    them breaking off

I came to get my nails done here, i will say the nail tech and the nail was great but when my nails don't last more then two days because they are paper thin it's an issue. i went back twice in an attempt to give them another chance and my nails are literally flipping upwards because they are so thin, when i went in to the establishment to try and get a refund or even just %50 back because i paid $100 for my nails not to even last two days, the assistant manager threw his hands up at me and claimed the manager is never actually in the store so id have to wait for a call back. was then called back less than 10 minutes later and was told they don't do refunds which isn't posted anywhere on their policies.

Was a walk in. No waiting on a Saturday! And they were busy! Gel nails were quick and beautiful.

I found out about Por Ella (For Her) two weeks ago through social media, when some of my friends…read moreshared their pictures of their opening day. What immediately grabbed my attention besides the super cool-looking building, was that it was an all female Latina team. The concept of being a one-stop shop for self-care is brilliant! The team is made up of five beautiful women who could be models, but instead focus on helping us become our best selves: -Liz- owner focused on tooth gems, whitening, body sculpting & hyaluronic acid pen. -Jocelyn - owner and licensed esthetician- facials and healing of the skin. -Laura -licensed esthetician - lash extensions and brows. -Gali--licensed esthetician - body waxing -Giselle -massage therapist, body sculpting & treatments You can easily book the service of your choice online and see the availability they have. I made an appointment for a facial because my skin takes a toll during winter. If you're a first time client, you can schedule a skin analysis consultation to determine what the best treatment for you is. You can also select a personalized facial which includes a basic cleanse according to your skin type. This is the one I selected. I had not had a facial in over a decade and I forgot how relaxing they are! It was 45 minutes of pure bliss. Do yourself a favor and visit Jocelyn. She uses a steamer to open up your pores and then gets to work. It was so relaxing and the products she uses smell like fruit and something I'd eat. She mentioned they're natural products which I love since my skin is sensitive and can react to harsh chemicals. At the end, it felt like my skin was breathing. Jocelyn gave me a bunch of skin tips and said next time I can schedule a FreshGlo Facial, an ultimate deep cleanse facial focusing on nourishing the skin and targeting main concerns. Even the next day, my skin felt so soft and different from before. I'm hoping I can try the Dermapro Dermaplaining, where she uses a surgical blade to remove the topmost layer of dead skin along with peach fuzz. I've seen videos of this and it looks great! The building they're in is super cool with the exposed brick and industrial feel. I can't wait to try other services. I already booked a deep tissue massage. Come here to relieve everyday stress!

While Sweet Mia doesn't have dry pedicures, it was a great compromise. They use individual copper bowls for each customer that are removed and thoroughly cleaned with alcohol and barbicide. The salon itself is clean and soothing, with thoughtful textures (e.g., woven baskets and lampshades, plants, and other wood elements). Instead of the usual bulky massage chairs, they have comfortable reclining seats. My classic pedicure included a massage with hot stones and towel wraps.

Well I went back today and wound up with the same woman... I have never felt more UNWELCOME in a place. She was once again incredibly rude and this time did not do quality work. I asked for rounded nails, and she gave me very square, CROOKED nails. Also, it's tricky to pick a polish because they don't have swatches of the colors. The color I chose did not look like the color on the bottle, I hate it, but I was terrified to say anything because the woman was so rude. I held back tears because I felt so uncomfortable and frustrated. The woman who came and sat beside me even asked my nail tech why she was so serious. You could literally feel the animosity radiating off of my nail tech. Paying such a high price for such a bad experience makes me sick to my stomach. If you are a friendly person that doesn't want to pay to be treated badly, I do not recommend.

I requested the Pedicure of the Month, but the technician insisted I had asked for the basic "Uniq…read morePedicure," even though I've never ordered that during any of my previous visits. I specifically wanted the pedicure that includes the paraffin wax. When I brought it to the technician's attention, another employee came over visibly frustrated, huffing and puffing, and told me the paraffin wax would cost an additional $15. The issue wasn't the extra charge--it was the poor communication and unprofessional attitude. The technician also told me I had an ingrown toenail and, without asking for my permission, cut my toenail vertically all the way down toward the cuticle. Ironically, that is what caused it to become painful. I explained that my toe wasn't hurting and that if I ever suspected an ingrown toenail, I would see a podiatrist rather than have it treated without my consent. A simple apology for the miscommunication and an effort to make it right--whether by honoring the service that was requested or offering a small discount on a future visit--would have gone a long way. Instead, I felt like I was being treated as though I was trying to get something for free. Unfortunately, the customer service has declined, and because of this experience, I won't be returning.
