POSITANO'S!!! THAT WAS THE BEST MEAL I HAVE EVER EATEN! Yall are sleeping on the most authentic Italian Food in Florida and it's not even close. POSITANO'S next to Sweet Caroline's in PH is absolutely to die for. The ingredients were all so authentic you could taste each individual one. Everything was a perfect blend without being too rich. I have heartburn and can't eat red sauce typically but this was culinary perfection! They also serve lunch which is a bit cheaper than the dinner menu. We had Mozzarella Caprese, Fiocchi, & Tuscan Fish Chowder as an appetizer. For our entrees we had Penne alla Vodka and Shrimp & Chicken Picotta. Our server Leonarda was from Rome which was invaluable to have a local guide us through the different flavor & ingredient pairings to select the right one and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is so cute inside nice and romantically lit with a live Jazz singer. How can you be YALL REALLY REALLY NEED TO GO GIVE THEM A TRY YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Posit

We were welcomed by the Manager, who nicely opened the front door and chatted with us. The hostess sat us right away. We were walked by a nice, full bar and a setup for a one/two man band. The upgrade to this restaurant is noticeable. We were celebrating two birthdays and they made a point to sing with the singer and the whole restaurant sang along. A nice touch. We had a delicious app which was like a pasta purse filled with cheese and a piece of pear. It was drizzled with oil and it was simply tasty. For our meals, we ordered the gnocchi bolognese (creamy and delicious), the Chilean sea bass over risoto (melted in your mouth), and double boned in stuffed pork chop (tasty and unlike any other) and a NY strip. We had a wonderful experience, felt more personal, and we'll definitely recommend and return!

We wanted to find a classy Italian neighborhood restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Positano's definitely fits that bill. We made an early reservation last Saturday to beat the crowd and we were seated promptly. Sean took our drink order while we looked over the menu. He also brought out some fresh crusty bread with an excellent dipping sauce. I ordered the ribeye and my wife ordered the chicken piccata. Both were great. You can tell when a chef pays attention to details when the sides are delicious. My mashed potatoes and roasted veg were outstanding and my steak was charred nicely and done to my preferred temp. Her chicken piccata came with angel hair and a very nice sauce. The live jazz music started at 6:00. They are good and not too loud so you can still enjoy your meal. We shared a tiramisu and coffees for dessert. We will be back to try more menu items in the future.

We have been regulars at this establishment for over 8 years. Always enjoyed the food and ambiance, despite a few snafu's with service. We were saddened when it closed, but we're excited yet nervous when not long after they announced they would reopen. Unfortunately our suspicious were confirmed, as their portions have suffered greatly, while pricing has maintained or increased. We'll try it again in the future but we will give it time in hopes it will come back around..

    Sea bass. Delicious!!

Ate bar side last night. Bartender pleasant, put on the golf and basketball tournaments for us, food was delicious. Included side salads were very nice.

The prices are actually very reasonable, and I was even a little shocked at that. I ended up getting the seafood, over pasta for $23.99, which is muscles, shrimp, clams and calamari and I went with the white wine sauce. You could also get marinara or fra Diavolo sauce. It was fantastic. She ended up getting the veal Parmesan with angel hair and a side Caesar salad for $20.99 and that was fantastic as well. I think my only issue with my experience is we came in with about 45 minutes before they closed and the minute the restaurant closed. They immediately turned the lights on and started putting the chairs up. We were almost finished with dinner, but it just kind of felt very rushed in the end and I think it was they close at 8 PM. All in all very good experience, but just wish we had a little more time and I understand from working in the restaurant industry... You don't want to hang out all night and annoy the staff but turning the lights on immediately at close was kinda meh

The Italian wedding soup was excellent in flavor.

***GLUTEN FREE REVIEW*** On my Gluten Free journey to find…read morenew places to enjoy, I came across suggestions for Casa Cosenza. I read that the Chef is the wife/owner and the husband/owner runs front of house. I read they offered GF bread, pasta and other options. We went in right after they opened for the evening at 5:30pm. There was a couple at the bar and 5 gentlemen at a table. The ambiance and decor is nice and comfortable. There's a full bar. As we sat a young man brought water and menus right away, then brought a bread plate. I asked if he could bring GF bread. He returned and let me know there was none available. Not a big deal. The owner greeted us and I asked about the menu. On Yelp a menu shows clearly marked GF options, but none were on this revised menu. It did have a notation that GF options were available upon request. He said to just pick what I like and he'll see if it can be GF. I'll be honest, I "think" the server(s) must have called in sick because it was just the owner and the young kid, and the owner seemed very disorganized about serving and it wasnt even busy yet. It took a good 10-15 minutes until he was able to make his way back to us to order wine and a cocktail. His response to hubby's cocktail was that he's not a bartender and cant make a Moscow Mule. I asked if he had GingerBeer (I would walk him through it) but he said no. Hubby drank water, I had a glass of Pinot Noir. I knew things like Lasagne, Ravioli, etc could not be made GF, but the 3 plain pasta options weren't appealing to me. So I asked about the Eggplant appetizer and could it be made a dinner. He said he could make it dinner sized. Sounds good! Hubby got the Veal Scallopini Marsala. It does take awhile to get the food but you are forewarned that everything is fresh and made to order, so we were ok with the wait. My eggplant and sauce had a delicious flavor! However, the portion was small...either they forgot to make it larger (but charged me for it) or it just wasnt sufficient. Sadly, I left hungry. Worse, it was also COLD. I was so surprised! It was so cold that the Mozzarella Cheese was hardened on the inside. And speaking of hard....both hubby and my potatoes were hard and undercooked so we couldnt eat them. The veggies were good, but I also couldnt eat the chewy round parmesan crisps. Husband's Meal was decent, he said the sauce was delicious, but the veal was a bit tough, and again, his potatoes were undercooked and couldnt eat them. So to sum up, service was a bit disorganized and a tad slow (but I really do think someone called in as there was no server or bartender), the food was cold and small portions, BUT.....the flavor was really good! It is a bit of a disappointment to leave a restaurant hungry and paying $80 for a meal. Reading all the excellent reviews I think we just caught them on an off night. My suggestion, take your chances, it is a charming restaurant and the flavor of the food is really good--just try to catch them on a good night! I didn't try the mozzarella triangles myself, but others at our table said they were delicious. For mains, we ordered the "Combination for Two," lasagna, and the special of the day, a parmesan-crusted salmon. The salmon was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The combination platter itself was very generous--easily enough for three people depending on your appetite. It came loaded with fried eggplant, two sausages, spaghetti, cheese ravioli, plus a basket of garlic bread. The bread was excellent, especially with the flavorful garlic butter seasoning. For dessert, we split the lemon cake with raspberry drizzle, which was light, refreshing, and a perfect ending to the meal. If I had one critique, it's that the red sauces across different dishes tasted very similar, which made it feel a little repetitive. That said, I definitely plan to return and try more dishes to explore the variety of flavors they have to offer.

I will not crave it, but it's not bad. If we were in the area and needed to eat, I would definitely stop there again. The notable exception is the Arancini. They would be better with a little meat in the center. We've enjoyed them twice now and they're delicious. What is bad, and why I gave it three stars is the bar. When I go for a nice night out, I want a delicious cocktail. It makes their night feel special. Their bartender is terrible. My drink tasted like they'd used a mix and added vodka. It did not taste fresh or specially made. It tasted packaged. Worse than that, it originally arrived wrong. I ordered the pomegranate martini without the sugar rim. In my opinion, the sugar rim would have made it too sweet. Skipping that step makes the bartender's job easier, right?! I got a sugar rim. When the server arrived and put it down, she immediately noticed and brought it back for the bartender to fix. This is not the first time I've had a bad drink there. The last time we went I got an Italian Margarita. Horrible! I have never had a drink that was actually undrinkable. Now I have. Amaretto has no business in a margarita. A margarita is supposed to be fresh and bright. The Amaretto overpowers everything. One sip and I sent it back. It was replaced with a lemon drop. I did enjoy that very much, but what I didn't enjoy was the rock candy garnish. Again, too sweet. Who do they think they're bartending for, children?! Ditch the sugar!
