Since pizza is my thing, I decided to visit a new spot around Oldsmar. Giving "Chicago pizza style" a try. First off, their customer service was horrible. The female in the register was very unprofesional. She looked like she didn't know what she was doing while taking out order. Our order was canceled twice because it was taken wrong. I asked if there were two (2) liter Coca-Cola she responded "yes". I quickly mentioned since we are eating here and there is four (4) of us is it cold? Her answer was: "Duh, Obviously it's in the fridge back there." I stood shocked and said "ok". Let's be honest... This is food restaurant, you are giving a service, you are not talking with friends or family to respond in that matter. We proceeded to wait outside since the area isn't big. Time went by and our order was done, she knew we were outside and failed to mention that our order was ready. We decided to eat outside since there were two round tables but the truth is... there is no space whatsoever to eat there. They should strictly advertise it's a pick up and delivery service. As far as how the pizza was cooked and it's taste it was good. The taste alone gets a five (5) in my book! But the customer service, failed!!! read more

I'm from Chicago so I love tavern style pizza. Rosati's is of course a Chicago restaurant and makes me so happy that we have one in Orlando. My husband and I order extra thin crust with sausage, onion, and mushroom. We also love to order extra thin with Italian beef, and onions. The chicken alfredo and Italian beef sandwich is also really good. If your looking for really good Chicago style food this is a great place to try. read more

I'm not a pizza snob, I couldn't tell you the difference between New York style and Chicago style, but I can tell you this is some good pizza. We've had the deep dish, thin crust, and double dough. I'd recommend only getting the double dough if you don't plan on left overs- the toppings kind of slid everywhere when we reheated it. The flavor and ingredients are delicious. They don't have some of the less traditional toppings (no Alfredo or bbq sauce options) but their olive oil pizzas are wonderful. Also, their giardinera is very authentic! Their breadsticks are tiny (the size of an index finger) but they give you a ton in the box and they are also great (as is the cheese bread). They are quite pricey, but if you sign up for an online account with them, they do have some pretty good coupons on occasion. I ordered ann18" pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onion, green pepper, black olives and even anchovies- a standard "All the way". With it, I ordered two 2 liter bottles of coke. On the web site, it says an 18" yields "26 slices". I was told the total, and accepted the fact this was going to be $75 including tip. A $75 pizza, if you can imagine. But hey, it's supposed to be really good. They also had a coupon for 12 wings (plain) with the order of an 18". Ordering toppings on a pizza- even a cheap one, comes with the reasonable expectation that the odds of getting all the toppings on each piece has good odds. A $75 pizza damn sure better have. Nope. The thin crust I ordered was tender and crisp, with the sad touch of carbon flavor. Ovens are usually a stable appliance, and by that, easily controlled. Theirs is a little hot if it's burning the crust. Ever buy a loaf of bread that's burned, me neither and they are baked in ovens too. The standard sauce had a nice, rich flavor, and there was ample cheese, The pepperoni was better quality than I expected and ample, and the Italian sausage quality that truly separates garbage pizza from electric was in surprisingly large crumbles but it's a little too mild- an unfortunate circumstance of trying to please the masses. But if you go to the trouble of offering a really meaty sausage, amp it up right. Where the pizza failed is with the veggies. It was so lacking of onion, green pepper and olives, I checked the receipt and actually dissected the largely uneaten portion under bright light. Virtually no veggies on the thing, and under no circumstances on every piece. Or every third piece. Or fourth. The anchovies seemed to make their appearance by flavor in the middle of the pie, all camouflaged by cheese. But the again I tore the pie up looking, and these items were VERY few and far between. Anchovies aren't cheap, but onion and green pepper are, and ALL are VERY WELL PAID FOR ON A $75 pie. I paid my dues with this one, and although the meat and cheese display was very good, it truly added up to a grand ripoff. $75 is $75. C'mon. read more

We have bought 2 pizzas from Rosati's. The first was a thin crust "Monster". It was delicious. Great toppings and flavorful crust. Ordered online which allowed me to customize the pizza the way we wanted. It was ready at the time promised. Second visit we decided to try a pan pizza. I've only had a few pan pizzas over the years so far from an expert. My wife, however, is from the Midwest and knows what a good Chicago Style pizza is supposed to be and this wasn't it. I can highly recommend the thin crust pies but not the pan. read more

Ive been a long time fan of this place since opening. Good thick crust Chicago style pizza, really good thin crust pizza, and outstanding beef sandwiches - complete with giardiniera !! This is the good. The bad - We have ordered from here at least 30 or more times... We recently had a problem with the delivery pizza where the Cheese had slid off a thin crust pizza. I called in and told him the situation, we had already waited an hour and 10 minutes for the pizza, so I said we'll put it back together as best we can. The lady that I called said I should take up my problem with the manager. No problem, I left my phone number for him to call back. This is when the problem started... The manager basically called me a liar. He said it was not possible that the cheese and toppings slide off, which anyone that orders pizza takeout knows can happen. Also note that I've never had a problem with any orders we've had from the restaurant. So at that point, it was game on for me. I asked the manager what he would do for me, he said nothing, when pressed he said he would give me half off my next pizza... But he said I still had to tip on the whole amount - no shit! The manager was such an asshole I do not recommend this restaurant, they do not stand behind their product, and the manager just doesn't care about return customers. So we will never eat here again. Note that the food is probably a four, but with the poor service from management, I would rate this place 2 stars. read more

I ordered an Italian beef for pick up. I was told 5 to 10 minutes. Got there in 15. Order not ready. Had to wait about 10 minutes. When I got it home it was ice cold. I asked why the extra 25 minutes and the girl said they would put it in a hot box.... I went to pick the pizza up and while standing there you can see through a window in the back where they make the pizza and one of the persons in the back actually spit into a garbage can next to where they make the pizza. This is hands down one of the best pizza restaurants I've ate at in my entire life. I'm from Chicago and use to get this pizza all the time. I eat at a lot of different pizza restaurants since it's my favorite food but this one has such a good thin crust and deep dish pizza. The sausage here is amazing and is my fav topping for the pizza here. The pizzas is always spot on. This restaurant tastes just like the ones back home in Chicago. This is how pizza should be! Just before the hit of Hurricane Irma and swinging by after our stop at the local Wal-Mart, we stopped in by chance. Chicago style pizza in the area? Definitely needed to try, especially after that last two new pizza joints in the area closed. Unfortunately, this place has no dine-in so we decided to come back later. Today, after Irma, I ordered delivery. It ended up quicker than forecast, which was nice. Just remember a deep dish takes a long time to bake when ordering versus the normal hand tossed and thin crust we're used to in this area. I ordered a 14 inch deep dish, a 16 inch thin crust, and an order of fries. To be honest, the fries were limp and not seasoned, and the thin crust is nowhere near as good as Paul's down the way. But the Chicago Deep Dish was phenomenal. So by giving the fries a 0 (out of 5), the thin crust a 3 (great sauce, good cheese, no crunch) and the deep dish a 5 (lots of cheese and sauce ((see picture))) and great delivery 5, I felt a 4 star rating would be fair. I suspect the thin would be better if not ordered with a deep dish as it might have sat while the other cooked, losing the crispy cracker crust I'm used to. Here's hoping they stay. I drove 30 mins to get pizza here since I'm from Illinois and have not found decent pizza here in tampa since I've arrived. I have to say, the flavors were spot on and oh so good. I took off a star because both my breaded mushrooms and the pizza crust were soggy. I even opened them both to try a bite right when I got the pizza and they were like that out of the shop, so the sogginess was not from sitting in the car. My husband and I always look for places that serve Chicago food. Was in the area and decided to give this Rosati's restaurant a try. As not being from the local area, I asked if there was a way for me to take an un-baked pizza home. Penny, who was at the counter, informed me they can par-bake the pizza so I can finish baking it at home. Perfect, that's exactly what I was looking for! I placed my order and within a short amount of time my pizza was ready to go. Upon getting home, I placed the pizza in a 400 ° oven and baked it for 15 - 25 minutes. We like our pizza extra well done so the cheese is brown and the crust is very crispy. The pizza was great! It tasted like eating at Rosati's in Chicago. We had leftover pizza, which was great cold the next day. I'm so excited to have found this Rosati's. I can't wait until i'm back in this area again. read more

We wanted to switch it up a bit and try this Chicago style near us and we were not disappointed! We had their Heavyweight deep dish pizza with extra cheese, extra sausage, and extra pepperoni. Yum!!! I placed an order via Yelp (fyi don't do this...it is delivered by Grubhub and when our pizza arrived half of the pizza had slid into the other half). I do not recommend ordering from here! Several times the delivery driver has been rude, made me walk all the way outside and down the street to get my order when I placed a no contact order. After 36 years up north our entire family moved from the far NW Suburbs of Chicago to FL. My favorite pizza is pan style and for those who have tried it, Rosati's doesn't even come close to a true tasting authentic pan style pizza so I always order thin crust from Rosati's. So single star is really because of their service and from our (first time) non-pizza order. So I order a Calzone with Mushrooms and Ricotta Cheese. I've never had their Calzone, pizza yes, but not anything else and wish I didn't because it was awful! Just awful!Not only bad, my Calzone had the wrong ingredients. After I get home I find a pepperoni and mozzarella cheese Calzone in the box. So I made a phone call just to let them know, hey, I brought home a Pepperoni and not my Mushroom and Ricotta so maybe you mixed an order up, so check if there's a Calzone being picked up and they don't get the wrong one too. And, to again let you know I got the wrong one. Now I know who I'm talking to, it's a ride front desk clerk with green dyed hair the same who took my payment who was probably 15 or 16 and just didn't have all her marbles. So she says, "ok". I'm like, ok, can I speak to the manager please. So Nina (the Rosatis Manager) answers and I had to explain again that I got the wrong order. I picked my order up (order #60) about 20 minutes ago and I got the wrong Calzone. Nina's answers with "ok". And that's all she says. I was like omg! Not even an apology for screwing up my dinner or how my taste buds were destroyed as pepperoni is a far cry from my expected delicious mushroom and ricotta, and does Nina have any clue about Management, plus I've way overpaid for this lousy pepperoni! Love this place! I don't order pizza often, but Rosati's is the only place I'll order from in the Tampa area. I've had both their thin crust and their deep dish, can't go wrong with either. I'd suggest only ordering their deep dish if you plan on sharing because it is a LOT of food - the last time I picked up my order the guy behind the counter didn't let go of the box until he was sure I had it, which was smart because it was really heavy! Most recently got a deep dish to share with my roommates, who all really liked it - made remarks on how it 'really is a deep dish' as well as the seasoning of the crust, which I agree was very good. Generous with the toppings/ingredients and very cheesy too! I visited Chicago last month and had a chance to compare this location to the one they have near Lincoln Park, Illinois, as well as other pizza places in the Chicago area - you're definitely getting an authentic Chicago pizza from this place. I enjoy their thin crust because it's not as greasy compared to other pizzas I've had, the pizza itself is cooked perfectly, and again - they're generous with toppings. Their menu is fairly easy to make custom orders with, whether you're ordering online or on the phone/in person. Reasonable prices as well for the amount of & quality of food you're getting.
