Wow we finally stopped in for lunch and my tummy left feeling very happy! You know that kind of place that is just good for the soul once in a while? This is it! You have to try their Mac and cheese it's very delicious, we especially loved the green chili one with pork. I also got their turkey sandwich and thought $15 was a little steep but it is made with freshly sliced turkey and not the lunch meat kind. You order at a screen and wait for your number. Only outside seating so no a/c but they do have beer and wine for sale as well as meals to make later. Lemonade needed a little extra sugar but the brown butter chocolate chip cookie was the perfect ending. We walked around and saw their event space which is really pretty and an outdoor space for ceremonies. In the fall they have a small pumpkin patch out front. read more

I don't remember the ordering process exactly, it's like you order at the register and then pay right there and... you get your food on a tray after. Kind of cafeteria style. I think there were a lot of offerings like pastries and breads and things on shelves you could add to your order, I wish I spent more time looking around. Sat outside, the weather was pretty good that day.. It was warm, I don't remember there being fans or anything. But maybe there were. I believe there is some indoor seating as well. The breakfast biscuit is yummy, the cinnamon roll was massive, just a little dry (the parts without the icing). I have been meaning to come here to the farm but made it to breakfast first instead. I discovered Fat Beet in my search for the healthiest sourdough bread in Tampa. This place and Sammi's were at the top of my list after all my inquiries. In my mind however, when I read they had a bakery, a market, served breakfast and lunch I planned a full morning of activities. Breakfast and the farms market were to be my first stops. Unfortunately, I got there a little after 8am and found out their market did not open til 10am. Not only that, they do not sell fruits and vegetables, my assumption, at their market, it's a barn where outside vendors sell their wares. The food in their cases was very tempting, the salads looked amazing and so did the soups. The fact is however, that common folk such as I would be hard pressed to afford their meals on a regular basis once I am buying for the family. Salad is $15, $30 once I get one for my wife, a fair price, but I would be splurging. The soup was more affordable and I could share with my wife. I got the Roasted Tomato Soup and a loaf of Sourdough. I should have bought extra for the freezer. They do have a kitchen, a bakery and a small farm store. I ordered my breakfast at the kiosk and then shopped the store. There is a farm to table selection of meals, soups and salads in the fridge cases. A very nice and healthy assortment to take home. There was coffee, matcha and fresh beverages behind the counter as well as cold drinks in the fridges. The kitchen offered all day breakfast choices, soups sandwiches and salads. There were baked goods everywhere. Cookies, cakes, pies and many other confections. Of course, plenty of their Sourdough bread and their Biscuits seem to be a popular option for breakfast. My Grilled Cheese was delicious with a small bowl of Toamato Soup. I was done fairly quick, and back on the road. I did not wait to see the market and it was too early for the Oldmar Flea Market. There is plenty of parking on the side field if the lot gets full. Lots of people were just picking up stuff to take home. It's an awesome place to visit and get breakfast or lunch. There are delicious looking desserts and pastries that I want to try. Just not possible to try all that I have my eyes locked on... went for lunch...their veggie sandwich was "meh". There were many other options and we will be back for another try. my suggestion is to go early as some items were sold out. Due to current heat, I think it will be a great place to go and hang out for a long breakfast or lunch in late October, November or later when the weather is cooler. A friend and I went to Fat Beet Farm for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Neither one of us had been there before and were a little confused on how the restaurant worked. There's outside seating in multiple areas that stretches across the main building. I believe there were two kiosks available inside to order food and once we ordered, there was a separate line to pay and a separate area to pick up the food. Wasn't what I was expected but it still lived up to a five star visit. We decided to drive out to Fat Beat Farms to finally go see what they were all about. When we got there, parked and walked over towards the fence area where we realized that there was a sign saying that the farm wasn't opened. So we headed inside which is like a very farm fresh restaurant. They had a lot of good stuff on their menu and merch all around and some grocery items you could buy to take home. I asked someone about the farm if we were able to view it and they said that they weren't doing viewings on that day which was unfortunate but that was my fault for not looking into it further. Next time I'll be more prepared. Still a cool spot if you're looking to grab lunch. read more

We've eaten here a lot since they've opened, and it's a favorite of our two DIL's. Decides to go for breakfast this morning... We all got some form of the biscuit sandwiches, and my wife got the chicken salad (doesn't eat bread). They are LARGE sandwiches and VERY filling. The sausage had some spice to it, but not enough to overwhelm. Mine was sausage, egg, and cheese. Really enjoyed it! Our only complaint is we wish there were some kind of indoor seating, especially since we're in Florida Even if the back porch were included it would make a HUGE difference and we'd maybe eat here more often. The farm tour was so much fun and informative! My son and I loved feeding the animals and the samples. I also enjoyed learning about gardening in Florida. Sadly this business has taken a turn for the worse. My last three visits have been bad. The checkout folks aren't friendly and work very slowly. The food has declined substantially. The chicken sandwiches used to be amazing but now the chicken is so tough and chewy. The bread on the Cuban sandwich was underbaked and chewy. And now a change in policy where they don't refill iced tea for dine in customers. After dozens of visits I'm done here. If it's not friendly, tasty and fair there's no reason to return. The sourdough is great, got a really soft and tangy taste and texture. The vegan reuben is very light and easy to eat. If you don't like sauerkraut, this is not the sandwich for you. This review is for one of their Soecial Events but I love everything about Fat Beet Farm. They partnered with the wonderful Chef & owner of The Tides Seafood Market in Safety Harbor for one of my favorite foodie evenings and the best one with my dad, Terry Devaney. When I told dad I wanted to do the Special Shrimp Boil with the proceeds to benefit Fat Beet Farm's educational programs for kids ands people with disabilities, he said heck yeah and even treated! We had an amazing time Fantastic food I could go on and on about as all 4 courses were delicious. Best Shrimp Boil I've ever had and the Bananas Foster Bread pudding with real whipped cream is something I'll try to duplicate. It was out of this world yummy. Thank you The Tides Seafood Market & Provisions, Chef and his amazing wife Mary Kate for an amazing meal. Our tablemates @ Table One rocked Best table and so much fun! The Bees Knees cocktail of the evening was delicious with strawberry puree, lemonade, vodka and mint. This place has been all over social media recently, and it's a very cute place! A bit on the smaller side and all seating is outside (though covered patio at least). Service was friendly and quick. I tried the Cuban sandwich here, and while not my favorite in the area, still a yummy choice! I would love to attend an event to be able to see the barn area and more of the fields! I was so curious to check out Fat Beet Farm and very glad I did. The whole place was adorable but I primarily visited the restaurant area. I had a delicious sandwich and side of mac and cheese-- the portions are large enough that I definitely didn't need both, but since I don't live nearby and wanted to try them I went a little overboard. There were so many things in the shop and i on the menu that sounded great! The staff was friendly and the space lovely for sitting outside among the plants on a nice day (under shade!). The market aspect was another great touch with plants, baked goods, fresh items in the farm fridge, and more. It was a fun spot and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Finally got a chance to visit Fat Beer Farm and everything lived up to the hype! We went on a rainy cold day so we did not explore too much of the farm but there are tours you can sign up for and other activities. Their bakery is a dream, everything looks amazing but we decided on the carrot muffin, chocolate mocha cookie, banana choco muffin and blueberry scone - all were very good! The highlight of the food though was their gumbo, chicken lemon basil sandwich and the chicken biscuit!! Everything was delicious and flavorful! They have tons of goods to take home as well. We got basil oil for our salads and soups and sourdough bread which is a huge steal. Saw someone walking out with 5 loaves! I made it out to Fat Beet Farm in mid-December 2024 for lunch. It's a beautiful little area, somehow managing to feel secluded despite being just off a busy highway between Town'n'Country and Oldsmar; the seating is all outdoors on the farm's porch. You order inside at a counter and they bring the food out to you. The service was fast and quite friendly. They have a large selection of premade salads and sandwiches, along with bakery goods, breads, and "take and bake" dishes to bring home. But I came for the "Cafe Menu," mostly breakfast/brunch items and hot sandwiches. I had the smoked beef French dip, which was terrific--the roast beef is good, to be sure, but the freshly baked bread was the star of the plate. I've been a regular at Fat Beet Farm for a while now, and every visit feels like a breath of fresh air. I really enjoy their Sunday mornings yoga in their rustic barn. After yoga, I always treat myself to a bite from the cafeteria, where the food is as fresh as it is satisfying. They also host various events at the barn. I took one of their beekeeping classes which was a great experience. Not only did we learn about bees and harvesting honey, but we also got to enjoy the honey with freshly made biscuits afterwards. One of the things I love most is exploring the farm grounds. Touring the property gives me a firsthand look at the sustainable practices in action--from rainwater collection to composting--and it's inspiring to see eco-friendly values in practice every day. We booked the walking farm tour and thoroughly enjoyed it! Kaitlin was a wonderful tour guide. It was interactive and so informative. We got to taste, smell, and touch herbs, vegetables and microplants. We fed the chickens and the goats. We learned about aquaponics and were able to view the bee hives. After the tour we enjoyed a delicious brunch with some fresh items from their farm. I would so recommend this location and especially the tour. You can also buy pre made food to take home. You can sit on the front patio and watch the kitchen prep. Everyone we came in contact with who worked there were very friendly and helpful. I even bought some honey to bring home!! Awesome concept: a farm that does farm-to-table A great place to meet up with family on a Sunday morning and let the kids run around. The food was fresh and great but...the fried chicken sandwich I had really needed some work. There were more than a few bites that were just batter and gristle, with no chicken underneath. The breast was also overly flat, like it was pounded down for eaiser frying. I prefer a much more plump and juicy breast. Members of my family didn't have the same issue as me though, so maybe my breast was just an outlier. read more

Sunday lunch after church with the family. I had passed by the nearby Fat Beet Farm and decided to try it out. Easy to find, most parking is on a grass lot on the north side but also parking in the rear. Because the inside is basically order and/or pickup, there are covered patios in front and back plus tables on the front lawn. The most difficult part was getting all the orders together for four adults and two teens. We let several customers go by us while we occupied one of the two order kiosks. Finally the crew decided on two Cubans, two French Dips, Power Chicken, Butternut Squash soup, Bacon Spinach Quiche, Mac & Cheese, Chocolate Muffin and Blueberry Pie. Paid for order then picked up drinks, cutlery and napkins and sat at a large table. In a short time our meals came. As our usual practice, we shared our food. Cubans were good, French Dips were good, Mac & Cheese ok. Power Chicken was excellent. The Spinach Quiche was good but my wife's is better. Butternut Squash was excellent. The Chocolate Muffin was a flop, not even my wife, a Chocoholic, like it. But the Blueberry Pie was the favorite. Wonderful ambiance, great fresh choices and nice patio seating for nice weather.
