Very good food. It was my first time checking this place out. Interesting set up. Big smoker outside. You know it's the real deal. I looked around inside while waiting to order. Nothing fancy, which is fine with me. I'm not very fancy. There were some folks seated inside and others getting carry out, like me. The line built up a bit while I waited to order. I really wasn't sure what to try. I decided to get a combo. Beef short ribs and chicken. I also got potato salad and collard greens. Everything was good. The potato salad was a little sweet for me, but again, everything was good. I was a bit thrown off by the menu. It said the combo was twenty bucks but there was an extra five dollar charge for the short ribs. The menu specified some things being extra, but not everything, I guess. Again, it was my first time. I'll get it right next time. The sides were not part of the combo. I don't recommend the smallest size side. Get at least a 12 ounce or bigger. I am sure I will be back soon. I'll just have to discuss the menu a bit more to get the best value. I'd luv to get a combo or meal that included sides and maybe cornbread or something. Or maybe I will get a bunch more and have a lot more leftover. We'll see. Next time, I'll have a chat before ordering. read more

Very dense cornbread over mixed, hot bbq sauce is very sweet slightly spicy ketchup, brownie is much like the cornbread. Pulled pork was good but I highly recommend toasting the buns to prevent them from becoming soggy immediately. Collard greens have a simple recipe not bad. The best BBQ anywhere, not just the best around here. Love the Senior Sandwich deal! Look ing forward to the holidays and smoked turkey! Would kill for their mild sauce! Their potato salad beats mine, their coleslaw also, and they introduced me to smoked cake! When I go, I go armed with orders from my neighbors as well, and I buy extra pulled pork by the pound and freeze it, or better yet, I go back. All my life I thought I didn't like BBQ, when what I really didn't like was the tomatoey vinegar sauce, but Robert's sauce I buy by the bottle and take home. Drove past this place and saw smoke pouring out of the grills so I had to stop and try it. The smoked wings were outstanding and the hot bbq sauce, although not needed, is wonderful as well. Kudos to the pit master. The collard greens are quite possibly the best greens I've ever tried. I wish I'd ordered more. Service was fast and friendly. Had to stop by when I saw the smoke coming off the smoker and could smell the wood. I had a slab of pork ribs. They were done well with a nice pink smoke ring. They came with a side of sauce. The sauce was quite nice, but I liked them best with just the rub on them. Juicy and delicious. read more

Tom Terrific here with another honest review. My friends and I stopped in because it was handy and with Mr. Pretty Pig outside smoking we just had to try. Cute little place inside. Service was good, with nice people. Here's the bad. No free water. You have to buy a bottle. I've never bought water in my life and won't start now. I went without any drink. I ordered the rib sandwich. Here's what came: Four bone in ribs and three slices of white bread plus cole slaw for $14. The ribs were not fall off the bone. I had to work them. Three squeeze bottles of unremarkable sauce were on the table. My friend had problems with her meal and asked for a replacement and they kindly gave it to her. They were great about it. So I gave three stars which is average. No plans to return but I might because I believe in second chances. read more

The service is always amazing. Weather they are slammed with a line or starting to close. They alway go above and beyond. Now for the food. It's next level good. I ordered a beef brisket with one side and was charged $5 more than usual. I just paid and thought what a big increase in price. I live 5 minutes from there and when I got home everything was cold and the meat was dry not anything like usual meal I have had in the past. I know they suffered from the hurricane but between the price increase and the quality I don't think I will be returning. read more

Placed a LARGE delivery order for a family celebration last week and the whole experience was terrible . Food was delivered with half the order missing , tried calling atleast 15 times for no one to pick up . We then sent our mother down there to find out what was going on so now half of our family had there orders with part of there meal missing by the time she got back with the new food , family members food was cold for waiting . They ran out of corn on the cob but never said that over the phone when the order was placed . The chicken was extremely dry , the burnt ends were soggy , and the macaroni and cheese was mush . We have ordered from the other location and have never had a problem . We wont be returning to this location . read more

First time eating at this location. I got the chicken dinner with corn on the cob and potato salad. The portions are always very generous. Plenty of chicken for 2-3 meals in my opinion. Potato salad was sweet which is different than what I'm used to but I really enjoyed it. Corn of the cob was fresh, not frozen pieces like I'm used to getting when going out. The prices can't be beat. All that including tax was less than $9. Chicken was a little dry tonight but I put some of their homemade hot sauce on it and was better. My friends love their chicken wings so also worth checking out. read more

Been a long time patron of both Robert & former Smoked Out BBQ. Have not been to the BBQ2 location since Robert took over, but stopped Saturday for a convenience meal. Ordered ribs & brisket to go. Cannot recall being so disappointed with a food order. Really wish I'd looked before leaving but had no reason to question Robert's cooking. Meats were all very burnt & dried out. The bark on outside of brisket was so hard, this adult male could not even bite through - had to be peeled off & discarded. Embarrassed to serve this to our guests & even worse that it was $40 worth of food. All I can say is that this was not Robert's product. He's a better grill-man than this. I won't go back to BBQ2. read more
