Bought a brand new desktop gaming computer from MDG 6 months ago. Thermaltake system,Ryzen 3600x. Supposed to be a 1800 dollar top of the line desktop. I get it together and running,it's a bottom rung bare bones econo class peice of sh*t. The CPU is OK,at 3600x it's a decent little engine,however that ois where it stops because the Asus,motherboard is slow and a bottleneck,and to top it of they put in ddr3 ram and a Radeon Sapphire 570x vid card.THe card fan is already making noise and cannot run even RDR2 without grinding to a halt and crashing. It finally blew up yesterday,I tried several times to get MDG to warranty the card but,surprise surprise because crypto is basically hoarding all the vid these days cards are 1 grand and up for good ones and MDG laid it on me to buy a new card,not their fault they say,call the manufacturer,even though THEY selected the card for the package. Sorry MDG my last payment was 2 months ago,not one more nickle until you send me a card replacement or the whole shebanf comes back to you. read more

I needed a last minute diagnosis of an issue I was having with my laptop. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, I was finding it nearly impossible to find somewhere that could take a look at my computer quickly enough; I need my laptop for work, and working remotely now, being without one for several days is not an option! I dropped my desktop and subsequently damaged the hardrive. I brought it into MDG to see if i could diagnose the damage and was greeted by the manager there "Mark" who provided excellent service and alot of knowledge about computers, hardware and solutions. While he wasnt able to directly assist as the damage was too great, he did recommend somewhere for me to recover my data, provided a package to safely keep the harddrive in the meantime, and offered lots of insight on upgrading my computer. The moment I walked in I already know this is a great place to get my computer fix. I got a greeting once I walk in then immediately got help carrying my cpu on their desk by a guy named Mark. I told him what was wrong with it and he was already taking the cover off. Long story short he fixed my cpu in no time and also took his time and explain to me how to prevent the same problem. ya know what? this has to be the worst computer store sellignthe most woefully painfully worst computers ever. I am ashamed i own one of these heavily intergrated machines some times with solderied or glued on parts inside the machine and terrbily underpowered parts. truly the worst computer "brand" I have ever used owend or spent money on. Should be a system where they OWE stars casue 1 is the lowest here to use for rating, But I think they should OWE stars. EDIT: DO NOT THINK you can buy Off the shelf a 500 or 600 dollar computer. after askign MANY techs, you can BUILD one for that money But FIND yourself a REAL tech to do it not some kid good with parts. But a A+ tech, and he/she can build you the computer of your dreams WITHIN your budget. DO NOT USE your neighbours kid! The fan on my MacBook Pro had been broken for some time, and I decided to finally get it fixed. I came into the store after reading its Yelp reviews, and it lived up to its expectations to say the least. I dropped off my MacBook after work; it was almost evening by then. Mark, the manager, took care of me and assured me he could have it done by the next day. I was pleasantly surprised at how prompt it would be and left with the assurance that my laptop was in good hands. To my surprise, he was able to get it done before even that! No sooner than I had I pulled into my driveway at home, Mark contacted me to tell me that he was able to get the parts for my laptop faster than expected and that I could pick it up in 20 minutes. I hadn't even turned off the engine before backing out and headed over to the store. I arrived to find my laptop with the new fan. He even cleaned the inside of it, as well as my protective cover! This place goes above and beyond. Mark also shared some extremely useful (and unknown, even by computer enthusiasts) tips, which I was pleased about. MDG works hard to give your computer what it needs at a reasonable price. Very friendly as well. My son recommended them to me because they could address some pretty specific business needs he had as a film editor.
