It's painted a light mossy green which is soothing. I really like the large chandelier in the front area and the funky chic silver filigree lights in the pedicure area. I had booked an appointment for noon and I had to wait about 15 minutes for my turn. They were really busy on Saturday. The pedicure was ok. Then it was time for my manicure. The guy in the shop did my manicure and did a terrible job of it. He was filing my nails wildly and I ended up fixing some nails that were not looking good. Then after he painted my nails, I looked closely at them and noticed he missed parts here and there and I saw fibers from the cotton balls mixed in the polish. What a mess. So he removed all the polish and started over. But he made a mess again. The one girl came over to finish my manicure and I was pleased with what she did. Overall it was pretty good and I'll most likely return as long as I don't have the guy do my mani pedi.

This is the place to go in Calgary if you want quality gel/ acrylic nail designs for the same price…read moreof any other nails salon that does a mediocre/fast paced job. There are only two ladies who take care of gel/acrylic nails so it is always good to make an appointment (even if you just need one nail fixed). I've been going there for many months now and I will stay a loyal customer. I do have one tip! I work in an industry where a lot of lifting is required and my nails seem to break often so I have always asked for a thicker coat of acrylic and that always seems to work! No broken nails! Ps. They also have an Instagram account called esnail_calgary where you can check out a lot of their designs.

Receptionist was busy at the coffee bar too. When I asked the receptionist if there was a problem she told me that she would call and see where Miki was. I left and called back and was told she wasnt picking up or responding. Several hours later I rec'd a VM from Mike offering to rebook. No apology just an explanation that there was a glitch in Lola's system and i shouldnt have been able to book so close to the date of the appointment. A complete waste of time. My Experience with Lola Lash Bar was disappointing and unprofessional. Would not recommend.

I wanted my eyebrows done as well and last minute decided to do my lips. I am SO HAPPY with my work, as well as my mom, she is over the moon about her new brows. The spa was clean and SO CUTE, in a renovated super cute old house. Parking was easy and they are SO friendly and kind. The kindest people I have met. Relaxing atmosphere. We got a great deal as we went during a promotion (thank god). I will be recommending this place to anyone that is interested in getting any tattoo cosmetic work done. Happy with the results 100% and I am excited to go back to get some small touch ups. They went above and beyond!

I enrolled in the Permanent Makeup course at Biotouch Alberta and felt the need to advise others of…read moremy experience. I wish that I would have read reviews such as the one I'm leaving prior to investing $4000 in this course. To sum it up, not only is the course not worth the money, you also do not leave with all of the information or experience required to feel confident to begin a career in this field. First off, you're told that your $4000 investment for a 1 week course will also include all the equipment you need to get started. However what we weren't told is that we would have to spend another $1000 to purchase additional product that you absolutely need to start seeing clients. The first day of instruction went well. However there was very little instruction provided on the days to follow. We often had to work on live models with as little as 1 hour of class instruction and a little homework we did outside of the location the night before with no one to properly guide us. This is pretty well how things went for every new service we "learnt". Class was set to start at 10am every morning, and we would show up and be left to chat amongst ourselves until almost lunchtime...which was followed with working on a live model. (Keep in mind you've only had about 1 hour of class time to learn the service you were about to perform and a little practice you did on your own on a few skin sheets the night before). Considering the fact that we are rendering semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing services that's not sufficient, and I'm sure many models would have turned away if they knew. I could have learnt what was taught in this course by buying a $40 book on Amazon and watching a few YouTube videos. To top it all off, the instructors were quite rude to us while we worked on models. They expected you to know exactly every step of the process on the first try without providing us with the information to allow us to do so. I am so disappointed to have wasted $4000 on this, it still bothers me 3 months later. I simply can't recommend this course to anyone.

I went to Adrienne after months of searching for the right lash technician. I got them done at a…read moresalon once (after serious recommendations from friends) for a wedding and they were so bothersome, I actually ended up plucking them off after 3 weeks - which left me lashless and swearing off extensions ever again. A few months later, I decided I missed the look of extensions and shopped around. The market for lash techs is definitely saturated, almost anyone can get a certification...pretty intimidating stuff. When I found xoxolashes I was immediately impressed. I chose Adrienne because of her background as an optician and the amazing reviews on her site. I figured if anyone knew about lashes it would be someone who has worked with eyes for 10+ years. I have a history of bad eyes, I got lasik surgery, had a disease where I was going blind and I have chronically dry eyes so I am skeptical of having anyone come close to them. Adrienne was very gentle and understanding of this and took great care in making sure I was comfortable. She truly listened to what I wanted with my lashes. I didn't want a very intense look, and I didn't want them too long. I told her "I want people to look at me and not be sure if I'm wearing false lashes or if I just have really good mascara on" and I got JUST that. It was perfect. I woke up the next day and actually completely forgot I had lash extensions - which is a solid indication of a job well done. It's been a couple weeks now, and my lashes aren't irritating me, they aren't flailing around, nor are they itchy. I'm glad I gave lash extensions another shot. I get compliments all the time, and getting ready is such a breeze in the mornings (I get to sleep in a little now!) I definitely recommend xoxolashes to anyone looking to switch technicians, or looking to try extensions for the first time. Its totally painless and so low maintenance compared to applying and removing make up everyday!
