Today I was helped by a lady named Gabby... Who was extremely helpful... Not only was she solving an issue related to scheduling texts..that I had with a previous staff member...she was very pleasant about making the changes to the appointment and understanding my concern... That being said... We have been with Rosin for over 15 years... And I guess because I have compared other eye care businesses who carry our insurance... Rosin is very expensive! The frames are grossly overpriced.. the Lab & Service can be very slow... And their policy of $50 if you cancel your appointment the day of where I believe each individual case should be looked at with discretion! The doctors are very friendly and professional...Hope you have good insurance...! read more

New to the area and we found out this eyecare takes our insurance. No confirmation when we booked the appointment after calling. Then a day before they told us there's a $50 cancellation fee but not even the website says this. When we came in we were poorly greeted by a blonde lady who was not welcoming. After we were told to wait we heard a girl in front say she wouldn't pretest us. She had short straight black hair and we only like the doctor not the staff so hopefully she leaves. read more

The doctor was a friendly and professional lady; however, the staff was not the best. I requested that they release my records to my new eye doctor, and they gave me a hard time. Nicole was not collaborating to send a release form to my new doctor so I could complete it and get the record. I'm glad I'm not going back with them. read more

Rosin has been my eye care provider for several years- The Doctors & staff are all professional and value the patients time. They expedite any orders for eyewear or contact lenses in a very timely manner! read more

The doctor is good and they have a pretty decent frame selection. but one lady has personal hygiene issues and has a strong stench when you go near her. she sat at the desk on the end and was unavoidable read more

Came here with my husband for his annual vision exam from work. He needed to be dilated so I was his driver. His insurance switched so we came back to Rosin after a dozen + years with another insurance. Everyone was very caring and wonderful! read more

Tried to get a replacement pair of contacts before the year ended. Called twice and explained what I needed. Never got back to me. I am not doing business with them anymore. read more

called this place and the lady said they don't take walk in appointments. she was very rude. don't know how they make any money that way. went to Costco instead. read more

I usually don't give bad reviews, but I was not satisfied with the service I received. I understand that a new computer system slows processing, but every employee struggled with entering anything and spent 10 minutes working with a trainer to work. But I was really disappointed with the service afterward. My first pair of glasses was okay, but my second one was never sent. I had to call every week or every day to find out what was happening because no one would call me back. Finally, it was determined they submitted my glasses to the wrong laboratory because my insurance did not pay for my second pair. Finally, after two months, I have my glasses, and to be honest, I am not crazy about the prescription because I do not feel I see better with them. I am shopping for a new eye doctor in the future. read more

Dr. Godwin was great. Very professional and courteous. Hopefully he separates himself from the rest of the staff and goes elsewhere. The rest of the staff was quite mean and rude. They told me to arrive early which I did. Then they made me wait a good 30-40 minutes and blamed me for the wait. Then they could not answer very basic questions such as "how much will lenses cost?". Any questions I asked were met with short and rude answers as if I were a huge inconvenience and nuisance. Won't be going back. read more

No one knows where my glasses are that were ordered several weeks ago. Each person I spoke with gave me a different excuse. I've been going to this location for 8 years and am extremely disappointed with the service and lack of follow up. read more

I have been going to Rosin since I was in the 7th grade. i am now in my 60s'. Dr. Owens is top notch, and the reason i keep going back, I had my appt on March 18th. It is now May 24 and I still don't have my glasses. Ordered a pair, but they were not lined up correctly. I even asked the optician to make sue they were lined up correctly because the glass was so large. 2nd pair came in and still not right. Went to Downers Grove location which is convenient to my office and was told that they would have never allowed me to order the frames I did because they were not right for my prescription. However, they told me I HAD to go back to So Naperville to pick different frames. Because of work schedule, I can only go on Saturdays. Ordered different frames on May 13. Called today to see if my glasses were in and was told there was a mixup at the lab and the frames were not ordered. It's going on 10 weeks without new glasses! I had similar issues last year and it took forever to get my glasses. read more

Our family went to this location for several years, and I have attempted to work with managers over the years with numerous issues. Recently after a HIPAA violation I decided to move my family from the practice. This violation was reported to the office of civil rights. This office lacks professionalism, training, and organization. They incorrectly measured my glasses, which had to be re-ordered. There has been so numerous errors at this location with the staff. They even scheduled me for an appointment on a day. No one was present in the office. I would never return to this location or recommend this office. read more

Rosin Eye Care is top notch. Dr. Owens is a fine doctor. They always work to get you the best deals on contacts and glasses. The staff is courteous and professional. I really enjoy dealing with Rosin. read more

The doctor and eye care received are excellent. Rosin, however, discriminates scheduling appointments based on whether one has Medicaid or Medicare. Medicare patients are priorotized over Medicaid, making it impossible for Medicaid patients to schedule in advance. read more

My husband ordered his glasses in the middle of January and was told they would be in within two weeks. It ended up taking four to five weeks for the glasses to come in. When they finally arrived, they do not have the nose cushions. He's walking around with the bare metal nose pieces directly on his nose. Rosin then had to order the nose pads. It's now been two weeks, no word from Rosin so we called today. "Oddly enough, the nose pieces are back ordered." Having paid over $400 after insurance for these glasses, one would think the nose pads would already be on the glasses. Disappointed with this whole experience and will not visit or recommend Rosin. read more

Sent my 17 year old daughter in to Rosin Eye care after my spinal surgery with our family caregiver. When I was making the appointment, the schedule maker understood physically I would not be able to make it, they said just as long as she was with an adult she would be fine. My daughter is 17 and was accompanied by an adult. She took the afternoon off of school, was escorted by an adult and was turned away. NOT one worker from Rosin called me, my daughter called on her way home after being turned away. I called CATHY at Rosin and asked whatelse she needed to get her eyes checked?. Cathy stated she needed to talk to another staff member in which I was refused that persons name, or a number. As Cathy simply stated , "We sent your daughter on her way and do not have any appointments left for her". I asked for a note for school for her to have an excuse appsence, and she did not give her one, even after my daughter drove back for one. This is not our first time at this office. We are a family of 6 and we all have been here for 5 years religiously. What poor customer service. They knew my daughter would be with an adult at the time of making the appointment. We will not be suggesting this place for any families or people looking for an eye doctor. I would guarantee the doctors have no idea that this is how his staff team turns people away with great insurance to boot. Now I can see as to why the office is so empty. read more

I would highly recommend this place if you enjoy being charged egregious fees without your knowledge. We went into this store ready to drop close to $500 on a pair of designer frames when they hit us with absurd fees for an eye exam. Our insurance clearly calls for only a flat Co-pay, but the rep refused to remove the charge. We have taken our business elsewhere. Make sure you ask about any and all fees in advance prior to sitting down for an exam or you will be in for a not-so-nice surprise at the end!! I recommend going to one of the national chains; they always run BOGO promos and except most insurances! Good luck and BEWARE!!! read more

I still cannot see with the glasses I received, this despite having brought them back in for adjustment which took weeks to complete...." had to send them to lab.." I was told. Error on their end lining up vision correctly. Still cannot see right and now told no warranty's but to bring them in anyway. Very disappointed read more

The optometrist is fantastic. However, the office staff are rude and unfriendly. Avoid this location!! Which is unfortunate because the doctor is actually really really nice read more

I have been using Rosin Eyecare for my eyeware for years. Currently visit the Rte 59 location in Naperville. The doctors I have seen do a thorough exam. The current staff were courteous and helpful. My last experience ordering a replacement pair of contacts was terrible. Evidently the supplier was out of stock with the material. It took weeks to receive my contacts. I had to call them to see what the hold up was. Very disappointed with that encounter. read more

I have been going to this place for both myself and my daughter with declining satisfaction. last year they charged me a fortune and couldn't explain the charges or how they did the insurance discounts. I got the distinct feeling that they were not completely on the up and up but I couldn't put my finger on it. At the end of the appt they pressure you to book for next year. I did. They sent a reminder card and we went at the date and time on the card. turns on in very small writing that it says to keep this appt . you must call THEM to confirm or they will cancel... the girl at the first desk was not apologetic or nice couldn't get us in that day (took the day off for this) and didn't have anything until after the new year, which basically means my vision benefits were wasted for an entire year. Not going back... read more

I was recently there, and I received excellent treatment beginning from the staff to the doctor. I totally recommend them anytime!! read more

The staff at Rosin Eyecare always goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. You can tell that the staff has been empowered to make customer service decisions. The front desk staff always calls around and uses google to price match my contacts getting me the lowest price on a year supply. The staff is friendly and happy in their work environment. My six year old son sees a specialist but we always return to Rosin to order his glasses. We ordered two pairs of transition lense glasses for him. During the ordering a computer mistake was made and only one pair had the lenses and my bill reflected that. Rosin however reordered the second pair free of charge. I highly recommend Rosin, they understand the art of customer service! read more

Rosin on Rt 59 is 5 star service all the way. Friendly, professional staff go above and beyond to make each visit a positive experience. You can count on a warm reception, a comprehensive exam, and genuinely great people to meet your vision needs. We LOVE Rosin bc the people there make it a business you want to go back to. Thanks Rosin staff! read more

When my son and I first walked in one of the employees was having an argument with someone over the phone right by the door. Another employee gave me someone else's filled out paperwork to review, even tho I was a first time customer... and yes, it had their confidential medical history and social's listen on the documents. The door argument girl was abrasive and came off really rude while explaining our insurance application to the appointment. The exam was lack luster and I could tell the Dr. did not want to help my son. He did not suggest dilating his eyes or any other course of treatment with him and instead refereed us to a different place. After taking my son to a different doctor who was amazing, I am telling you to please seek out other options for your kids instead of making an appointment here. read more

This location has gone from bad to GREAT! We used this Rosin Eyecare location many times in the past - early to mid 2000's. We were pleased with the service and customer focus. We didn't need new glasses for a few years - but on occasion we would go into the office to just get simple adjustments. Somewhere along the years the staff changed - and the service and customer focus went from great to bad. So we stopped going to them. BUT - we decided to give it one more try ... and we are VERY HAPPY!!! There is a whole new team in the office. Kara - the office manager is dedicated, friendly, helpful and totally customer focused. Allivia is another team member that we interacted with - she too, is dedicated, friendly and very helpful. The other members (we did not have direct interaction with them) greeted us and others who came into the office. THE OFFICE HAS A COMPLETE TURNAROUND FOR THE BETTER. I can only say, that if you experienced the poor service of years before, and stayed away from them, go back to them. A whole new team, a whole new great customer focus. A pleasant experience. read more

I was very pleased with the Doctor and my visit in general. Everyone was very professional and helpful. Definitely recommend Rosin Eyecare on RT 59 in Naperville. read more

I will start by saying that I have used Rosin in Naperville on Ogden and in Downers Grove before and had no issues. I went to the south Naperville location on 59 in Dec 2010 for an eye exam and new glasses. Dr. Owens seemed nice enough but it felt like the office staff was trying to get as much money from me as possible. After receiving my glasses it was clear they were not the right prescription. I called and the staff brought me back for some more measurements and another exam. The new glasses came in and I still couldn't see as well as I could with my old glasses. After weeks of going back and forth with the office staff (who were rude), they ended up refunding my money for the glasses. The problem is that they wouldn't refund my money for eye exam. I can't get a new pair of glasses somewhere else because I don't have an accurate prescription and I've already used my eye exam benefit through my insurance. Don't waste your time or money here. read more
