So, like many of us, I used Goggle and AI to figure it out ... and to provide a potential image of a 9 year old girl's Axolotl birthday cake. The cake image was very cute ... but with a lot of detail. When I sent it to a small number of the bakers who advertise that they will do intricate cakes ... only Fabulous Fare Bakery said that it was something they would/could tackle. And they did ... an absolutely fabulous looking creation. Not only did it look good, it tasted great. So Fablous Fare Bakery is the GO TO baker for very special cakes.

If you're a fan of creamed spinach, you may enjoy it more than I did. My husband tried the breakfast sausage kolache and said it was practically a full meal by itself. He also had the jalapeño cheese and sausage, which was delicious but noticeably spicier than expected that day. While he'd order the breakfast sausage again, he said next time he'd probably go with the Hot Chubby with Cheese because it had great flavor without quite as much heat. To finish things off, we split a cream cheese kolache for dessert. It was absolutely delicious and did a great job putting out the jalapeño fire! Overall, a great stop with plenty of tasty options. We'll definitely be back.

I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both the food quality and customer service. IT WAS LUNCH

Have come here a few times now and can confidently say it's my favorite kolache spot in the area!…read more The sausage bacon jalapeño cream cheese is a must on every visit, probably the best kolache I've ever had. Really makes me wonder why cream cheese isn't used in more savory kolaches. Outside of that one they have a wide selection that has consistently provided hits when I try something new. The bread quality is really good, and they don't skimp on the meats either. I will say their savory quality is a touch higher than the sweet, particularly on the bread, but the sweet are also quite good and have a crazy array of options. I think this spot is super overlooked and is well worth giving a try. I've never run into a line here so if you're tired of waiting at other close by places I'd highly recommend driving the extra block to give this spot a try

It's one of those things you just need to see for yourself! No frills about it. Just good, small & local! I got a the pecan cream cheese cinnamon rolls- 5/5 - just wanted to try it so we split it in 4. So good slightly heated up. Also got ham & cheese kolaches. The bread is best I've had. The ham is not cheap deli sliced ham - it's actual ham ground up. The meat to cheese ratio was a little off for my preference (stuffed full of meat, needed a little more cheese to help cut the salt) but I plan to go back and try more when passing through again. They had some boxes of day old product for discounted price. Go check them out!

For a town celebrated for its charm, I expected this bakery to embody the same warmth…read more As a first-time visitor and tourist, I naturally had questions about the bakery's history and the pastries they're known for. The woman who appeared to be the bakery manager, working around 8:15 a.m., answered every question with an attitude that felt forced, dismissive, and unwelcoming. When someone says, "This is my first time here," it's usually an opportunity to create a memorable experience--not make them feel like they're interrupting your morning. I won't be rating the bakery's famous pigs in a blanket because, to me, hospitality is part of the product. Outstanding customer service can elevate good food to a great experience. Without it, even the town's signature pastry loses some of its appeal.
