is grown, made and packaged on a community/family farm. We sat out back on the porch eating our ice cream enjoying the beautiful trees. Before leaving we purchased pasture raised brown eggs. Glad we found the Rowley's Red Barn! read more

Loved mine, we enjoyed it on their outdoor patio on a warm June day. Couldn't leave without some apple juice, the sample was icey cold - thanks to their walk in refrigerated room filled with apples, corn, and oranges. After attempting to contact the owners, I received no response. I used to love this place. Unfortunately, I had an experience that makes me unwilling to return unless ownership makes a change. An employee and a fellow customer were discussing something - I'm not sure. I had just entered the store. After the customer was out of earshot, the employee, Sydnee, called the guest a vulgar name starting with "F" and "B" IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN. I am not comfortable returning there with my family until this situation is addressed. read more

Out of the four I tried, I enjoyed the summer night (lemons ice cream with a blueberry like jam swirl) the most. The biggest negative was the employees. They seemed impatient with my family. We don't live here, and have never been to this establishment. So a minute or two for us to decide would seem reasonable for a group of 5. Plus there was no one there waiting behind us. My family of seven was looking for a good ice cream place and found Rowley's. The ice cream was a great value for the price (fairly large portions). Between the seven of us we tried the Almond Joy, Lemon Custard, Huckleberry, Carmel Apple, and peanut butter cup. There wasn't one flavor that disappointed and it was really hard to pick a favorite as all of there were amazing (the Lemon Custard may hold a slight lead). We got a few of the white chocolate cashew cherry cookies, as well. They were also delicious. If ice cream is what you are looking for, this is the place to go! read more

I found the Red Barn just okay. I like the idea of the store, but over a few visits I have not been impressed. The service was very disappointing. The girls just sat in a bunch and whispered to each other. It's like the kids working there have not been trained properly. I find the prices are high for what you get. the ice cream serving was weird. A double scoop cost more and you get the same volume as a single scoop. The serving sizes are not consistent, I guess it goes back to the lack of training, each server just does whatever they want. The apples were all pitted and there were bruised and rotten apples left in the boxes. I couldn't find a bag full that was acceptable. Driving over there is not worth the trouble. I would not recommend making the effort to go there. read more

This ice cream is THE BEST all of us had ever had. We had to make sure to go twice in our short trip to St. George, it is that good. My husband is an Oreo ice cream expert and he says this place is the best. Among the 9 of us we had a lot of flavors and everyone raved.
