Trumans for a honeymoon basket, with that and champagne and perfect gift with cookies and dips to enjoy. Thanks Truman Chocolates!

My wife and I have never seen this place before but after eating first watch for breakfast, we noticed it in our way back to the car. We thought it would be some regular chocolate shop but were we presently surprised. Upon walking in we saw a lady making fresh chocolates within the mold. We were amazed with the beautiful display of chocolates. It felt more like an art gallery rather than a chocolate shop. Each chocolate could be there own art piece. That's how pretty the chocolates were. The owner was so nice and walked us through all of the chocolates. We were skeptical at first since the price seemed high for chocolate. After eating them the price was justified. This is some of the best quality chocolate I have had! This place is perfect for a special gift for someone, event, or valentine. Definitely recommended and I am glad we walked in! read more

Some of the best customer service I have ever received. My issue was politely handled extremely well.

I came in about a week ago and I was warmly welcomed upon entering. The reason I know this place is because one of my friends had given me a banana-filled chocolate from this place earlier in the month and it has plagued my mind since. It was, personally, in my opinion, really good as it reminded me of a creamy banana ice cream that I had in Vietnam, but wrapped in chocolate, really good chocolate. Anyways, I digress. And so I went to Truman's Chocolate and the person helping me out was very nice (and patient) and he helped me pick out some chocolates as it was my first time there. I got some helpful inputs from as to the flavors of the chocolates. He even added two extra chocolates (maybe because I still had no idea what I was looking for flavor-profile wise in the end) along with the ones I bought already, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a bit pricy, but for College Station, it's one of the more unique place and the chocolates are definitely worth a try (at least once). Regardless, the quality of service and chocolates made my day and I'll definitely be back when I have the time and money again! On a side note, one thing I forgot to mention is that I noticed they had some paintings made up of their leftover chocolate and although it's kind of a hassle when it's sunny, (all that potential melting) it was a unique sight. I just thought that was a kind of resourceful way to use leftover chocolate. read more

I bought a set of 12 for my friend's birthday and it was great. The presentation is amazing. When I went in the employees had masks on and kept the front lobby area very clean! The options of chocolates are online and inside the lobby area too. There were waiting seats for customers when they wait for the packing of their chocolate. The art on the wall is made from chocolate and that's pretty cool. When I entered, the staff were doing regular cleaning of the kitchen area which makes me feel safe when purchasing chocolates from them! The chocolates were beautiful and have different designs for different flavor so it's easy to differentiate. read more

Perfection! Beautiful and fabulous chocolates and wonderful staff!

Wow. Not only are these chocolates pretty to look at, they are delicious! One of my students bought me the petite two box one with smore's and red velvet chocolate ... both were awesome! They even sell online, although, they don't have all flavors available (red velvet) ... I really want to go get some, but Bryan, TX is so far! Hmm, maybe in the summer ...... :) read more

Just received a shipment of your beautiful and tasty chocolates as a surprise from Our Daughter Tanya. We were delighted with the taste and quality as we have traveled worldwide with the military and sampled our share of Godiva, Leonidas and Swiss chocolates. They pale in comparison to your "masterpieces". Your rare works of art are joys to our palette! Thanks. William D. McGowan, Major USAF (ret) Biloxi, Mississippi read more

What a little gem for our community! I have seen this place multiple times and finally went in. Wow! World Class artisan chocolates! I picked up a box for my lovely bride and she loved them so much we came back to get her parents a box for Valentines Day. Support local businesses like this folks! read more

Wow, in a tiny shop in a nondescript strip mall is a chocolate mecca. Tiny jewel like bites of pure scrumptiousness. Almost too beautiful to eat, but oh, when you do.......amazing, melt in your mouth perfectly tempered chocolate with fillings that actually taste of the advertised flavor. The mint was unlike anything I have ever had, other than chewing on a freshly picked piece from the garden. Despite it only being a bite, I gave half to my husband who fell instantly in love and we both pounced on the next couple of pieces. If you are anywhere near here stop in and buy anything. read more

Wow. Tasty and creative chocolate. Chocolate bombs are worth the experience. Chocolates are an art work but ate them anyways.

I LOVE this place. Truly some of the best chocolates I've ever had and the best chocolate in College Station-Bryan.

Truman's premium handmade chocolates are beautiful and delicious! Buy online or, for a lower price, in the store or at Village Foods in Bryan. Boxes of 8 or 16 pieces; roughly 32 flavors to choose from (not all of them are listed on the website). I bought a 16-piece assortment for Mother's Day, and Mitch (the owner) let me sample a few pieces for free. They're a little expensive, but well worth it for a classy gift! read more

Very pricey, but it's worth it. These are the best candies/chocolates I have ever eaten! I had never heard of this place before I received a small box as a gift. I almost didn't want to eat them when I opened it and saw how pretty the candies were. I figured they looked better than they tasted, but oh how I was wrong! I tried so hard to make the 4 candies last but they were so good they were gone within 20 minutes. I've wanted to get over to the store for a while, but their hours are a bit inconvenient (Mon - Fri 9:00 to 6:00 and Saturday 10:00 - 3:00) I finally made some time yesterday to place an order for a Christmas gift for my mom and I of course couldn't resist getting a 4-piece sampler for myself while I was there. I can't wait to see her face when she tries them, they will blow her current favorite chocolates (Godiva) out of the water! read more

Delicious and beautiful handmade chocolates. Make wonderful gifts or self-rewards. I recommend the champagne chocolate, although everyone I have tried I have been most pleased with. read more

It is great having a chocolatier in town. The chocolates are not quite to-die-for, but they taste great, are extremely pretty, and the service is excellent. Go in and see the employees hard at work making chocolates. The owner is friendly and seemed happy to answer any questions we had. Make sure to ask whether the chocolates you are interested in are just chocolate or have a filling, and whether they're white/milk/dark chocolate. Also, if you are just getting them for yourself ask for them in a baggie to save a couple bucks on packaging. read more

Oh my.... this is the best chocolate. Friendly service and creative recommendations. He picked the best flavors for meq1

What a beautiful, tasty gift. The chocolates look like little gems. They are very pretty to look at, but very good as well. It's hard to eat them because they look so pretty. I think on their website you should be able to choose which flavor you would like in your box because I would buy the coffee, espresso and the dark chocolate like it's going out of style. read more

Tl;dr - Over priced and tasteless. I got a 4-pack of my favorite truffle, the chocolate and cherry mousse combo. It cost 11$. Which I was willing to pay because I enjoy the flavour so much. The only reason I was trying to find a choclatier to supply this product is because they are so hard to find. I can usually only find them in the midst of a combo pack at a ratio of like 1:25. E.g. a Hershey Pot of Gold. The second I bit into one I knew something was wrong. It was almost liquid. No creamy texture to speak of whatsoever. Secondly, it was as bland as could be. I could barely detect any hint of cherry no matter how hard I strained my taste buds. The only flavour that made itself known was the dark chocolate. Ive heard chocolate conosiours say how milk chocolate is an inferior type, but I couldn't disagree more. Not only did it not sit well with me because I personally don't like dark chocolate, it was quite simply not an impressive rendition of dark chocolate in the first place. It didn't make me say "hey, this is darn decent!". I don't blame the people making these... things... but rather whoever made the recipe. All around horrible. I'd rate it a 0 if I could. I realize I haven't tried their whole gambit of flavours, but come on, cherry truffles should be a staple. For the price I was paying I sure wasn't paying for the chocolate either! The chocolate shell surrounding the mousse was extraordinarily thin. You're better off getting a Hershey or Russels chocolate box :/ Or buying 10 of your favourite candy bars. Maybe order something online. read more

Chocolates may be good but the service for Valentine's Day was unreliable and lacking compassion. I placed an order on Friday, to be picked up on Monday (Valentine's Day). I showed up Monday morning and, not only wasn't my order ready, they informed me that the flavors I had ordered would not be ready until after 2 PM. The workers were way too busy to care that their customer service was bad. All they could say was "come back after 2 pm." (But, that's after my lunch date with my valentine!) I won't use them again. read more
