Our waitress was attentive until our food came out, but after that, she didn't really check up on us. We tried to get her attention for five minutes to have her fill our water glasses, since she hadn't done so all night. As for the food, the tempo of serving was good. Our appetizers came out pretty fast, & our entrees came out a bit less promptly. For appetizers, we got the Greek Cigars, which I really enjoyed! They tasted like a mix between a spanakopita & a mozzarella stick, which was unique & delicious. The lemon aioli dip was very lemon-forward; a bit too much for my preferences. We also got the Buffalo Cauliflower, which was great! Those had a strong buffalo taste, but weren't overpoweringly spicy. The Pretzel Bites had a good flavor, a reasonable amount of salt, & they were a good level of crispy. The creamy cheese dip was okay; the flavor wasn't very prominent. I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap with House-Made Kettle Chips, & I thought it was great! The chips were very thin & flaky, & I'd never had chips quite like that, but I enjoyed them. The chicken & lettuce tasted super fresh, & the wrap was sufficient. It wasn't very saucy, but it didn't necessarily need more. My friend got the Fish and Chips, & said they were definitely a highlight. The batter was heavily seasoned & the fish was flaky & tasted very fresh. My parents shared the Jägerschnitzel with Potato Pancakes (a seasonal item on their Oktoberfest menu), & described it as essentially a panko-breaded fried pork cutlet with a mushroom sauce. Not 100% authentic but tasty nonetheless. The potato pancakes were thick & fluffy; a nice addition to the dish. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Tarpon Tavern. The prices were a little high for the portion sizes, but the food was great!
