One thing I would recommend to future customers is to ask about storage fees upfront if your vehicle ends up being declared a total loss. In my case, a storage fee was applied after the total loss determination, which led to a dispute with insurance and significantly delayed my payout. I understand the shop needs to recover costs, but it did create a lengthy delay on my end. Clarifying this early may help avoid similar issues. read more

t now Kris the owner and Mike the manager have taken care of me for over 15 years. I drive about 60,000 miles a year, and have had car crashes . Latest was my Toyota Camry le 2018. Big damage to the unibody structure. When they were done the car looked showroom new. Could not tell. They are extremely honest and take pride in their work. With parts shortages and hidden damage it took a while, but they kept me advised and never minded phone calls. I was a pest and they always were happy to talk to me. Mike was my primary contact and he was awesome. Bent over backwards to put ,e at ease, very well mannered, professional, and knowledgeable. Don't think twice, let them take of you. IF I CAN PUT 0 STARS I WOULD! The worst most unprofessional experience I've ever had it was absolutely terrible! The update picture kept being repeated with no progress being made, I had to be the one to cal and ask the status on my car! At the end they kept pushing back my due date MULTIPLE times now check this out, Friday November 18 (was my cats final due date and I was told by Douge who was working mainly on my car) that it should be good to go by lunch time! I said okay no problem I originally was planning to pick it up in the early morning but no problem I get an hour break so I can pick it up on my lunch break NOPE! I called around noon asking the status and a rude receptionist by the name of Jessica said they still had quiet a few steps to do and couldn't give me an estimated time I said okay fine I get a 2 hour break from 2-4 ( I work in fairfax doing treatments btw) so I figured I'll go then, Douge had told me he will call later in the afternoon with more details ! Let me tell you this man was telling me over the phone that he would leave my car outside with the key hidden under the tired or in the gas pump compartment, he apparently does it all the time too! Now when they called me 1 hour and 15 minutes before they closed that the car was ready and to collect payment over the phone I said no I have cash I can't pay over the phone and that's when everything went down hill! To keep things short my phone cal got passed around to receptionist to douge now let me explain how RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL he is!!! He was yelling to me over the phone, cursing, laughing at me,, mumbling under his breathe while still on the phone and mocking me! I was very frustrated at the fact I have been patient with these people and they couldn't accommodate me! I simply asked to stay AT THE MOST 40 min passed 6 so I can get my car and pay my due fast forward to when douge finally agreed, I made it at exactly 6:20 the employers were still trying to leave too and douge was no where to be seen! A nice man by the name of Joe closed me out and checked out the car before I gave payment, NOW here comes another problem! THERRE WAS WHITE PAINT ALL OVER MY BLACK FRONT SEAT, there's a dent inside my door & the back trunk was poorly put in, this is a 2016 Honda Civic that got Tboned, of course I will be returning very soon to get all this fixed so they have not seen the last of me but spare yourselves people GO ELSE WHERE THIS PLACE IS SHIT read more

It was incredibly difficult to communicate with this establishment. The constant phone tag and back and forth emails was frustrating. They kept pushing back the completion date. Update: My car went in for body work. Now all of a sudden there are multiple electrical and engine issues that had not been present before. Thank god for AAA. Don't chance it, go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Brutal. Thanks for FINALLY doing the right thing. Doug and Mike Jackson are outstanding-sincere and truly helpful. That said, I think it's important that Joe Wu be held to account. He is a hustler and a scam artist (not a particularly talented one mind you). Joe tried to get another $138 from me mid-way through the repair, calling to tell me that I needed to *replace* my whole back right window as a result of a mistake his *glass tech* made. Not only did Wu try to make me pay for his error, but suggested I needed an entirely new window when it was simply a scratch in the tint. At last, the day before I was scheduled to pick up the car, Joe sent an email saying that Rosslyn Auto Body would take care of the tint. How generous. I came to pick up the car. I am told that the repair is going to cost me another $35 for *supplements*. Thankfully, Doug knew to ask whether or not I consented to Joe's *supplements*. I did not. Once the bill was sorted, I went to the car to find an oily residue on the drivers seat, low air pressure in all four tires, and later, as I was driving, my antenna fell into my lap...it had been on the dashboard. Kris Burton: I am really concerned about the way you conduct your business. When I called you after learning that Joe Wu planned to charge me an extra $138, you told me that "you knew nothing about this" and that you'll have to "defer to Joe"... I was under the impression that's Rosslyn Auto Body is your garage? 1 of 2 things could be happening here: either you are truly aloof and unaware of what is going on in your place of business, or you are aware and are simply complacent when it comes to Wu's micro-fraud. I took my Nissan Leaf here when it was rear-ended and needed a new bumper. The car was only a month old! They were super nice, excellent on communications and updates both via email and phone. Always knew who I was when I called. Repair work was done professionally. After returning home I noticed that the car paint had some rough spots, seemed like overspray. They took it back, washed it thoroughly, brought it back out and waited to make sure I was happy with the work. And yes, they were recommended by the insurance company who paid the bill. But they treated me as if I were the customer. Sadly, I had another fender bender a month later. Also not my fault. I brought the car back to Rosslyn and they were just as excellent to work with the second time as the first. read more

In my opinion, Rosslyn Auto Body was quite possibly the worst body shop I have ever used. Certainly one of the worst. I used them because they were a Nationwide Insurance Company recommended shop. Stupid move. NEVER, NEVER, EVER, EVER use an insurance company affiliated body shop . Under this arrangement, the shop works for the insurance company, not the vehicle owner. First, they took more than five weeks to repair the vehicle. The reason for this is they were searching for junk parts. The junk trim did not match the rest of the trim. The junk radiator was for another model and year - clearly marked as such but they didn't care. There was a beer can left in the engine compartment. The air cleaner was hanging loose. Hoses were not reconnected. All in all, a crash turned into a nightmare by these buffoons. read more

This review is not about repair work (they did excellent repair work for me over the years) but this review is about customer service. I am ready to trade my car in and get a new one but want to get the best possible value on my old car. So I took the car in to get an estimate for repairing some pretty ugly dents I made to the front bumper. Kris gave me the estimate for a new bumper and then advised me to forget it -- he didn't think I would recover the cost. His advice was to go to a good car wash to get the car cleaned up. How many people would put the customer's interest above their own? For his honesty and good advice, I commend him with 5 stars. I rarely write reviews, but I am truely impressed with this autobody shop. I have a company fleet vehicle and this shop was an option through my fleet for repairs to be done on the passenger side of my Equinox. Not only did they fix the damages on the passenger side (which was what was approved through my company car insurance policy), but also fixed damages to the front bumper from a previous accident a year back (free of charge) that another shop in Fairfax had neglected to repair when I took it in for assesment. In addition to that, they cleaned and washed my car, to which it looks professionally detailed, and had everything done in 2 days!!!! Big thanks to Joe for being so helpful and efficient!
