$25 for 6" italian sub and two beers. Menu changed, priced up and hardly any meat on the sub now! I have been here several times since they moved to this new location. When they arrived, not bad but apparently they got greedy or cost of product killed them, or because it's run by a pissed off divorced lady...and i can assure you they just screw you on the amount of meat now. I love this place. Admittedly, I've only been here twice but both times were fantastic. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular. First of all, the meats of all their specials are prepped, smoked and sliced in house. The flavors of the meats reflect that. High quality. The bread they use is also delicious. The quality of a bread can really make or break a sandwich. It's a win here. I've had both the Tri-tip and French dip sandwiches. Both were yummy. They have a few draft beers and offer Coors Banquet, which has always been a favorite of mine. Their new location comfortable and clean and the staff was great. I was very disappointed with my sandwich. French Dip was tasteless. No flavor in the meat, as jus or bun. Plain white bread roll. After reading the reviews I was excited to try this shop. I eat very little meat, but sometimes just want a good beef sandwich. This was not a good treat. read more

Rocky Mountain Subs is a true local gem. Being from Denver myself I had to try it. The sub bread is out of this world as is the quality of the meat! Their pork green chile is decent and a must try if you're a Floridian who has never had green chile. Their pork new location is amazing. Very clean and well decorated. The owners are amazing. They messed up an order of mine with the wrong sandwich. U just asked for the correct one and they comped the whole meal. I like to support small local businesses, so when I found myself on this side of town looking for a sandwich, I gave Rocky Mountain Subs a try. Nice looking place with polite staff. I asked the server what was good and he said their TriTip Sandwich was their most popular. So, that's what I got. No sides came with the sandwich, but I did order the baked beans. I sat at the lunch counter and waited for my meal. The baked beans came out first. The was undistinguished and the sauce was on the watery side. I don't know if this is a new trend, but they added chopped red bell peppers to the sauce, Personally, I think it detracts from the flavor, but then again there wasn't too much flavor to begin with. Whatever meets they put in the baked beans wasn't pork or bacon, but it was very tough. I was finished with the beans long before the sandwich came out. At the recommendation of the server I had ordered it all the way. Lettuce, tomato, sweet pepper relish, cheese and maybe something else. Whatever the topping were, they totally drown out the taste of the meat. As I finished my meal I thought to myself how difficult a business this must be. You're competing against a crowded sandwich market filled with franchises like Subway, Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John, and more that have huge advertising budgets . Not to mention the myriad of other lunch options out from McDonald's and Burger King to mom and pop diners, and everything in between. The one thing a small business like this needs to compete is a unique product or flavor. While Rocky Mountain Subs didn't do anything particularly badly, they also didn't do anything particularly well. I won't be back because there's nothing to go back for. read more

I was visiting a nearby hospital and the cafeteria wasn't serving lunch so found this little gem. You may miss it, but don't, it's worth a trip! The staff is super friendly and kind. Love this spot! My husband isn't a huge sandwich person but he loves going here. Every sandwich we have tried is delicious! Lots of flavor. They also do three different sandwich sizes, which is great for those who want a lot or who don't have as big of an appetite. We love their specials and how they rotate through them. We have been coming here for years and drive 20+ minutes for lunch. Our friends loved the smoked wings because they're cooked perfectly crispy and have just the right amount of smoke. The baked beans are the bomb. They are perfectly cooked tender and have a sweet tangy base with large chunks of smoked meat. They also have a unique banana pudding for dessert. It's is very thick and flavorful. I believe it is their secret recipe. I've been trying to get it for a few years now;) You know that the meat is good when the customers are mostly hard working men that come into this place. Unconventional and quirky in the best of ways. The staff is attentive and friendly, the store is kept super clean. They have a great rotation of draft beer on selection - you can sit at the bar and they have two large tvs as well. Menu is diverse and everything I saw them pump out looked incredible. I ordered a tri-tip sub, and a day later I'm craving it again. The meat was lean, tender, juicy, & a little smoky. It was complemented with chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onion, peppers, cheese, vinegar, & oil. So often on a sub the bread is boring. This bread however was soft & pillowy on the inside & lightly crusted for some firmness on the outside. Another person at my table ordered the smoky pastrami Reuben & raved for hours about it. This is a family run place that moved from Hwy 19 and Alderman Rd to East Lake Rd. This Fall. They make inventive sandwiches, spicy hile soup and a variety of other slightly different very tasty meals. We love their food and we absolutely love their new location just down the road from us approximately a mile away. We highly recommend trying them you won't regret it. Fabulous! I am addicted to their sandwiches!! I'm not sure you can find a sub as good anywhere in the area! Yes, they're THAT good. Visit 1: went in on a mission to try the Colorado Cuban only to find out its not available everyday. I was so bummed but they told me to check their Facebook page for daily specials. Instead I got the meatball sub. It has actually turned out to be one of my favorites! These meatballs are no joke and when you top them with their special pepper mixture it's like heaven in your mouth. Dang it, now I want one. Visit 2: got the Colorado Cuban after some Facebook stalking. I understand the hype. This thing is good! Also, the bread they make their subs ON is something to brag about. It's so soft and fluffy. My lunch partner said it was like a cloud. True story. Visit 3: yep subs everywhere else are ruined for me...I got the Italian. It was delicious as expected but not a favorite. Glad I tried it though. The meats are fresh and they put those yummy peppers on there. Oh, I haven't mentioned that amazing banana pudding. Holy cow, I don't know how Jill makes it but it's a gift to your tastebuds. Lost track of visits after that but I've also had the tuna and the tri tip. I highly recommend that tri tip sandwich if they have it on a day you visit. The cucumber salad is a refreshing side for those craving a little something more. The Bama slaw is regular coleslaw with a little kick to it. They don't always have the blueberry cheesecake so snag it when you can! I'm making my way thru the menu one visit at a time.
