Ok so I am suuuuuuuper picky when it comes to my computers. I usually fix them myself but this time around i didn't have the time or the focus for it. Enter Rosedale computers. I had such a pleasant experience. I needed a new motherboard and they sourced one for me and had it installed in a reasonable time frame and made sure I was happy with the choice of part before installing it. The price was reasonable and the work honest. Which isn't always easy to find in repair shops. I would totally recommend their services. Cheaper doesn't always mean good service. Parts and labour is not easy or cheap. Especially on some computers the labour is intense. I would know usually I'm doing the labour and it's not easy! If you want good honest work, for sure check these guys out. They've been around for many many years and as I understand from the owner they have over 15 years of experience. So you are in great hands. Oh and I brought a 2010 iMac unibody to them for reference. And it came back super clean, not a singe scratch or finger print on my screen (which I'm always worried about) and running without any glitches. Friendly owner/operator. I thought I'd need to buy a brand new computer but he replaced the hard drive. My old laptop is like NEW :) They also sell refurbished monitors. If you want a giant monitor and not pay $$$ this is a good place to check . read more

Rosedale Computers has been an amazing addition to our neighbourhood... I had an older iMac desktop, which I brought in, and they upgraded the internal hardware, then spiffed up all the software, and boom, I had a computer that was almost shiny new, at a fraction of the price...It still works! Why buy brand new all the time, when you can renovate your older computers? Because you didn't have a great resource like Rosedale computers to renovate right? Later, I got a great used MacBook Pro laptop from Rosedale Computers, again at a tiny fraction of what it might normally cost, with all updated software and hardware, and it works so well! I also have an IPad that I needed for travel ,from Rosedale Computers, again, at an affordable price... I'm tired of shelling out big money for brand new up to the minute technology that breaks my wallet and probably ruins the environment because each time you buy new, you throw out old... Rosedale computers is a great answer to the addictive wastage of always need need need new technology...They fix, repair, replace, renovate, what you have, and I think that is a better way to go... Plus I still have money in my budget for winter boots, and things I really need... Great fast service...Smart repairs...Honest pricing...Real people... read more

Be careful of the owner here. He's also a real estate salesman, so he'll try to be all sales-y with you when most IT places are really supposed to assist you and provide services. Be especially careful of how he bills you for services. He will pull numbers out of thin air to try and up sell you for more. This is especially dangerous since he doesn't seem to have a price list for services lying around his store. I would avoid this place. I'd trust IT computer franchises more than local IT help stores. read more

I went to the Rosedale Computer on March 21st, 2019 to get my laptop fixed. I spoke to the shop owner, Kia, who ensured me things will go smoothly and felt very confident that he would be able to fix my laptop. Unfortunately after a few days of waiting he was not able to. At the beginning, before handing over my $2000 gaming laptop, I have stated very clearly that the laptop is very valuable to me and I requested that he take good care of my laptop and he ensured me that he would take care of it like it was his own. After receiving a phone call from him saying he couldn't fix my laptop, he decided to get his technicians to try with no charge. I was extremely grateful that he was able to do this. I am a student and the laptop is something I really needed as finals were coming. After waiting over a week, he was not able to fix my laptop which I totally respected because at least he tried. After returning my laptop back, I looked over it quickly before exiting the store but when I got home, I found three scratches on the upper case and a small dent on the speaker of my laptop. I quickly called Kia and he said take a picture and come down here to see what he can do. I go back to the store just to have Kia tell me that "it is not a scratch from a technicians point of view." So obviously I got upset because a scratch is a physical score or mark on a surface created by a sharp or pointy object. He asked me how he could help so I asked him if it's possible to replace the upper case that had been damaged in his shop. He said it was not possible so I asked what he could do and he said nothing. I don't understand why he would ask what he can do it help if he was going to tell me nothing could be done. When I brought it to his store I expected it to be returned in the same condition, not scratched. At the end of the conversation, I said I was not happy with the service provided and that I was going to write a review. Kia took out his phone and started recording me without my permission. I would not recommend this place due to the poor service that I received and lack of professionalism, unless of course you want to be randomly recorded without consent. read more

I went to TECHKNOW SPACE FIRST they didnt' solve my netbook problem, My netbook reboot but it says press "any key and continue" thats it, it wont continue anymore..the techie asked questions why I'm using Linux and what I did use it for. Puzzled, It was pre-installed when I bought it, I guess he cannot help me but instead belittled me because I had been using old OS. I went to ROSEDALE COMPUTERS, in Rosedale/Yonge St. Mr, Kia, check it and told me it was hard drive, He charge me $120 for the new hard drive, upgrade to Windows XP and more memory...it takes few days but no rush..still its cheap.. read more

Thank goodness for Kia at Rosedale Computers. This is a man and a business that you can really trust. Kia made a house call to set up my new desktop computer in 2016. Recently I became the victim of internet scammers and he took care of both my husband`s and my computer.He installed software to protect us and answered every question that I had.No question was too trivial.. He reassured me that all was well. He has remoted into my computer to check out things that concerned me. I will never go to anyone else for my computer needs. I had two older laptops with issues and Kia quickly diagnosed the problems. I wound up buying two brand new Lenovo laptops at a better price than elsewhere, including Costco. This is definitely the place to go. read more

My laptop had crashed and it appeared that the hard drive was severely damaged. Rosedale Computers was conveniently located and the reviews on line were strong. I called the shop and spoke to Kia. He was extremely helpful, as well as clear and concise as to the issue I was likely having and the chances that I could recover my data. He was transparent on cost, which I appreciated. I took my laptop in and met Kia a few days later. He was very pleasant, friendly and thoughtful in his explanations regarding my laptop's apparent issues and, once again, the likelihood of data recovery. In the end, he exceeded my expectations, recovering all of my data (awesome!) and, despite a lot of extra time and work, he stuck to his original price quote. I wouldn't recommend this place. Quoted a price to fix my laptop however when I came in the owner mentioned it may be more than originally expected. Also instead of getting me a new part he wanted to use some old one that he had in stock of another laptop...Couldn't guarantee that it would take less than 24 hour replacement although I don't see how he is that busy considering I didn't see a single client when I was in store. I decided against getting repair done at Rosedale as the service was inexistent. read more
