Dr. Cursaro is very friendly and does fantastic work. He is very attentive and proactive in asking me about how my contacts and glasses are working (and how life is going in general), and it is clear he really loves what he does and cares about his patients. Scheduling is quick and easy, and I've never waited substantially for my appointments. The contacts I just ordered at my recent visit came in the mail just 2-3 days later. They've worked with me on getting comfortable contacts, which was always a problem at the office I went to previously, and quickly resolved the issue! They even helped repair my old set of glasses free of charge! Their selection of frames is great, and the unparalleled service you get here makes it worth parking downtown (which isn't too bad, as there are usually free spots on Marconi and Front if you don't want to troll the connected garage for unreserved spots).

My wife was like, I'm going... made you an appointment too. Visit was great. The doctor made the exam portion very quick and enjoyable. We then got to sit down and try on all the glasses. At least it felt like every pair in the place. Was probably just a fraction of what they have. The associate who helped us also really seemed to have a knack for finding the style we were after and none of what we didn't like. I made an appointment for 9:00 AM, which is right when they open, and check-in went very smoothly, and I was in the office with Dr. Humphrey within about five minutes. I was informed at the outset that they don't take my insurance, but realistically that's not their fault at all, and I was fine with paying the $144 for the consultation and scanning. Dr. Humphrey was truly great -- she has a very kind and calm manner, and is soft spoken and gentle with administering the various optical devices. It was clear quite early on that my eyes were perfectly fine, which was welcome news, as I have a family history of glaucoma, and almost all of my family members wear glasses. I've had occasional day-long blurriness in one of my eyes for quite a few years (i.e. since *before* my last eye exam in 2014), but while Dr. Humphrey couldn't say definitively what the cause might be, she made a number of simple suggestions to see if those will help, and to return if the problem persists. Finally, while my visit wasn't very long, it felt like the staff were all friendly and harmonious. There was just a good vibe among them, and I'm guessing that's a perk of it being a fairly small practice. Overall, I was fine with paying out of pocket for a good experience, and will recommend my contacts-wearing girlfriend switch over to this optometrist as well.
