14" thin crust cheese with sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms
    Richard M.

As a Chicago native I have to try all the Chicago restaurants. There are so few. I've been wanting to try this for a long time but it's 30 minutes away and not on my route to anywhere. I ordered by phone and was told it would be 30 minutes. I arrived in 35 minutes and it was waiting for me in the warmer. A little pricey but definitely worth it. You feel the weight of the box and you know there is plenty of cheese and toppings. I ordered sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. The crust was crispy and the flavor was excellent. Of course it was cut in squares as a tavern pizza should be. Definitely worth the drive!!

Best deep dish pizza in the world! Not the cheap, fake deep dish like fast food pizza. This is a whole pizza pie! Please do yourself a favor and order here next time you want pizza.

Large cheese and sausage perfectly done (ignore the "corners" I eat while driving!).

This place is FIXED! New manager who is obviously from Chicago and understands thin crust pizza. Our last several visits have been outstanding. Literally couldn't order anything larger than a Medium in the past, because the pizza would be soggy and undercooked in the middle. Awesome comeback by this Chicago pizza icon! The pizza I ordered last night was perfect! PS Put up an awning and figure out some seating options, or at least counter inside for when you grab a quick slice and a Coke.

We order here pretty frequently on Uber eats because the pizza is not bad. They have good Chicago deep dish, they're thin crust is pretty good as well. Unfortunately it's hit or miss. I ordered a salad for the first time there today, and about a quarter of the salad was wilted so I had to pick through everything and get rid of the bad spinach to eat the rest. The balsamic is so pungent with vinegar that it's hard to eat. Overall, That was super disappointing considering it's a $14 salad. If you're ordering, stick to pizza.

Best Chicago tavern style pizza in the bay!!!

If you're looking for a pie as close to those great Chicago establishments we know this is the spot. We came here for outle favorite thin crust tavern style and man were we pleased. I truly have to say it's pretty darn close to those we have had in Chi town like Vitto & Nicks.. We got sausage on our pie and you could tell it was ground sausage not sliced which is the best way in my opinion. The crust had that perfect cracker crunch when but into.. The sauce was perfect not too sweet or overly acidic. Our only wish was that they had and interior to sit and enjoy your pizza while it's fresh out of the oven. Other than that it's a great slice of pie and one of the better ones in the bay. We will from now on order from here whenever we get take out pizza that's for sure.

I stopped in here to try their pizza one Friday night. I placed an order to go with a friendly cashier. While I waited, there were plenty of customers stopping in to pick up orders and place orders. I was really surprised at how much traffic I experienced while waiting. I thought to myself, wow Rosati's must make one heck of a pizza! I got my cheese with half jalapenos home only to find out the jalapenos were not fresh as the cashier indicated but pickled. It gave my pizza a sour flavor and caused me to pick out quite a few just to finish my pie. The pizza crust was nice and thin and cut into squares. The toppings were sufficient, as they didn't skimp on the cheese or jalapenos. And the sauce wasn't overly sweet or acidic. I didn't have a bad experience here, I just didn't have an amazing one either. I should also mention if you are paying with a card, there's a 3.99% surcharge.

This pizza is delicious, I love tavern style pizza and this is the real deal. I don't know why NY style pizza is so popular here but I will always be a Chicago style patron!!!

When we lived in Libertyville, Illinois, in 1981-82, we got a delicious pizza every Friday from Rosati's, which was less than 5 miles from our home. In 1984, we found ourselves in Palm Harbor - and found Rosati's again, one mile from our home. They were the same family we left behind! Again we enjoyed their delicious pizzas - until they closed & moved. We found them in Sarasota around 2012, the same family business. Whenever my husband worked in Sarasota, he brought home their fantastic pizza. Now, in 2021, they are in Oldsmar, and we love their pizzas! Last night (9/14/21), we got their thin crust sausage pizza (our favorite) and decided to try their spinach calzone. Neither disappointed. They were both excellent. Husband and I needed this comfort food as both of us have had bad colds for the last week. Rosati's was the cure!

Call ahead so the pizza is ready if wanting deep dish! (45 min wait) No inside seating so keep that in mind however even after driving 30 minutes home from this location (I live in Tampa) the pizza was still hot. This was my first time trying Chicago deep dish pizza and this was amazing! 2 slices and I was beyond stuffed, the crust was crispy, flaky and buttery! The sauce was perfect not super acidic and a slight sweetness. The one pie was $30 after adding pepperoni but it was enough to feed 3 people and have leftovers for later! So I feel it was worth it, highly recommended. Must try!

Tastes as good as it looks.

The space has been beautifully updated and now feels contemporary, romantic, and much more like an upscale dining destination. The new bar is especially inviting, and I can easily see my husband and me stopping in just for drinks and happy hour. Speaking of happy hour--it was one of the highlights of our visit. The appetizer and drink selection is excellent, and even the house Chardonnay (which I almost never order) was surprisingly delicious. Our favorite dishes were the pizza, which was exceptional, the burrata salad, and the artichoke appetizer. All three were standouts and are absolutely worth ordering again. We split the Bolognese. While it was enjoyable, it tasted more like a classic spaghetti and meat sauce than the rich, slow-cooked ragù I typically expect from a traditional Bolognese. It wasn't bad by any means--I simply think this is one recipe that could be elevated to match the quality of everything else we had. I also want to give a special thank-you to our server, Michael. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helped make our evening enjoyable. Great service always makes a difference, and he did an excellent job. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. If you've been hesitant because of the overall rating, I'd encourage you to give Martin's a try. I read that the Chef is the wife/owner and the husband/owner runs front of house. I read they offered GF bread, pasta and other options. We went in right after they opened for the evening at 5:30pm. There was a couple at the bar and 5 gentlemen at a table. The ambiance and decor is nice and comfortable. There's a full bar. As we sat a young man brought water and menus right away, then brought a bread plate. I asked if he could bring GF bread. He returned and let me know there was none available. Not a big deal. The owner greeted us and I asked about the menu. On Yelp a menu shows clearly marked GF options, but none were on this revised menu. It did have a notation that GF options were available upon request. He said to just pick what I like and he'll see if it can be GF. I'll be honest, I "think" the server(s) must have called in sick because it was just the owner and the young kid, and the owner seemed very disorganized about serving and it wasnt even busy yet. It took a good 10-15 minutes until he was able to make his way back to us to order wine and a cocktail. His response to hubby's cocktail was that he's not a bartender and cant make a Moscow Mule. I asked if he had GingerBeer (I would walk him through it) but he said no. Hubby drank water, I had a glass of Pinot Noir. I knew things like Lasagne, Ravioli, etc could not be made GF, but the 3 plain pasta options weren't appealing to me. So I asked about the Eggplant appetizer and could it be made a dinner. He said he could make it dinner sized. Sounds good! Hubby got the Veal Scallopini Marsala. It does take awhile to get the food but you are forewarned that everything is fresh and made to order, so we were ok with the wait. My eggplant and sauce had a delicious flavor! However, the portion was small...either they forgot to make it larger (but charged me for it) or it just wasnt sufficient. Sadly, I left hungry. Worse, it was also COLD. I was so surprised! It was so cold that the Mozzarella Cheese was hardened on the inside. And speaking of hard....both hubby and my potatoes were hard and undercooked so we couldnt eat them. The veggies were good, but I also couldnt eat the chewy round parmesan crisps. Husband's Meal was decent, he said the sauce was delicious, but the veal was a bit tough, and again, his potatoes were undercooked and couldnt eat them. So to sum up, service was a bit disorganized and a tad slow (but I really do think someone called in as there was no server or bartender), the food was cold and small portions, BUT.....the flavor was really good! It is a bit of a disappointment to leave a restaurant hungry and paying $80 for a meal. Reading all the excellent reviews I think we just caught them on an off night. My suggestion, take your chances, it is a charming restaurant and the flavor of the food is really good--just try to catch them on a good night! The new owners are clearly trying to please customers, and we appreciate their efforts. Service is still friendly, and the place feels welcoming. However, some changes are baffling. A successful restaurant succeeds for a reason. Why alter the winning formula. They removed pizza (a big favorite for many), kept similar-sounding dishes but without the same exceptional flavors, and it seems they didn't retain the longtime chef and staff that made it special. The result is good, but not the standout experience we loved. We're not here to criticize harshly. Running a restaurant is tough. But the old saying fits perfectly: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
