They contacted me about the car, Blake did a video of the car showing me what the car looked like, he opened the roof and answered all my questions. Having bought 2 used cars here, 10 years apart, I can honestly say, stay the hell away from this dealer. I'm stuck in a Groundhog Day scenario of having bought 2 cars, both with major issues which didn't reveal the extent of the problem until I had driven each enough to find things that don't work. Test driving a car is such a brief moment in time where you're engaged in operating an unfamiliar vehicle and not able to operate each feature as you become familiar with the car. I routinely see reports of dealers resetting computer systems to show no error messages. I can't speak to what the salesman or GM did or didn't do. I know I called immediately re: a low battery error message which has morphed into probably 20 or more features malfunctioning. I made the mistake of trusting what Brett Silver & Kevin Wrobleski told me, & I realize that's naive, but when dealing with a car dealership that has multiple locations I chose to believe being a public retail entity, with the internet allowing for reviews, that dealers should care how they represent their products & services. I was delusional. I'm owning being stupid because I know anyone reading a review can also say, well you shouldn't trust, you shouldn't have gone there a 2nd time. I can hear you. I have my reasons, which now are dust. I was dreadfully wrong. Let me take the hit, so absolutely NO ONE, is left with the disaster I've been left with. A very expensive terrible disaster that Boone Jeep is opting to sweep under the rug, & not return calls & not answer me. They consented to replacing the battery today after I called them for the ? time. However I called a Land Rover dealer today to inquire about the procedure of replacing a Range Rover battery & learned you have to prepare the car for the battery removal, the computer has to be told the battery is coming out. You can't pull it & put a new one in. With a Range Rover there are multiple steps to changing out a battery. The car can be permanently damaged if not done properly so Jeep can't just put a new battery in & they don't have the computer testing equipment & other Land Rover equipment that is used in battery replacement. I am left with a defective car, a significant amount of $ invested in a vehicle that isn't operating correctly & the GM & salesman dodging me every chance they get. I'm exhausted & hope I can spare others. Please go anywhere else, absolutely anywhere, because there a high probability of a bad experience here. You deserve better! read more

They were extremely communicative about when parts would be there, how long to install, how much and when I could pick it up. Terrible experience at Boon Jeep. My wife and I were 4 hours from home when our Jeep had transmission issues, we thought we were lucky to make it to the Jeep dealership until we entered the service department. After discussing what was happing with Service Advisor Dennis, he stated they were booked up for 1 week and to head 45 minutes away to Wilkesboro Jeep as if we had not just told him that the vehicle was in limp mode and would not accelerate over 30 mph. He said nothing else and made no other offer to help at all. I called every other dealership and service station who all stated it would need to be seen by a Jeep dealership for a transmission concern. We reluctantly left the Jeep with Dennis, he offered 0 assistance throughout the ordeal knowing we were 4 hours from home. I had to ask for another employee to drive us to enterprise to rent a car to get back home. As soon as we arrived home 4 hours away the same day, Dennis called to share that they checked out our vehicle that day due to a cancellation and it was a computer module they could easily update and have ready the next morning. At this point we had to drive back days later when able for a total of 8 hours just to pickup a car they could have evaluated the same day if they had made any sort of accommodation or had even a sliver of empathy. It's shocking to have experienced someone in the service industry who makes no effort to help when it's needed. To make things better, when we arrived to pickup the car Dennis handed us the keys and let us know that they park vehicles behind the building and instructed us to go find it somewhere in the parking lot. The Jeep dealership was very nice, but I would recommend avoiding the service department if you need any sort of assistance or expect help of any sort in a difficult time. Drove in for a "Express Oil Change" on July 30, 2022. After a 45 minute wait, went to see why it was taking so long. Found Job done but they didn't let me know. 1 week later, I see a puddle of oil in my garage. Go back on Sept 1 (soonest I could go back; didn't drive this vehicle for 2 weeks) at 8 am. Told service writer the issue and asked them to "take a look"; told "other cars ahead of you". 15 minutes later, I decide to leave and go up the road to "The Oil Change". They take me in immediately. Oil filter found to be very loose and oil gushing. Not trusting work for a simple oil change by Dodge dealer, chose to have complete change by The Oil Change. First off let me say, I purchased an almost new Jeep Wrangler Sahara in 2000 paying cash. I purchased many accessories and had my Jeep serviced there and never had a problem with my Jeep nor service. On Nov. 30, 2020 I went to the Ross dealership to purchase winter tires for a new Jeep I had just purchased. They had a promo going for buy 3 get one for $1 as well as a $50.00 rebate on Bridgestone tires. Upon entering, I handed the gentleman who was helping me a note with what I wanted as well as the size. I wanted Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2, however they could not get these in the size I needed. Upon discussion I decided on the Blizzak WS90. As the guy was preparing the order I waited in the waiting area and researched the tire and found it to have good ratings. Once the order was ready I signed the credit card for my order. The only reciept I got was a little credit card machine printout. Nothing saying what was ordered. On Dec. 15, 2020 I arrived for my appointment to have the tires put on. This is when I was told they sent the wrong size so they would have to be reordered. So they reordered them and I returned to have them put on Dec. 24, 2020. I asked for a rebate form and this was never provided to me. My jeep was totalled the first of Feb. 2021 in an accident. I pulled out the paperwork from the tire purchase to submit to insurance. This was when I noticed errors. The initial tire ordered on Nov. 30, 2020 was the wrong size. A 265/65r17 was ordered when I needed a 215/65r17. Not only was the wrong size ordered but also the wrong tire. A Bridgestone DM-V2 was ordered (which I had initially wanted but they said they could not get this tire in the size I needed.) On Dec. 15, 2020 Ross ordered the correct size which was 215/65r17 in the Bridgestone Blizzak WS90. I was never told that I would not be able to get the promo on this tire. At the very least I should have been informed. It even says on the invoice that the incorrect tire size was ordered, however, they lead me to believe the vendor sent the wrong size. Upon realizing that I had been overcharged by $155.00 and the fact I never got a rebate form I called the dealership. The gentleman who had been helping me laid the blame on me saying I handed him a note with the wrong size. I explained that I went to my car with paper in hand as I wrote the dimensions. I even double checked this before I went to Ross. If you sell tires for a business, why would you think a 265 size tire would fit on a Jeep Renegade? I had also done lots of research to determine what tire would be best. This salesperson was very rude. I later got a call from Don Mele and explained the situation. He offered to check into the situation and call me back. He said as far as the rebate I could possibly still get it. That phone call was several weeks ago and I have heard nothing. So basically I am out $205.00 and some change. I am saddened by this as I will never have anything done at Ross nor will I purchase a vehicle from them in the future. Before my latest dealings with Ross, I researched Jeep dealership's for my purchase of a Renegade. Because of an accident I had to purchase two new vehicles within 3 months. I never found a great inventory nor price at Ross. They took the keys from our hands and gave them to someone else. We had bought two other new vehicles from Ross in the past, and we trade and buy new vehicles often. Waited 1 month for them to fix my car (two weeks to get an appointment, two weeks to fix it), they "fixed it" within the first day for $2000 but when I picked it up the engine was still shutting off while I was driving (dangerous?) I proceeded to drop it off/pick it up 4 more times before they finally put their "best mechanic" on it to find out it was the crank shaft sensor. They charged an additional $40 for the sensor (despite waiting a month and already spending $2K) and I was finally able to drive it. Would not recommend. read more

Jan. 14 2021, brought 2006 jeep liberty in after cutting out and not turning over was told it was fuel related. Ross Jeep fixed/spliced a wire together they said was corroded and was told on friday that problem was fixed and they had checked everything fuel related and it was working. Sat. (next day) car did same thing I brought it in for the first time and had to have car towed back to shop (they would not pay for tow or rental as had to have a four wheel drive or all wheel drive as snow was to deep for my two wheel drive car. Asked if they would give loaner or pay for rental answer was no. On Jan. 31 (another friday) They called and said jeep was ready they had checked everything fuel related and all was good. Again next day jeep cut out doing same thing and left me on the road. They had replaced fuel pump and sending unit this time. Again I called and spoke to kolan (service writer) on friday as well as G.M. Steve silver asking for some consideration as they has jeep for two times both same thing a fuel problem, said jeep was fixed and they had checked everything fuel related and was good, they gave me discount on price of about $150.00 off price but wouldn't admit to not fixing vehicle the first time I brought it in. Not going to pay for tows or rentals. Brought car to third shop after jeep had it twice before and still not fixed. Third shop has since told me whoever put fuel pump in jeep at Ross Jeep put it in crooked and also didn't check why jeep wasn't getting fuel stopped up canister in line and fuel pump put in crooked caused fuel pump to burn up. In process of getting this fixed at other shop. Have contacted jeep corporate and filed complaint. Feel like I was ripped off as they either didn't check jeep as they said they had or didn't know what they were doing. read more

Went to purchase a vehicle from Ross. Was not really impressed with the process but figured I was doing business locally and the deal was about as good as Iwould get anywhere. Finally I went to do my final paperwork. The finance manager was obviously high as a kite he could barely keep his eyes open. He continued to go in and out through the whole process. I nearly walked out. I am really skeptical of a place like that having my personal information I have tried to reach the elusive Randy Ross but he is obviously out of reach and could care less. Biggest ripoff car dealer in High Country. I ordered a Jeep trailer hitch and quoted a price of $272 plus installation. I had an appointment to have it installed at 8:30 am. The car sat outside for 1 and 15 min before someone tooth car into the shop to begin the install. The service advisor said about two hours for the install. The car was finished at 11:05 The bill was for $907 Now less tax that is about $400 an hour giving them the benefit of 1 1/2 hrs of actual work. I was shocked and asked to talk to manager of service. It was downhill from there as the condescending and rude manager asked if I had received a specific quote on labor. I said only an approx two hours of labor to install, was my reply. He said well then we charge by the job not the hour. The interesting point is this is just an install of a hitch NO WIRING HARNESS. I refused to pay as I asked him if $600 labor seemed fair. He reduced the price $200 and i left angry, to say the least.I called the Jeep dealer in Hickory (White Ram,Jeep) and was quoted same price for part $272, but approx $150 for the install. That is still $250 less after the $200 reduction. After checking with friends, I was told they would also never go back as they had awful experiences as well. If you have money to burn and do not mind dealing with crooks, at least get a complete quote or you too will be shocked. Buyer Beware. Not a reputable dealer in the least. read more

Terrible service!!!! I watched the service people just put the phone off the hook instead of answering calls while I was there. I took my warranty vehicle in for oil change have not received the call for 3 days ...? I called four times trying to just get my tires rotated while my vehicle was there for the three days each time on hold for over 30 minutes to and with a person saying" let me take your number and have them call you when they're not so busy" (I never received a call.....) After my follow-up day three. I found out my oil change was complete they just never called to inform me. No tire rotation . First and Last time... We have purchased two Ram 1500 trucks from Ross, a 2015 and a 2017. The buying experience was hassle-free in both cases. The first truck was negotiated via email because we lived out of state at the time. No problems. The second truck was purchased after we moved to NC. Again, the sales person, the sales manager, and the finance person were great. Both trucks had minor glitches that were taken care of promptly. We have had no problems with the service staff and the parts department was able to locate a part and get it installed next day to save a vacation. There were minor recalls that were dealt with smoothly. The dealership is bright, airy, clean, and comfortable if you have to wait for your vehicle. Horrible customer service in the service department. My check engine light came on over the weekend on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee which I purchased at Ross Chrysler in Boone NC. Early this morning I took my car there to have them take a look and see what the problem is with my car. The service department gentleman first asked me if I had an appointment. I told him that this occurred over the weekend so I did not have an opportunity to make an appointment. He then told me they could not look at my car until after Christmas week. I asked him if they would at least do a diagnostic test to see what the problem is. He told me they could not do this and I could keep driving my car as long as the check engine light was not flashing. When I asked him what to do when it did start flashing, he told me to quit driving the car. Unbelievable was their unwillingness to even try and help. It was apparent that this gentleman had no intention of helping. He did not even look up my account to find out that I had purchased my car at this location. I left and then when to Alray Tire here in Boone, NC and they looked at my car immediately and told me the problem. They deserve 5 star! read more

Not happy. Waiting forever for updates & recalls and they offer no loaner service vehicles. When I finally get my car back it's doing the exact same thing it was doing before and I'm told by the service advisor that I need to call Apple what is Apple going to know about my Bluetooth in my jeep? Quite obvious to me they don't know what they're doing or they just don't care which is even worse. I really feel like when you pull in here with a Florida license plate your put on the back burner. Add to that that I am a woman and assumed dumb the minute I walk through the door and you have a tornado. The whole reason I purchased a jeep is because the dealer was nearby and I would not have to drive into Charlotte for an oil change...now I feel like I've made a mistake.
