Always friendly, always well-stocked. There a massive black hole of unskeezy computer supply stores out here on the east end of the Danforth, so so I was overjoyed when I walked into ICS the first time, saw all kinds of product at reasonable prices and quickly recognized that these folks actually have game. I brought my computer setup couple weeks ago because there was a problem with it. They told me it was a Motherboard problem and that I had to replace it, however the processor (cpu) was working fine they said. We couldn't find spare parts because my setup was 3 years old, after a while they suggested that I should get a new motherboard and other expensive accessories (classic rip-off). I decided to do it on my own, went there and got my system back. Since they told me that my cpu was fine, I went ahead and bought a used motherboard, it gave a cpu error then I found out the problem was with my cpu. So I went ahead and bought another used cpu, and it worked just fine. Please don't trust this repairshop, they will try to rip you off by offering new parts which you don't actually need. I spent 400$ to make my system run again, I would've spent more than 600$ if I went with their plan. What good is a pc repairshop that can't even recognize a simple problem? I do not recommend this place if you have a complicated/serious problem with your hardware. If you have a simple issue then go ahead but I wont be working with them anymore! read more

this place has been my go to shop for computer purchases and issues for the last 7-8 years. eduardo and his dad oswaldo do a high volume based on low prices and reasonable service in our neighbourhood. the hp laptop they recommended and set up last time i purchased is 10x better than the 4 times as expensive toshibas i bought from business depot. i've also purchased computers for the kids and other hardware. in fact i am picking up a dedicated laptop for work only $280 set up later. some of the reviews with all the tech stuff complaining does nothing for me because all i know is as an online retailer who depends on his computer and service these guys come through. read more

I recently went through an extremely stressful tech breakdown when my two-year-old dropped my external drive and all 220,000 of my files were unreachable. After first consulting with another company who classified my recovery as extremely difficult and reported a recovery timeline of 3-4 weeks, I contact Eduardo at IGS. Good prices and variety of refurbs and parts. Cheap low-end stuff which for me was great, needed nothing fancy. Prices go up in small increments which indicates better components - so what you see is what you get. Only issue is with repairs - take much longer than they tell you and they gave me a bit of a run around with what was wrong and then added to the list days later - all in all, although, you can trust what you buy, what you see is what you get, and get a quote first if you use them for repairs. read more

I think this guys are VERY dishonest people BEWARE!!! I dropped my computer because it stopped working and was told that the motherboard was dead, but the hard drive was just fine. Eduardo suggested that I bring an external hard drive or another computer to transfer my data, so I bought a new computer (from best buy) and brought it in. I was however given back the old computer without its hard drive. When I asked to have my old hard drive back they tried to give a dead 250 GB instead of my 750 GB hard drive. The guy said "I run the numbers and checked, that's your hard drive", so I came back home got the box and the computer to prove that mine was a 750 GB hard drive. The guy got supper defensive and said that I showed up there once and never said that I had to get my had drive back (what?!), that I had to leave my computer with him for him to look for it, that he shreds about 300 drives for "Sunny Brook" regularly... and some other non sense that had nothing to do with me. It took days for the guy to get back to me and when he did, he said "I run the numbers and you were right I've made a mistake not all 25 digits matched the other hard drive" . He said that he had found my hard drive on Thursday, but I couldn't pick it up until the following Monday or Tuesday because they were "too busy!". When I said that if it turned out not to be my hard drive or my data was missing, I would have to make a police report because I had sensitive work related data was I was responsible for keeping. Eduardo said " well, one of the partitions was corrupted, so it would have being deleted when transferring the data"...ALL NON SENSE!!! My guess is that they tried to refurbished my hard drive into one of their in store built computers and wiped it with that end in mind, then tried to give me a crappy dead hard drive in its place. Either way, I filed a police report, so if any one has had a similar experience or have their computer parts missing you should call (416) 808-2222 (police file reference # 1119296) and let them know. You can also contact the Better Business Bureau at 519 5793080 or report their bad business practices to the Ministry of Government and consumer services at 1800 8899768...or better still, save yourself the grief and go elsewhere!!! read more

My laptop was overheating and I sent out for a few quotes and ICS/IGS was the most reasonable price I found. Eduardo was very responsive to my questions.
