I visited Tampa and had lunch with friends at this restaurant, and we had such a great experience! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and since we had reservations, we were seated right away. I ordered the kefta sub, and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was tender, the bread was soft, and it was such a unique and delicious take on a traditional kefta. I also tried the lavender lemonade, which was so refreshing and flavorful--the perfect drink to go with the meal. For dessert, I got a cookie, and it might have been one of the best cookies I've ever had! The chocolate was perfectly melted, and the cookie was soft, warm, and absolutely delicious. I'd give this place about 2.5 stars. The food itself was good, but I left feeling like it just wasn't worth the price. I ordered the shredded chicken salad, and to be fair, the chicken was absolutely delicious. My issue was that it was served over a basic mixed greens salad with very few extras, and paying around $30 for it felt excessive. The loukoumades (Greek donuts) were also delicious, but again, the portion was surprisingly small for about $16. One thing that also frustrates me is that they seem to be out of many of their bakery items first thing in the morning. They do warn customers about this, but it seems to happen consistently, which is disappointing when you're visiting a bakery and hoping for the full selection. The outdoor seating also wasn't the most enjoyable. It was quite loud, the seating wasn't especially comfortable, and there were a lot of flies, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. Overall, the food tasted good, but the value just isn't there for me. I don't mind paying premium prices when the portions, experience, or atmosphere justify it, but I left feeling like I paid far more than what I received. read more

I most recently took my sister here for the first time while we were visiting for a concert and she loved it, too! We started with iced baklava lattes and the greek donuts (loukoumades) drizzled with honey and this was actually my first time have these here. They're served hot and fresh -- absolutely delicious! When I want something light for breakfast, my go-to is the Everything but the Bagel yogurt bowl (house cured wild caught salmon, cucumber, pickled red onion, tomato, crispy capers, & everything seasoning). It's such a fresh gorgeous bowl, packed with protein. I also love their extra thick cut bacon on the side. My sis got the strapatsada which is a breakfast classic on their menu (greek scramble with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, & grilled baguette). It's a very generous portion and she had a good amount leftover to take home. Of course, you can't leave without a few pastries for the road! Tried Psomi and I can definitely see why this place stays busy! We split the lamb pita and the chicken souvlaki and both were delicious, but the chicken souvlaki was my favorite. The chicken was super juicy and tender. The lamb was good too, but I personally wasn't the biggest fan of it being shredded. Both came with fries, homemade ketchup, and an olive dip and WOW... that olive dip was so good. I could have eaten way more of that. Our waiter also recommended the boozy citrus fizz and dang... such a good recommendation. I got the lemon and I seriously could have chugged the whole thing. We started with coffee and the aforementioned pastries (get them early because they all sell out!). The spanakopita was the perfect, flakey, savory intro and then paired perfectly with the sweet baklava coffee cake and croissant cinnamon roll. All three were exceptional and next time I'll go next door to their market and buy some to take home. From there we dug into breakfast dishes. Absolutely speechless. . . . We stumbled upon this place and I can now say, without hesitation, that this is my favorite restaurant in the state of Florida. Everything was great! We came for brunch and left very happy with the experience. The service was very attentive and accommodating. For example, someone at our table ordered the croissant cinnamon roll, which usually sells out quickly. We thought we had made it in time, but unfortunately they had already sold out. One small downside is that they charge for many add-ons, like +$2.50 for feta. I would expect feta to already come in a lamb pita, so it felt unnecessary to charge extra. Dined at Psomi last weekend and it was amazing! Definitely lived up to the hype. They have an offsite parking lot but also will do valet for $5, so I just opted to do the valet. They have a beautiful patio, which we got to sit on. Amazing weather as well. Started with a mimosa and a latte. Super cute presentation with a little cookie as well! Apps we had the Tzatziki with pita and veggies. Delicious and very fresh. Entrees I had the smash burger which was so good. I know, burger at a Greek place. Oh well, it was SO good! This review is for future Christina. The carbs are to die for, but next time unless you're sharing with someone, only buy one. And that one should be the mushroom tyropita. The phyllo dough is so flaky and the inside is delicious. This time I also got the herb biscuit. It was delicious and very buttery. This is like ranking two amazing things, but too much carbs makes me tired so I should just go with the tyropita. However, if I do ever get the biscuit again I would go with a side of jam, not butter. That biscuit is so buttery already. My husband got the croissant cinnamon roll and it's so good. It's light and the frosting is to die for. This plus black coffee is a chef's kiss. I veered off the coffee and got a Greek honey matcha latte. It was good, but I felt like the matcha taste was a little weak. Next time I'll stick with coffee. It wasn't overly sweet though. For my main I got the strapatsada with house cured salmon. It was good but I didn't love it this time. The eggs tasted a bit overdone. I think this is my sign to branch out to something else. There were tons of available tables on Sunday at 9 am. Psomi is a greek cuisine restaurant and WOW is it authentic! Everything we had was delicious. I recommend getting the dolmas, I like how they were packed with meat versus some places just having rice. The lamb pita was a good size and flavorful. Even their coffee in herbal teas were a hit! I shared a couple of entrees with my husband, because we wanted to try everything! We decided to go for the octopus salad and the Benedict Eggs with salmon, portions are good, that octopus salad is huge, and also so good, I'll come back just to get that for sure, the Benedict's were also delicious and well balanced, you know they can be too much sometimes but these ones were so well made. We came to Psomi in mid-afternoon and were thankful to get a table indoor for the lovely A/C! As usual, we had to get the bread basket while we waited for our food. I was sad that they were out of several items in the bakery at 1:30p. I've never been here for dinner, but I can only imagine how many times the servers have to apologize by evening time. I got the lemon orzo soup which was delicious. Ii also got a blueberry muffin that was good, but not as good as some of the other pastries I've had here.
