Lovely little place for wonderful Mediterranean food. Quite a mix of Greek, Persian, Italian and all kinds of Mediterranean. We got the sampler appetizer and Spanakopita for starters. Both were yummy especially the Kashkobademjan in the sampler plate. Our entrees were Fessenjoon, Guormeh Sabzi and a Gyro platter. I have had better Fessenjoon at Persian restaurants around Atlanta. Seems like it was missing walnuts or lime or some key ingredient. It was also too sweet... no sour component. Guormeh Sabzi was fabulous but friend said it was a bit salty. Other friend said the gyro was good. We splurged on desserts too. Chocolate Truffle was the winner. Almost like fudge. Creme Brulee... my friend liked it but i thought it was too eggy. Tiramasu was tasty but to me, a good one must taste like it has coffee flavor in it and this had no coffee that I could discern. The waitress was attentive and quite lovely. Overall great service. We did an online pickup order for dinner from Rose & Olives a few weeks ago. The food was good, but nothing incredible. We ordered three different entrees and everyone was mostly satisfied with what they received. At the pickup I was handed the food and no thank you or greeting at all by the manager. My issue with this restaurant is the SPAM that you get on your phone and email for weeks afterward. I understand marketing and trying to bring in repeat customers from text and email reminders. But if I make one order (first time ordering from here too) I DON'T WANT 20 DIFFERENT TEXTS AND EMAILS SPAMMING ME OVER THE NEXT MONTH. I have unsubscribed and opted out of both and am still receiving messages. read more

I stopped by rose & olives last night with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience was okay. The food was not great, and the quality was nothing to rave about. They meal came with a salad but the dressing was super watery, the plate was filled with lettuce one tomato and one cucumber For our entree we ordered the beef kabobs, which were supposed to be spicy and they charge extra for "spicy" but they were surprisingly bland and lacked any real kick, and the vegetables were Sauteed frozen vegetables you'd find at the grocery store. The chicken parmesan was also a letdown. It was overcooked and lacked any real flavor. The breading was dry and crumbly, and the sauce tasted more like ketchup than a rich, tangy tomato sauce. The service was friendly,, but it didn't make up for the subpar food. Definitely not worth the price. Wouldn't recommend it read more

So today was the first time I tried this place and it will not be the last. It is located at the same shopping strip as Pearl Lian right next to the Verra-Zano Pizza place. The restaurant isn't too big but the booths are nice and roomy. They have a full bar and seats at the bar area. I ordered the Soltani. It consisted of the beef Barg and a beef kebab that was made out of ground beef. You can opt for a ground chicken one instead. It came with rice and your choice of vegetable or charred tomatoes, salad or soup. Substitute veges or tomatoes for extra rice, for an extra cost. I had a cup of the Avgolemono soup and the sauteed veges. My coworkers and I shared the Dolmados (dolmades) and a plate of feta cheese, olives, pita, tomatoes and cucumbers. The pita was warm and really yummy. For dessert I had their Tiramisu. One person had their Baklava and two, their Persian Ice Cream. Everyone agreed their desserts were tasty. Their desserts are made in house and you can tell. One of the ladies that I was with is Iranian and she really enjoyed the Baklava a lot. She said it didn't taste like it was store bought. I have to say that everything I had was delicious! The soup was savory and a little sour from the lemon. The Barg and the kebab were so yummy. Very tender and juicy, well seasoned and definitely didn't lack flavor. The sauteed vegetables were fresh veges, not the frozen mushy kind. It consisted of carrots, zucchini and broccoli. Perfectly cooked veges. I can't complain about anything I had. Even the water tasted good. I know that sounds weird, but it tasted very clean and refreshing. They also have coffees and teas in addition to their desserts. The food wasn't cheap but everything was yummy. They were very busy for a weeknight. I hope that they succeed. Like everywhere else they are shorthanded, so please be patient. We got there early enough that we didn't have to wait for anything. If you're in the area give it a try. I didn't have a single piece of food left on my plate. Partly due to my appetite, partly because it was delish! read more

The only thing that I could imagine is that because this was an hour before close, the person must have felt that the quality of the product didn't really matter. However, YOU prompted me to write this review...... Unfortunately, my daughter and I were unable to eat our falafel. It was overdone, unrecognizable, and burnt. Persian food is becoming more and more popular in Atlanta. This place just opened up in the area and prices are slightly better than their surrounding competitors. Convenient location given that it's next to a lot of other restaurants/shopping areas. I got the soltani kabob with a side of lentil soup. The soup tastes similar to the soup in Iran, so you know it's authentic. The koobideh was good but the barg was better because of how juicy it came out. Roasting tomatoes to the right consistency and the right amount of char is hard. They did a good job at this place. Great hospitality and service at this place.
