Ross Dress For Less is the latest store to open up in the first phase of The Pavilion at Durbin Creek in the Saint John's area. The first phase will house a multi-tenant shopping area. They officially opened on Saturday (10/12/2019). Now, who doesn't want a bargain on clothes, home furnishings, shoes, et-cetera, et-cetera? I visited this place looking for some shoes I can use for Mountain Biking, as well as some nice pants. Great, many selections in hand. This store being new, this location is very clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back to check it out again. Hard to not visit Ross, they have pretty good sales and bargains.

In the ladies fitting room. This is their makeshift solution to locking the door. This one is next to the tri mirrors.

Sam and Suzanne are/have been the greatest at picking out and showing me the newest options that have come in. They both are extremely professional and create such an enjoyable, relaxed and welcoming experience. Highly recommend you pay them a visit and see John Craig's collection of discerning men's fashion...the very best in North Florida and PVB!

The blazers and jackets immediately caught my eye, especially since that's exactly what I'm currently in the market for. I even found myself eyeing the bourbon in the back and thinking maybe I should finally treat myself to a new suit. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of being left alone versus being swarmed the moment I walk into a store. Great representatives know how to strike that balance perfectly. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Despite walking through the entire store, nearly every employee remained glued to their phones, with only one person even looking up to acknowledge my presence. It ultimately left me disappointed, not because I expect over-the-top attention, but because I genuinely appreciate a great suit shop and the experience that is supposed to come with it. A quality suit store has always been about more than just expensive jackets on a rack. The experience, professionalism, atmosphere, and attention to detail are just as much a part of what customers are paying for as the suit itself. Unfortunately, it feels like John and Craig has completely lost sight of that at this location. It's honestly a shame to see standards fall this far in an industry built around presentation, professionalism, and service. ---- Update: After posting this review, I was reached out to directly by Alan, and I do want to add that the response from him was immediate, professional, and sounded genuinely concerned. It actually gave me the impression that the goal of this organization truly is to provide a great customer experience and that, unfortunately, this particular visit simply was not their day to shine. Based on the way this was proactively handled, I have updated both my review and star rating to reflect that effort. I also plan to stop back in again when I get the chance, because first impressions matter, but so does the way a business responds when concerns are brought to their attention. I'm hopeful my next visit will better reflect the standards and experience this brand appears to strive for, and if it does, I will gladly update both my review and star rating accordingly.

Their parking lot gets filled pretty quickly, so while they appear to have ample parking, sometimes you have to park pretty far away. When I entered, I went to the back, where I thought online order pickups would be. I had to pick up two separate orders, one for my dad, and then one for an order I placed yesterday. When I arrived, I went to the back, but this was the self serve pickup. Being totally confused, I asked an associate, I gave her my order number and she says, I don't think it's filled yet after checking and there being no record of the orders. I wound up leaving, then because I didn't want to come back, I downloaded the app and noticed one of my orders, the most recently placed one was canceled, due to the item being out of stock. I came back in, asked an associate about the order my dad placed. Come to find out one of the items in his order, the one that was for pickup was also canceled due to lack of inventory. I wish Kohls would do a better job of making sure items are in stock before allowing you to pay, and then saying your order is good to go.

The manager on duty, Leslie De La Cruz, was shockingly rude, dismissive, and made absolutely no effort to understand or address my situation. The bag in question wasn't just any item it was a meaningful gift from a cherished friend, and it was donated without my approval. I approached the store calmly, simply looking for a reasonable resolution. Instead of listening or offering even a hint of assistance, Leslie repeatedly shut me down, showed no empathy for my discomfort, and acted as if my concerns were an inconvenience. All I asked for was a basic form of compensation, such as a refund or a gift card equal to the value of the donated bag. This was a fair and respectful request given the circumstances, yet the manager chose to offer nothing not even a sincere apology. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied, not only because of the loss of a sentimental item, but because of the unacceptable treatment I received from someone who is supposed to represent the store's values. Customers deserve respect, understanding, and professionalism, none of which were shown to me during this interaction. I truly hope Uptown Cheapskate addresses this issue, because no one should have to go through what I did just to seek a simple and reasonable resolution.
