The food was so fresh and delicious. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Our server Hannah was the best. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend the food and service!

Spicy chicken kebab

I made a return trip to this restaurant tonight for dinner. So glad I did. I got the chicken kebab (spicy) with basmati rice and sautéed vegetables. It was so delicious and so healthy. I exclaimed to the owner, "I think you added one more year to my life!" Of course I had to balance that by taking some baklava home for dessert. If you have a chance, definitely come and enjoy a meal.

After looking through Yelp for some dinner suggestions, I finally landed on this restaurant where the reviews drew me in to try it out. I came here with my family, and we decided to go with the bang bang shrimp to start off. The shrimp came out pretty quickly after ordering and was reasonably priced at $12. The shrimp was very crispy and the sauce connected it really well. I loved that it came with lettuce at the bottom which was a nice balance. For our mains we went with the Mediterranean chicken burrito combo, supreme chicken combo, supreme chicken platter and the chicken kabob. The buritto was very light and was stuffed with chicken, rice and some veggies. I liked how light it was and the amount of chicken that came with it. The supreme chicken combo came in a pita bread and was seasoned super well. I liked it more than the buritto. Both of these came with fries on the side which were good but wish they were seasoned. The supreme chicken platter came with tzakiki sauce, 4 pieces of pita and a salad. The mushrooms and chicken were seasoned well and quite juicy. I liked the house chips that came on the side as well. I liked how they were crispy and the potato being mushy inside. The star of the show was definitely the chicken kabob which was absolutely delicious and juicy and seasoned so well. We got the toasted veggies in the side which were also very tasty. The saffron rice was very fragrant and quite delicious and paired well. The restaurant does have limited seating, but luckily there were empty tables for us during a Sunday lunch. They do offer takeout and do take reservations as well. There is plenty of parking outside as well.

Very good quality food & service. My only complaint is that they charge $4.50 for a regular cup of black tea.

Kabuli pillow (possibly wrong spelling) was the highlight, and best in town. In fact, it was so well prepared that we came back specifically from it. They claim to be the first and best afghani restaurant in town - and honestly this checks out. They have great starters/sharables too, best for me is always the betinjan (eggplant). I like the Mantu as well, but tbh, had much better mantu elsewhere. The highlight is the pillow. Just go there! Ambiance wise - very family friendly. Simple and quite interior, nothing fancy, great for families or parties who don't want much noise and just want to eat and enjoy a conversation. Great service as always.

The prices seemed fairly reasonable. Customer service was friendly and attentive. I opted to order the chicken kebab plate, and it was quite tasty. The portions were a bit smaller than expected, and the rice was slightly bland on flavor, but I enjoyed the chicken kebab and the garlic yogurt sauce. The cucumber salad was refreshing, and was a nice addition. The green chutney sauce was alright, but a little watery in texture. We had to eat quickly due to scheduling constraints, but they were quick with providing takeout boxes, and sauce cups to take home with our leftovers. Overall, a solid place to get some great Afghan food.

Great selection of Middle Eastern goods; was happy to see دبس فليفلة which I haven't seen since I was in Syria and where it is made by the barrel in homes to last the year. The deli also manages good shawarma and the hummus is so delicious! I wish they were more generous with the side of it in the plate (was less than half full). The salad was tasteless; no salt/spices, nor dressing. A previous visit I purchased two cakes: one carrot and the other chocolate. The carrot cake didn't have any carrots in it (looked, but didn't taste like traditional carrot cake), and the chocolate cake wasn't good at all (bitter) except for the frosting. The 'espresso' based coffee was lukewarm and tasteless. The person put condensed milk in it which made it worse but he did remake it without charge. He kept calling me, mama, which was unsettling to me. I have a son less than half his age. I gave only 3 stars because of the overall ambiance and the discourtesy and unfriendliness of the staff. I didn't realize it, but nothing can be returned after two weeks; the manager, however, kindly did return three items.

This fast casual cafe is underrated for the quality of food served. Think Mediterranean Chipotle…read more.. What makes them special? 1. Fresh made pita bread, made in house in a huge oven on premises. And, you can watch the entire cooking process. Not only is the bread made fresh, but it is CHEAP. 2. Fresh made falafel to order. The falafel and fries are made as soon as you order, so let them know up front. 3. Dips are delicious. Regular and spicy hummus, and babaganoush are all insanely delicious and under $5 for a tub. Pairs perfectly with their bread. My only complaints is that meals are served in a flimsy bowl that sucks all of the moisture out of the hummus. I'm also not a fan of their reheated meats and slop-bowl serving style that America loves these days. Too bad, because the meat quality and flavor is good, but once it's reheated so many times, the beef, chicken, lamb, loses it's appeal. The ordering counter is crammed into the corner of the restaurant and is very stressful to maneuver if there is more than one customer. They seem to do mostly takeaway business, even though the dining room is spacious.

It wasn't packed but there were a couple of big tables already seated when we walked in. We never got the mangu and I had to find ways to distract myself since the food took a while to come. However, the servers were kind and apologized many times for the slowness. They even comped the extra rice for us. The ambiance was family friendly but I could see the place being a spot for adults to hang in the evening because there was open space. I think it would be a perfect venue for a small event. Definitely worth a try.
