It has a cool ambiance and is in a hip downtown type neighborhood and the staff is friendly. So, I was born and raised in Chicago and just happened to be visiting Oxford and come across this restaurant. I was thoroughly impressed with the pizza many don't know about Chicago thin crust pizza. The pizza was pretty tasty and I would give it my authentic Chicago style stamp of approval. I took off one star because I also ordered an Italian beef with American cheese, peppers, and dipped "Chicago way" and I received a beef with mozzarella cheese that hadn't been dipped and had been warmed in the oven. This is in no way customary of an authentic Italian beef sandwich from Chicago. I would highly recommend the pizza though. read more

While visiting Oxford, Mississippi to see our daughter who attends OleMiss, we decided to have dinner at Rosati's Pizza just off the historic Oxford, MS square. This was our second visit and we simply love it. The decor is nostalgic with gas lamps burning, exposed brick, indoor and out seating, a self serve wine and beer pour wall, and a simple order station where the menu offers Chicago style deep dish pizza, thin crust pizza, pastas, salads and great appetizers. The fried mushrooms are incredible, worth ordering alone if you just want a good appetizer and drink. But the focus on the menu is definitely the delicious, fresh and filling Chicago deep dish pizza. I put this pizza up with Giordano's or UNOs easily. They offer free soft drink refills and the mostly college student staff are all extremely friendly with Southern hospitality and manners. Be sure if dining in to request actual silverware and plates, and plan on to-go boxes because there's just so much good food, you cannot finish it all and definitely don't want to waste it. Our daughter loved the personal size, thin crust, cheese pizza. We all enjoyed the pippin hot, fried mushrooms with marinara sauce. A compliment of soft drinks with free refills finished our great dinner. Afterwards enjoy a post dinner stroll around the epic Lafayette County old courthouse and historic Oxford Square. There's a statue of William Faulkner the OleMiss famous author and Civil War memorial. It's magical during the holidays and just fun year round. We drove from Priceville, Al to try the pizza at Rosati's. We were not disappointed. I loved the pizza. All fresh toppings and a little bit of every topping in every bite! I enjoyed the beer wall experience. I had never heard of this concept before and it was the coolest! You pick the brew and serve your self. We were lucky enough to be there while the owner was in. Pizza was delicious, but extremely overpriced. The menu showed a 16" meat specialty pizza for about $32 and a veggie pizza for about $30. The manager mentioned we could do half and half. We were expecting to pay about $31. Nowhere was it said that if you get half and half that you are charged by the topping. We were too hungry to turn back. We paid over $50 for a 16" pizza! Had both Gluten free and the thin crust. Let me say the Gluten free crust is the best in the country. It is a in house product. I asked. You usually get a crappy commerical GF thats just ok. This GF was great. My family had all meats on the regular thin crust and the sausage on it is a Rosatis in house sausage not some cheap run of the mill thing. My hard to please eaters we quite for once as they stuffed their faces. Prices were great and the beer wall even had a GF pineapple Cider. Im ordering from here again. read more

I'm from Chicago so familiar with Rosati`s Pizza and waited anxiously for them to open. Been there at least a dozen times and never disappointed! For the record "Chicago pizza" is NOT deep dish! If you want deep dish then order deep dish. The slices at lunch are huge and at 2/$5.00 the best bargain anywhere! The have cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and a daily special variety to choose from and you can mix and match your two slices. Italian Beef sandwich with au jus and add sweet peppers for free. I hear the pastas are to die for and I intend to try them but I keep ordering (thin crust) pizza. My favorite is the White Pizza with spinach and fresh tomatoes. If the service has ever been lacking it's because they are short handed and haven't been able to hire enough help even though they are trying desperately. read more

The pizza is good and the chopped salad is probably my favorite in town. However, this restaurant has no idea what it's doing. The last few times we have picked up, we've had to wait 20-30 minutes longer (a "few more minutes" at a time) than we were originally told because a pizza had to be remade. The paper menus are outdated and only the menu board in store reflects the current extremely high prices. An 18" specialty thin crust pizza is $30+. Rosati's sends out tons of coupons via email and you can sign up for a rewards program, which would be great to utilize when you're spending almost $100 for two pizzas and two salads. The coupons/rewards never work. I emailed corporate and they advised that the franchise is in charge of that. I asked in person at the store and the cashier said they were trained that corporate is in charge of that. All the employees are nice but it seems that ownership never bothered to equip these people with what they need to succeed. It's a shame, because while the food is good, I just can't pay exorbitant prices to be inconvenienced. read more
