Falafel Wrap
Karo R.

Yes, Yes, Yes! I recently decided to become a vegetarian, so I have been seeking out vegetarian foods and restaurants in the area and this place did not disappoint. The falafel wraps were a major hit, light and fluffy in the inside and crunchy on the outside. I have had several in the area and this one is definitely in my top five, the french fries were good. Customer service was great. The place was very clean, and the prices were right. I am in likes!

Perfect for order out definitely not a dining spot. The ladies behind the register are very nice and sweet. All the food here seems very authentic and made with love. I had the falafel wrap, which was the best I've ever had. I definitely recommend this location. The atmosphere is the typical carryout spot nothing fancy about it, but at least it is clean. I look forward to coming back again trying new things love the food here.

Quick and delicious! Went to kabob-ish for lunch and let me just say their lunch portions are huge and delicious! You order at the front and they grill up the type of meat and serve it to you fresh. They newly renovated their seating area. Also don't forget to order the green dip/sauce with your food. Ordered the spicy chicken koobideh.

A5 Chicken Shawarma

Food was very delicious chicken was tender and super flavorful ,service at the counter was good no complaints Had the chicken shawarma plate came with green sauce and red sauce on the side Green sauce paired well with the chicken and rice The plate wasn't huge but wasn't small either For price I think the portion could have possibly included more chicken instead of all the salad & rice given that could have been a little less however food was still yummy It doesn't hurt to stop and try it if you never had their food

This used to be my favorite restaurant back in 2017 but I'm truly disappointed because of how they changed overtime. After a few months of starting their business, they were serving beef Koobideh that weren't fresh because you could get that sour ish musty smell. I have complained to the manager twice and they just said "sorry, next time we will take care of you." But that next time never came because they forget what they tell you. Also, I don't expect discounts on my food, I just expect good food. Then, they reduced their rice portion from entrees significantly but increased the price instead. After a few months, they stopped serving the salad they used to, which was my absolute favorite because of the vinaigrette dressing they used. Instead, they started serving a precut dry salad with no dressing that never tasted fresh. I still didn't write a negative review because I thought they were going through a transition and will go back to how they were at the beginning of 2017. Then there were multiple times when my wings were undercooked or burnt, they even charged me for 2 wings one time but didn't pack 2 orders, instead packed 1 and denied that they made a mistake. Finally, I just got my iftar from here 3 days ago when I realized they don't give you two skewers of chicken Koobideh anymore, instead it's just 1 skewer but 3-4 inches longer, not thicker though as you can compare from the pictures. When I asked the cashier, she said they add more meat to 1 skewer and it's really thick and long enough to make it the same portion as 2 skewers. I posted the picture here and you can decide if I've been lied to or not. I ordered the shawarma as well and they gave me a lighter portion but charged me for the regular portion. The meat for the shawarma was so dry that it was hard to swallow. The wings were great which is why I added the second star here but nothing else was up to the mark. I believe this is not professional at all that they charge you more money than before and give you such poor quality of food and service. I truly request the management to change their service and food quality or else my friends and family cannot order every weekend to support this local business. I have added a picture of my food from 3 days ago and a picture from 2017 to show the difference.

We went here per recommendation of my friend who lives in Duluth. My husband and I enjoyed our lamb meal. We ordered the lamb kabob and lamb chops and the lamb gyro. They forgot to give us the lamb gyro until almost time for us to leave the restaurant. The meat was so tender and really good! My only complain was the wait time and service, very slow!

Got in the mood to try some Korean cuisine. Stumbled across Kabob-ish and had me some lamb kakbob. For $13.99 you get about 6 chunks of lamb (minus the kakbob skewer) a side salad and choice of various rices. I chose the vegetable rice. Ordered the lamb medium. It was well cooked and a tad on the spicy side which to me is perfectly fine. Heads up I guess if you get it ordered "hot". The salad was fresh with a variety of vegetables mixed in. You have choices of sauces for your meal, but nothing necessarily for the salad except the "green." The rice was pretty full with a nice flavor. The lamb, cooked well, had quite a bit of fat on it. Overall, a positive experience.

Kabob-ish is a cheery, modern counter-serve joint offering grilled meats with Greek, Indian, Mediterranean and Jamaican flavors. They provide a Halal friendly menu that includes gluten free dishes which are egg and nut free. I have been here a few times now and I really love it. The flavor of the food is consistently delicious. Whether you are in the mood for Fish, Chicken, Beef or Lamb they satisfy your craving with delicious foods skillfully prepared in a clay oven, the Tandoor or over the open-fire grill. Couple of my personal favorite dishes from here are Chicken Tikka Kabobs made of boneless chicken pieces marinated with yogurt, garlic, ginger and spices/seasonings, served with Vegetable Pulao Rice. And the other favorite thing is the Lamb Kabobs made of boneless Lamb pieces cooked in Tandoor with spices/seasonings, served with Saffron Rice. The food is so good, it is so tender and juicy meats. I think the prices might be a TAD higher than entrees from some other places, but you get a lot of food for your money. The service is also pretty quick. The manager noticed that my coworker and I had been there before and came over to check on our food. He honestly cared about our answer and even after we told him we were totally satisfied, he let us know that if we didn't like something we ordered, he would switch it out. He also gave us some free sampling curries they do for to-go orders. They do have some yummy sauces over the table to well mix into your meal. I liked the one which goes with rice, which is called as Green Sauce, a mint based with yogurt and spices. The other one was a pretty hot sauce, tasted just like mostly Sriracha I guess. The restaurant is very nice and bathrooms are good enough. I like the view into the kitchen, that is not something you get to see at every restaurant. They have free refills with that high tech Coke machine where you can choose between a multiple flavors of your choice. They also have outside seating with covered top area with nice decor. It would be nice in hot and warm weathers. As this place is located in a shopping strip, the parking is ample and free in front and around the restaurant. The overall experience is great, would highly recommend and will visit again.

Koobideh wrap

I stopped by to grab something quick to eat around midday and was not disappointed. I ordered a koobideh kabab wrap and I must say it was quite delicious! It was seasoned well, had a bit of a spicy kick to it but not overwhelmingly so. There was a good amount of sauce in it. The meat was juicy and they definitely do not skimp out on that! My wrap was so full that it eventually ended up falling apart. It was a messy but very tasty meal. There is plenty of seating area, is well lit and decorated, and it seemed pretty clean. My food did take a while to prepare but my server apologized for that as he was handing me my meal and also mentioned "that's how you know it's fresh". I appreciated the acknowledgment and the positive spin on it. I would come back here for sure!

Kabob-ish was delicious! The service was amazing! The nice guy at the register was very quick and attentive and did not seem annoyed when we asked some questions about the food. The place is nice and clean, and it's pretty easy to find, it is near Gwinnett Place Mall. The portions were huge for the price and the food tasted fresh and tasty. I ordered the Chicken Tikka, I thought it would be spicy but it's more so just flavorful. I was very pleased with my order! However they do give you a decent amount of veggies with I didn't mind, but I wish we had more chicken. I definitely recommend this spot

Manuel M.

Great place, for a fast food Mediterranean place, was suggested by one of my employees, I would definitely go back at some point, staff was friendly and attentive, food took a bit since there was a line of Uber eats drivers waiting for pickups.

The food handling was not good because someone touched their food with the same glove they used to cash out.

Good food. I wish they would serve a baba ganoush and a Greek salads instead of iceberg salads. Otherwise, it's a good place to grab a meal.

Ask the Community - KABOB-iSH

Is there any veg kabobs on the menu?

I don't think so. When I asked about veggie or vegan options they literally directed me to the hummus and pita bread. Lol

When ever we go they are always out of something and one time we went they were closed?

It's okay to call ahead which I know can be a hassle sometimes. Definitely bring it up to their management. Everytime I've gone during their open hours they were open from personal experience.

Kabuli pillow (possibly wrong spelling) was the highlight, and best in town. In fact, it was so well prepared that we came back specifically from it. They claim to be the first and best afghani restaurant in town - and honestly this checks out. They have great starters/sharables too, best for me is always the betinjan (eggplant). I like the Mantu as well, but tbh, had much better mantu elsewhere. The highlight is the pillow. Just go there! Ambiance wise - very family friendly. Simple and quite interior, nothing fancy, great for families or parties who don't want much noise and just want to eat and enjoy a conversation. Great service as always.

The prices seemed fairly reasonable. Customer service was friendly and attentive. I opted to order the chicken kebab plate, and it was quite tasty. The cucumber salad was refreshing, and was a nice addition. The green chutney sauce was alright, but a little watery in texture. We had to eat quickly due to scheduling constraints, but they were quick with providing takeout boxes, and sauce cups to take home with our leftovers. Overall, a solid place to get some great Afghan food.

Pairs perfectly with their bread. My only complaints is that meals are served in a flimsy bowl that sucks all of the moisture out of the hummus. I'm also not a fan of their reheated meats and slop-bowl serving style that America loves these days. Too bad, because the meat quality and flavor is good, but once it's reheated so many times, the beef, chicken, lamb, loses it's appeal. The ordering counter is crammed into the corner of the restaurant and is very stressful to maneuver if there is more than one customer. They seem to do mostly takeaway business, even though the dining room is spacious.

I got there at 1 PM with my Aunt and there was nobody there. I went to the other side of the restaurant lingering and wondering if we should just go find our seat or stand there. There was another couple that was seated already. A server finally came out to deliver foods, don't even acknowledge us, and after putting her foods down, walked away. I had to stop her and asked if we seat ourselves. No hello, welcome, or anything. She didn't smile and only gestured something and walked away. We were confused and walked back to the other side where a man was at the register finally. We asked him the same thing and he went to go get the server lady. She finally took us to our booth. Again, didn't ask us if it's our first time, if we had any questions, nothing. The didn't let the lack of enthusiasm deter my mood because I am there to try out the foods. It took forever for the server to come back to get our order. Foods did arrived in a reasonable amount of time, big proportions, and everything tasted as good as it looks. Took us 2 hours from beginning to end dining there even though there were only 3 couples eating there, including us, during lunch on a Wednesday. That's how slow service was. I can't even imagine how it'll be during a big crowd on weekend nights. The prices were on the same level as Delbar and Rumi's. However, the other restaurants has top notch service. The service here acts as if we're doing them a favor by paying them for the foods. I will probably not come here again even though it's close to my area. If it still stands by next year, I will probably give them another chance.
