Let me start by saying, gel polish is a FIFTEEN DOLLAR up charge. This is not posted anywhere, and we were not warned when we asked for gel. I'm not new to paying an up charge for gel, but $15??? I was expected maybe $10, at MOST. Additionally, the woman doing our pedicures barely spoke to us. She did not ask about our preferred nail shape, length, etc. Then, to top it all off, each of my toenails turned out to be a different shape and length. This place is great! It doesn't look like it would be fantastic from the outside, but never judge a book by its cover right?? My nails were awful before i went in- my thumb nail color was peeling off, half of my nails were lifting off- and when I came out, they looked perfect! I stopped by without an appointment one afternoon just to get a shellac manicure. They took me right away and had a nice array of colors available both for shellac and traditional manicures. The work stations looked clean and sanitary, and the staff was very kind and talkative! They cleaned up my nails and had me on my way fairly quickly, but they did a good job. I noticed a couple spots after the fact where the shellac was a little rough due to no gel coating on the spot, which is the only reason I deducted a star. This is where I got my nails done before my wedding. I highly recommend coming here. The atmosphere is relaxing and nice (it does not smell like nail or cleaning chemicals like some places). The employees are very nice. If you get a shellac manicure and mess up one of your nails soon after you get it done, they will fix it for free. This is very nice and rare, other places have charged me up to $10 just to fix one nail. I found a color of nail polish I liked on Pinterest and they didn't have it in their store when I looked. Khan was absolutely amazing when I went in today! It was the first time I had been seen by him, and we talked the entire time about Harry Potter. It made the visit personable and fun. I usually get a generic French manicure when I go, but due to the holiday season I decided to spice it up a bit with a little glitter. We love Mai at My Nails, but today I personally had Hon, the younger guy with glasses. Wow! I almost never relax completely but he about had me sleeping. That massage was perfection.He was quick but efficient and worked smarter. He put my flip flops on before painting which was genius! lol It was so busy and we were trying to hurry so I just got the basic pedi but I still feel like my feet are baby soft after walking around the rest of the day in flip flops. Clean, relaxing environment and Mai is very nice. Nice massage chairs. Kind of an awkward experience as there was an unhappy customer in there arguing with Mai and another employee while I was there. Pleasantly surprised that they give a shoulder massage with a manicure- I'm not sure if this is because I got shellac or if it come with all manicures. Mai and one other guy were the only ones working. Because of this, I felt it was hard for them to keep up with the number of clients they had. First time ever getting a pedicure and first time visiting this place. My cousins were visiting from out of town and she really wanted to go get a pedicure but none of us knew where to go since we really don't go out for pedicures all that often. After eating, we walked out to this place since it was right next door and figured we would check it out. After just looking in we were pleased with how the place appeared and figured we would just stay here and see how things went. There was five of us and three of them and they were able to accommodate all five us and get us all done within a good time to where we didn't have to wait too long for eachother. The guy who did my pedicure did a great job. My feet and legs felt great afterwards and I was very pleased. The other ladies who worked there were also great. They kept a conversation going at the same time they didn't hassle us the whole time. Everyone I went with stated that they were also very pleased with their pedicures as well. Docking 3 stars for the following reasons: - it appeared that the tools used weren't properly sanitized between customers. I got a French manicure with the shellac on them, its actually helped my nails to be stronger, and I make pizzas, so my hands and nails are constantly being used. It's $25 for the French manicure, and $35 for the french manicure plus the shellac. 10/10 would recommend. I'm giving this place a four star for two reasons, a shellac policy change is just a few dollars cheaper then an actual shellac manicure. I thought the simple polish change was overpriced, but the whole mani was a typical price. Secondly, my polish actually chipped within a day, which was really odd. The environment is very relaxed and clean, every worker is a master of their given trade, and they're all so incredibly Kind. In terms of Quality I'm incredibly impressed, Mai is extremely fast with no deviation from quality what so ever. The price is average but for the quality and customer service you receive I can think of no place else I'd spend my money.
