My bf and I went today to get a couples massage. It was AMAZING! We both were so happy with how everything came out. When we got there we were kinda iffy because the place really doesn't look that nice and you can kinda see other people getting massages at times and it can get little loud BUT if you get a room like we did it's awesome. Will definitely be going back. Prices are also reasonable! read more

Let me tell you something...I fractured my knee and had to sleep on my back for what seemed like an eternity. I'd wake up crying from back pain. After my knee healed some, I was finally able to sleep on my side and alleviate the pressure, but the pain persisted. I went in off of a friend's recommendation. I was skeptical at first due to the aesthitics of the establishment but crossed my fingers. I got a male masseuse who wrecked me! I thought I might die because he went so hard ( he asked to go lighter but my pain made me say it was fine). However, I figured he felt something I could not so I went with it out of desperation. I left a lil bruised but feeling pain free. The slight bruising went away but the pain free part stuck! I can't wait to go back. This time I'll ask for medium deep tissue since it would be for maintenance not pain. Hopefully I'll get the same masseuse. read more

Rose Massage - Massage Near Me - Long Beach, California

The massage was great, but the facility is so run down, and the constant noise was distracting so I can't give it 5 stars. I called and asked if they had a couples massage room and was told yes, when we showed up it was a giant room with sections partitioned by curtains but not fully enclosed rooms. The couples room was super tight with barely enough room to walk around the beds. No biggie, that's more on the masseuse than us guests. Massage started and we were right next to a sink so we kept hearing the loud noise of dumping buckets of water, filling buckets of water and shaking open plastic bags to prepare for other patrons getting a foot massage. If they had a fully enclosed room this noise probably wouldn't be too bad. The massage bed was super hard and had a hole in the bed instead of a separate face attachment, so that was a bit uncomfortable. The quality of massage, hands, pressure, oil and stones was good but I probably won't return. read more

Excellent Deep Tissue massage ($60 for 60min). They really worked my back and shoulders which was very nice. I was in a private section and I removed most of my clothing. There is a sheet to cover you, plus a towel, which they do the first portion of the massage through. Then it's removed from your back for a deep massage with oil. At the end, you turn over so they can do the front side of your arms and legs. I had a male masseuse and my boyfriend had a female. I'm sure you can request, if you have a preference. Professional and clean. read more

I was skeptical about coming in cause I haven't been here before but I decided to give it a chance. I will not be returning. During the massage the two masseuses kept talking on and off during my massage. The massage was okay I'm in more pain now then before because of how uneven they massaged my back. When we went to pay and give them there tip she said no that the tip is $20 for 90 minutes??? Excuse me? Tips are not mandatory what so ever so why are you telling me I have to give you $20? That was so unprofessional nor did they deserve $20 tips for how loud the shop was you could hear the washing machine, people otp, and then them talking? Outrageous and cannot believe that. The sign she also pointed to said to consider those tip ranges not that they are required. Very upsetting. read more

Rose Massage - Massage Near Me - Long Beach, California

One of the best massages I've ever had. I've been here a couple times and each time has been good.

I did a walk in and I got the 60 min body massage and omg sooooo relaxing!!! This was my first time having a massage with hot stones. Loved it! You're fully unclothed during this massage so if you're uncomfortable with that, it might not be for you. I left feeling sooooooooo relaxed! Thank you Edit 7/5/20: I went for another 60 min body massage yesterday for the third time. My neck and back were so tight from work. I left feeling so amazing. My neck and back doesn't feel tight anymore. I went to 3 massage places before I found Rose Massage. The ladies here know what they're doing! read more

Stopped by last night for a massage here and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my massage. They were busy, I didn't make an appointment, but they worked it out. I did a 60 minute body and 30 min foot massage for $50. My masseur, Annie, did a great job of working on stress knots in my back and shoulders. I also really enjoyed her reflexology work. She was very good at stretching and they were immensely helpful. They use an unscented oil, maybe flaxseed, which I appreciate because some of the scents in the oils and creams can be so offensive. The oils used were also very nourishing. When I woke this morning my skin felt amazing! It's also worth mentioning that they use a medical grade cotton cloth on the table for your face when you are on your stomach. There have been times where a massage has been great but my face gets irritated by the towel they've wrapped around the hole. This was perfect. I never even knew it was there. The only reason I didn't award an additional star was the interior, so nothing serious... They don't sell books of massages, but pick up a **stamp card**to receive a reward after a number of visits! Very much looking forward to returning!! O M G: second time in- best massage of my life. Who cares about decor???!!! 5th star awarded! read more

Rose massage offers massages at various prices and times; I chose the $20 for 60 minutes. It included about 30 minutes of feet massage, and 30 minutes of head, neck, shoulders, arms, back, and legs. The massage chairs are close together in a big room, so if you are the type of person that needs privacy you might want to pay more for a private room. The massage itself was okay. I look forward to the feet section of the massage, but this lady focused most of the time on the center of my feet. Next time I'll voice specific areas where I want my feet massaged. They seem to have a set routine, so I didn't want to ruffle any feathers. For $20, what do you expect? Anyway I enjoy the heels and balls of my feet to be attended to, but there's wasn't much attention given to those areas. They ask you to take your shirt off, which I was fine with. This is in the main room with all the chairs close together, if you're uncomfortable with it just let them know. Overall it's an okay place and I'd come again versus waiting a long time at another place. They have a stamp card where you get $20 off after you get 10 massages. Don't forget to tip! read more

INCREDIBLE deep tissue massage by Coco. It was amazing and I didn't want it to end. Will be returning regularly.

I just got home, and thought I share another great experience. David is just so amazing... his hands are like magic, and you can tell by the way he flows in his massage that he truly cares about going deep and into those knots; to rolling it out. I always request for my pressure points and my deep tissue more on the hard side, due to my back being so tense and stiff. But for 120 minutes once again was $70. This time I tipped $40, because he did not disappoint. I walked out feeling less tense, more relax than ever. Yes. there was a little noise in the beginning with the ladies talking to bring in customers. But sheesh, once the massage got going, I was able to tune the noise out, and frankly enough... it got quiet. Also, I don't see what's the point in not tipping a $20 gratitude... especially with the prices so affordable for a massage. If you can't give gratitude, then don't get a massage at all. We all have to making a living here. It's like a slap in the face. Just save your money. read more

This wasn't really a good place to get a massage. They put us in a room with curtain walls and we could hear the washing machine during our massage. Didn't feel relaxing and Wouldn't come back. Not sure why people leave 5 star reviews? read more

My second time coming here. Unfortunately Susan wasn't available, but the lady I had was still good. I was the only one in the open area of the massage place for almost the full hour of my service (which was nice) Just a note for others, they will ask to have your shirt taken off for the back massage (to apply the oil) while other customers & staff are getting their massages too. Me personally, I don't mind, I just do it discreetly since I have a towel over me already. If you're not comfortable with this, I believe you can book your massage in a private room and pay extra. read more

I got the $20 1 hr foot massage that includes head, neck, arms, hands and back. Wow!! Towards the end I thought they may have misunderstood and gave me a full body massage. Nope. All part of the $20 cost! Now, don't expect it to be a spa treatment environment. There are outside noise disturbances but it so bad that you can't relax. My only suggestion is they offer you a towel and send you to a private area to put your shirt back on; especially if you're not wearing a bra! Lol Thank you Lucy!! read more

This inauspicious massage spot sits at the intersection of "value" and "pain relief." The massages are so affordably priced that I couldn't believe how thorough a 60-minute full body massage turned out to be -- oil, hot stone, and professional draping in a curtained room. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great massage for the price without paying the premium for a place with private rooms and the latest decor. read more

You definitely get your money's worth here. They have good deals and the therapists have super soft hands. I would give it a 5, but I feel it can be cleaner. There's also no sound proofing, so you don't get that private feel. If you do the foot massage, there are not partitions between you and the person to the left and right of you. You get what you pay for, but quality of massage is worth it. read more

I get massages every 10 to 14 days and have never been here so thought I'd give it a shot. One thing I can say off the bat is it is Definitely worth the price.. odd bits-- they had me disrobe in the common are which was a bit awkward but I was up for the dare lol. The water for foot soak was less than 2 inches and basically a puddle but the techs were good and super intentional with their techniques and rhythm/pace. I definitely prefer the single person tables. Will definitely go back:) read more

Very clean space, prices are good. I got the combo 30 min foot 30 min back massage for $45 and made sure to tip $15. My lady was good with pressure and they use hot stones on your back and use a scrub for your feet. I would def go back! read more

The massage was great I don't like the tip pressure. The masseuse didn't leave until she heard the tip amount which I found strange. What the massage was not bad read more

Love coming here when I'm feeling a little extra stress. Pro: Affordable 2/3 I've been the masseuse is great Peaceful music Con: -Back has to be fully exposed, my friend was a prob with this I'm not shy. -At checkout, the masseuse is standing by to see the tip. I've always felt this extra pressure to pay more but I give what I can and is deserved. -I woke up and saw a standby lady masseuse starring at me regain consciousness and redress lol read more

Honestly didn't have high expectations of such a small place like this and thought low prices meant low quality. I WAS WRONG...you get a private area which is divided by a curtain, good enough for me. They asked if I wanted male or female, I didn't care so I was paired with a man. Explained I was having lower back pain which he could have focused a bit more time on. Honestly it's a good thing I'm comfortable with myself and massages because the guy decided to massage my butt and his pants got a bit close during the session lol. Overall tho, my only complaint is that there is no cushion for your forehead when lying down for the massage...my body felt much better, but I left with a headache because my forehead literally hurt. And they use a paper towel as a type of shield around the hole in the table lol...either way, I'd definitely go back because its very affordable read more

I love this place because of co co she is the bestt ask for her ! Only thjng I don't like about the others is sometimes they use gloves who gives massage with gloves that's not right ! It's post to feel good not like rubber on skin ugh Co co is the best you must see her !! read more

FANTASTIC. I read the reviews and still wasn't sure what to expect. But everything was great. It's a couple small separate rooms for massages and like an open area for the foot rubs. I got a 60 min massage for 40 bucks. Wayyy cheaper than other places who also try up sell and crap. I told them what I wanted and he walked me straight to the back. Fast and easy no hassle. Now let's talk about those hot stone. OMG best part of the massage. I really wasn't expecting it, maybe I missed the reviews about it. But everything was great. Coming back for sure. read more

I came here based on the yelp reviews and thinking the 60 minute massage was $20. It's not. It's $40 for 60 minutes, which is still a good deal, but had I known that, I probably would have bought the $40 Groupon available for the nicer spa. Nonetheless, despite the exterior and small quarters, it is still a great value and I would be inclined to return for maybe the $20 reflexology treatment. PROS -Great value -The girl kept asking asking soft medium or hard, which was great since I don't like a super rough massage -Very relaxing and friendly staff -Warm stones and warm oil felt really nice CONS -Not a spectacular ambience -I felt she was focusing a lot on my rubbing my butt rather than my neck or feet so that was a little annoying. My butt doesn't hold all my tension--my neck does!! -I felt she didn't spend a lot of time on my neck at all, which one would think is a main area of focus. (I suppose I could have vocalized this, but I'm a little timid while getting a massage.) -Language barrier (I called to make an appointment at 2 and when I arrived they didn't check any book or understand I was showing up for my appointment. Instead they thought I wanted to book an appointment. No matter, it's not really a con because this is the type of place you don't really need an appointment partly because staff is always available and I didn't see any type of appointment book. ) As other yelpers said, there are not private rooms, but rather office cubicle and curtains used as barriers. You do strip down and I tried keeping my underwear on, but she was adamant that they come off. Also, despite what you might think about the way it looks, there was no christmas lights in the window, so rest assured, it's legit. read more

Got a couples massage with hot stone and aroma therapy. Couldn't tell you if we even had any aromatherapy. Wife asked for deep tissue but she said there wasn't enough pressure. I thought it was an ok massage for the price. 60 minutes for $100 for 2. I wish they asked us what problem areas we had or if we wanted more or less pressure. But like I said $100 for 2 people for an hour, not bad. read more

I'm not a person who write comments on a business except for terrible or very good experiences, this is one of them, I recommend this place if you really want a dip massage, I enjoyed every minute and is the first time I go there, next time I will like to have a foot massage, I believe it's going to be good too. read more

This place was great, I need some body lovin' along with my gal. Price is reasonable, and they take care of the knots without asking lol. I mean yeah there's a language barrier. My husband and I were visiting Long Beach for our friend's' wedding. We were very tired, and were looking for a place to get a massage. We made an appointment in the morning, and had one of the best massages later that afternoon! We had the 75 minute combo massage. We first had our foot massage in an open space, and were lead to a private space (separated with curtains) for oil and hot stone massage. It was relaxing, and the masseuses were great! It was like they knew where I needed the massage! My husband and I actually went to the Torrance area for a massage a few days ago since we heard there were lots of places over there. Honestly, it was way better than the massage in Torrance! If you're living or visiting Long Beach, this is a great place to get a massage! Would love to come back if we visit again! read more

If you're looking for a spa treatment, this is not your place. If you're looking for a nice massage at a super affordable price, then look no further. Sure there are people talking and filling buckets with water and walking around while you're trying to relax but you'll learn to drown it out once they start going to town on those knots in your back. Best massage I have had in a while. David is magic. Well priced, the hot stones are a nice touch. Worth it all around.

My favorite neighborhood stop for body work on the go. Thank God for Daniel ~ intuitive, consistent, strong and sensitive, he's my guy!

The massage was good but having open doors and conversations while you give a massage is unacceptable.

I been coming here at Rose Massage for years but now they have posted the tip guide what to go by as far as tipping, they've always been very professional and always satisfied with the massage I get but today I went along with a friend, got a 30 min massage great but when we tipped the staff they were laughing and looking at each other, then I realised what was going on and got there attention asking what was funny or what was the problem, I told them I had notice them laughing at our tipping amount, they could not even respond to me and all they could say that its ok,I message the one in charge of the appointments and let them know our bad experience, they told us they do have a post about the tipping guideline but that it is not necessary, made us feel so uncomfortable, and never again will ever go there again read more

I come here for the $20 foot massages once in a while when I'm too lazy to drive to my regular Thai spot. The last couple of times I came here, I decided to do the 90 min combo massage so I'd get more time spent on my back. First time was just okay, but the second was amazing! Emily was my masseuse the second time and I'll definitely be requesting her for future massages. Knocked off a star just because of inconsistency between masseuses. read more
