It is one of our favorite stores in all of Florida. Their prices are affordable. It is better to go to DD's than most Goodwills these days. Especially if you live in Savannah, Ga. However, I've been to other Goodwills where people donate quality items often because they remodel are live in prestigious areas. Now you get better quality for your buck, and it's worth the money you'd decide to spend. Rather than the regular used raggedy Goodwill furniture that you are paying premium prices for and no longer can the poor people afford "Goodwill". Like, really, Wowwww! I went in to DD's today for the first time in a while. They did not have what I was looking for but I saw some great deals. I left and went next door to Burlington Coat Factory and saw a few of the same items at a higher price. DD's is good for accessories and household items. I will be checking here first for those things before going over to Burlington. read more

Great place to shop and save money. Excellent items to select from, including name brands

This is my first time in this store. I was with a friend on the hunt for something kitschy for a costume party so this was our 4th stop arriving here. I don't have a reason to travel to the regency square area after the heyday of the 80s and late 90s so dd's would've never been on my radar to go into much less take a second look at beyond a side-eye look as not to seem interested in what was inside. Upon entering I was pleased that I got a smile from the ladies behind the counter and when making eye contact with strangers as they shopped, they also smiled or gave an acknowledgement that our eyes connected. Unlike a couple of the stores we went into in the Regency Square area where the clothing, accessories and house goods scattered on the floor seemed to be at home there while the racks and shelves appeared to be just an options for their lackadaisical clientele to replace the objects, dd's shoppers were of a different ilk. Imagine shoppers with the understanding that the floor is for walking and the racks and shelves are for the replacement of the items?! For this reason I was inclined to crack a pleasant smile and stay a while to take a couple pictures and see how the rest of this experience was gonna end up. The right side of the store had home goods and decorative items. Along the same side there items for your laundry area and your automotive needs. Across the back from left to right was women's and children(of no specific gender) clothing, shoes and undergarments. Along the right side was men and young adults hats, casual wear and undergarments. Down the center of the floor was the millennial clothing, shoes, weekend-move-something outfits and "freak em" dresses. Towards the checkout counter are racks of impulse items and empty calories, trans fat comfort snacks. I did find some nice off-brand boxers briefs and A-shirts for slouching around the house with the curtains pulled comfort items for $5 apiece. I love how stores like this exist to include their clientele within their level of the social economic spectrum. The spacing met the 33 inches between the aisles and outer areas to meet ADA accommodations (a plus) and beside maybe 2 items that had fallen from the hangers to the floor that I could see, and the occasional packages of men's underwear that were opened by the curious and non-comprehending male where a sign clearly states, "Thank You for NOT opening the underwear packages", this was an impressive little establishment with civil customers. Netta was my checkout person and she was outgoing and made good small talk as she scanned items and wished me a pleasant Easter Sunday. She expressed that they were closed for the holiday as a point of reference to advise me not to come near there unless I wanna waste my time and be met with darkness, a locked door and a closed sign. Warning taken and she even advised her coworker that she is off for the holiday. Netta was the bearer of good news as apparently the overjoyed staff members hadn't got the memo . So I wished everyone a happy Easter, retrieved my debit card from the honking card reader, got my unmentionables and moved toward the exit. This store has potential. We came by here after dinner. This store was in complete disarray. I cannot even believe how bad it was. I see potential for this to be a good store. Autumn and I went in to the fitting rooms and they were nice and spacious(each room). You can only take a maximum of eight items in to try on. I only had two, so did Autumn. We did not find much here. Autumn bought a scrub top for school. I won't rush back here. They do have good prices. read more

Love this store, one of my top ten discount stores. Certain locations serve for different measures. Staff could be more enthusiastic but normally never have any problems. Just need to work on making their guest feel more welcomed and less rushed. But like I said still love the store itself. read more

Lol, I walked in the store and the woman working the register, Paula (name tag) literally looked at me and said nothing. This was my first time stopping by this store and my last. Exceptional customer services goes such a long way. I found a pair of really cute sandals I considered buying but my initial experience wasn't great....at the very least a greeting would have been great. read more

I have mixed feelings about DDs. On the one hand I can find really low priced clothing, shoes, and accessories, on the other hand the quality and style isn't really to my liking. I would say its a love hate type of thing. I love to peek in and walk around when I am in this part of town, but I hardly ever find good quality items, but since you only spending $10 for a pair of shoes, or $7 on a dress, you really can't complain when the strap breaks after a month of wearing them. Yesterday I went to the Regency Location store, I go there every week for myself or to buy something for someone else. I spend no less than $80 and usually more than $100. Well, like I said yesterday I wanted these ankle boots $9.99, but they had a black smudge on the heel. I saw the same boots $14.99, so when I was checking out I said to the cashier I want these boots, but they are marked the wrong amount. She asked me why did I want to do that? I said the same thing I just said, because this one has a dirty mark. I asked her if she could give it to me for the same price, she said no, you have to call over the manager. I said how would I know who the manager is? She just nodded with her head and then said she's over there. Where is there I asked, she then pointed, and there were 2 people over there. She said go and ask them, I said shouldn't you be asking the manager? She asked the one person who was checking someone out and she just look like don't ask me anything. Then she called over the one looking like she was the wizard behind the curtain in The Land Of OZ! She dragged herself over. I repeated myself, then the cashier helping me, decided she finally wanted to chime in, said I told her it's probably because these have been out longer. She had not said anything like that. Then the OZ manager said they been here longer, I asked if she can give them to me for the same price, she said NO! And walked off! I said I wanted the items, the cashier was doing what she was doing and I looked back at the OZ manager and she looked as if she was the ALMIGHTY QUEEN OF OZ LAND! By the time the cashier had finished and totaled the items. I thought about all the times the cashier told me to get my own receipt before I left the store, the time when the cashier told me the item cost more than it did because the ticket had fallen off before I got to the register and I had to go get the same item. And the cashier said I assumed it cost the same as the other one you had (even though it was made by different mfg. and material). And the time when a cashier said in front of customers that the person that had just left seemed to have an attitude because she wanted her to hand her receipt to her, so she acted like she did not hear her. I have had prices matched or adjusted at Burlington, Sears, Penney's, Pier 1, Macy's, Kmart, Walmart and even Dollar General! And to come in dd's and have some youngster, whose power must have gone to her head is crazy to me. I have never been in a store where a customer has to tear off their own receipt! Do I need to start ringing up and taking my own cash, check and any other method of payment? Anyway, when the cashier said $94.something, I just said never mind and walked off, leaving the items I really wanted. So, because she would not adjust my ankle boots from $14.99 to $9.99, dd's lost almost $100 from me! So, whomever this OZ manager was needs to be reprimanded for her stink attitude and you need to change your customer service. CUSTOMER'S should not have to pay you and have to take their own receipt, I'M JUST SAYING! read more
