Oh get the green sauce on top. Warning it's got a good kick. Very tasty food with handmade tortillas.

Caldo de Albondigas, mild broth with large beef/pork meatballs, potato, carrot, corn and greens. Side of rice with lime and avocado.

Everything about this place is cute and clean. Rosa and the staff are so kind n nice to talk to. I had the special Caldo de Albondigas (Mexican meatballs soup.) Very mild but completely flavorful with large pork/beef meatballs, corn, potato, carrot n collard greens. If you never had this before n they're serving it do your soul a favor and order it. You will not be disappointed. *don't forget to squeeze the lime into the soup like I did.

So, we finally got to go to this restaurant. Well, it is more of a burrito shop than a restaurant. This is a small place with about 27 seats. Service is straight forward, walk up order your food pay then go sit and wait. Needless to say, they want their tip upfront. One of my big no-no's. For the most part the food is very good I had the huevos ranchro and my wife had a burrito. The burritos are giant and she took half of it home. Mine was so-so. Eggs were overcooked. Their small potato's served as a side are great. You can watch the staff making the tortilla's in the back. Yes they are made fresh daily and the also sell them. They are about 16 inches in diameter. They offer two types of salsa one hit one mile. Both are good while the service is ok and the food good, five stars no! We will be going back.

It took me three years but I finally managed to sneak up here from Arizona for another chili Colorado burrito. It was just as good as I remember too. Rosa was working as usual and boy is she ever funny. We laughed about this Arizona boys ears sweating from the spice. I still ordered it un-smothered as that would have been just too much, but even so it was just kicky enough that my lips were tingling by the time I was done. Man that is just one yummy burrito. I just wish I lived here soI could try some of the other offerings on the menu.

One of Ogden's best! We went to Rosa's while trying some of the top rated restaurants in Ogden, and wow! It was deserving of the praise. Don't be taken back by the tiny space when you walk in, great things come in small packages in this case. Wanting to sample a variety of the menu, I got a ham and bacon breakfast burrito and my wife ordered a smothered Christmas burrito. The two meat breakfast burrito was amazing and their Chile (salsa/hot sauce) was the best I've had at a restaurant to date. The Christmas burrito was a half Chile verde and half Chile Colorado. Both of us struggled to pick which half was better, because both were that good! We've had our fair share of good Mexican food, and this is right at the top. I also love the small menu, and the specialization in a few dishes they do exceptionally. Don't pass on Rosa's!

This place is amazing. Friendly owners and service, and incredible food. I love the smothered style burrito whenever I go west to ski, but this is by far the best I've had anywhere. The handmade tortillas make a huge difference, and the green chili is insanely good. Also had the chili rellenos another day, and that was very good too, especially for a lighter portion. Everything here is stubbornly homemade. But that green chili. I wanted to take home a bucket of it.

We visited Rosa's after traveling on the FrontRunner. We were looking for a good Mexican food place to have lunch and chose Rosa's. The Cafe is small but has an inviting feel inside. Rosa gave us samples of the different sauces and helped us choose our food. The food is simply delicious. I've been here twice now and each time the food was not only delicious but satisfying - not something that is easy I'll found. Rosa is a wonderful lady willing to take care of you to ensure you have the best experience. She is humble despite having some of the best Mexican food I've tried. If you're in the area, I don't think you'll regret coming here. Hoping to make it a tradition to go here. Thanks Rosa!

This place is so yummy and authentic compared to a lot of other places I've tried here! If you can't handle spicer then don't get the green sauce but other than that jump right in and try this cute little cafe! Great service but a little hard to find. BTW masks are required.

I love this place!! It is very authentic and the food is very good. Unfortunately the place is quite small and the customer service is just ok. You order from a chalkboard at the counter before being seated. Inconvenient when you'd like to add something to your meal while you are eating. The place doesn't take much to be full of customers but there are only three tables and 2 eating bars so not a lot of orders but they still managed to take about 1/2 hour to get the order out. I would have walked out but I had already been charged and did not want to go through the inconvenience of a refund. The place has good food but timing is everything. I won't be back for a while but I do love the food so it may be sooner than I think. It's on the more expensive end as well. It's not a cafe it's Rancheritos style. read more

If you like spicy food, this place is for you! The huevos rancheros for breakfast are great... Probably a bit too spicy for being breakfast though. And water should be offered every time without having to request it. Chile verde and chile relleno smothered burritos are delicious! Can't go wrong with either of those! Beware it is pretty spicy! read more

Great little place in Ogden. They mainly serve burritos, and they are very large, so come hungry. The Colorado sauce is fantastic and isn't very spicy; the Chile verde sauce is also fantastic, but it is very spicy. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was one of the best I've ever had. I think their tortillas are amazing and make the food exceptional. read more

I had the huevos rancheros for lunch. Comes with delicious beans and potatoes. The salsa was hot but also had an amazing flavor. I could eat here every day. This is the real deal! The food is Spivey and delicious. May be the best Mexican I e ever had. Comparable to Frontier in ABQ! Staff was great. read more

If a negative star was available I would use it. I came in to the restaurant and politely asked if they had chimichangas. The look the manager gave me was as if I had just cussed them out! I then asked, because I am not familiar with some of the Mexican dishes, if they had anything similar. A very rude "No" was the response - again with the hatred in his eyes. I said fine - and left. I will never return - Rude - unprofessional - uninviting! read more

This cute little diner is one you can't pass up! I was bordering starvation when i came across this authentic Mexican Resteraunt. They were very inviting when i walked in. I ordered the Chile Colorado burrito and my husband got the chile verde burrito. I loved mine and tried his and loved it too. Everything is homemade, even the tortillas. Honestly the tortillas were one of the best I've ever had. It made the burrito! 5/5 stars. Would definitely recommend! read more

The chile verde was some of the better ones I've had in Utah. I got my smother which next time will ask for less. It made it very wet and not much meat with it smoothered, not worth the extra $2. The menu is limited, not sure if they do tacos or enchiladas. Food was legit thiugh read more

This is HANDS DOWN the best authentic food you're gonna find in Ogden! This family ran cafe takes care of the customer and makes you feel welcome and right at home. Many favorites her but my favorite is the Picadillo Quesadilla. The flavors blend so well together and the price for what you get are unbeatable! This was some true Mexican food. My favorite thing was the tortillas. They were extremely fresh and had the best flavor. I had the chili verde burrito. I requested it smothered, but wish I would not have, because the sauce was extremely spicy. So beware of that. The pork was extremely tender and fell apart. The refried beans were some of the best I have ever have. They have a variety of soda options and other beverages as well. The place was tiny, it's a diner-style establishment, but we were there at lunchtime on a Saturday and were still able to find a table. I would go here again the next time I am in Ogden. read more

This place was absolutely fantastic! While in Ogden on business, went here because of the high rating/good reviews. It did not disappoint! Had the chicharron burrito and a cup of their horchata. So delicious. The burrito was perfectly spicy and very flavorful. The horchata was delicious and the perfect accompaniment. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The food is ALWAYS soooooooo good and the service is ALWAYS Friendly! So nice to have a little corner cafe serving up traditional Mexican food! Kids Love it, Wife Loves it and I Love it! Verde is sometimes on the hotter side of spicy but I like it hot. If you're sensitive to spicy maybe ask to try a sample of the Verde or Colorado before you go smothered. read more

This hidden gem is an amazing place to stop. It is inexpensive, and the food is amazing! The Chile Colorado was delicious. Nice, divey, little cafe on Washington Blvd. that has some traditional Mexican fare. The sauces are homemade and have rich flavor that adds to the meats of your choice. The chile verde burrito I got smothered and it was a pillowy tortilla with beans and chile verde inside, smothered in more chile verde and melted cheese. Good amount of spice to the verde and tender meat. I will be back to try other menu items, but have heard the chile verde is the house specialty. read more

Favorite Mexican Food in Northern Utah. Any burrito with the red Colorado sauce is a solid choice. I've also really liked the Chile Verde (spicy). You can also go the Quesadilla route and ask for them to add a sauce on top. Go to Rosa's. Now. It's sooo good. read more

Our favorite place to eat in all of Utah! The food is always on point. Spicy, homemade, fresh, yummy food! Everything on the menu is good. OMG the fresh tortillas are to die for! But if you want to have a life changing experience, order their cheese quesadilla. I know, I know, that sounds like a kids menu item.....it's not! It's the cheesiest quesadilla ever! And the family who runs the cafe are all so kind and friendly. Rosa herself is the cutest little momma in Ogden! Her daughter runs the counter and makes everyone feel at home. Breakfast burrito is bomb. One time they were out of potatoes for my breakfast burrito so I had it with beans and it was still great! I like the creamy green hot sauce the most. The red hot sauce is way too hot for me and they have another green hot sauce that is also pretty good. They make all their sauces from scratch and make sure you ask for them... They don't always bring them out to you. I love that this place is a small family run cafe. They have different daily specials that are also pretty good too. read more

Oh. My. HEAVEN!!! This is truly authentic Mexican. The chile (sauce) is actually spicy, and the tortillas are so fresh and to die for. Their bread pudding is a delicious piece (which is huge by the way) of paradise. We tried both the Chile Verde and Chile Colorado smothered burritos. I've only eaten here once, but it was delicious. They actually add some good spice to their food. My wife and I got the chile verde, she had the plate, I the burrito. Actually prefer the plate over the burrito. Best chile verde around. Next time I'll try the colorado. Bread pudding was awesome, it had ice cream and strawberries on top. You'l l like it if you prefer more savory desserts rather than sugar loaded desserts read more

The food was amazing! I ordered the chile verde burrito, it was not only huge, but the flavor was fabulous. My husband ordered the chile colorado burrito, and it was excellent as well. The prices were incredibly reasonable as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back. I really want to try their breakfasts next, they look amazing! read more

We are not your typical Mexican restaurant, we don’t have a big menu so we definitely have time to focus on what we offer and make sure it’s delicious for everyone to enjoy everyday! Our specialty is Chile Verde & Chile Colorado(both w/shredded pork). We specialize in burritos because our flour tortillas are home made! If burritos aren’t your thing, ask an employee what other options we have. We are known for having spicy food, mild salsa isn’t really our style. Heat level depends on the batch of Chiles that day so don’t always expect it to be the same. We do offer a few things to those that don’t want anything “spicy”. Or if you think you can tough it out, just ask for some horchata or sour cream. We have daily specials so make sure to check our Facebook or Instagram page to find out what it is that day. Wednesdays we have Chicken Enchiladas in a creamy green sauce that Rosa refuses to share her secret on :) Fridays we have Chiles Rellenos, and Saturdays & Sundays we have Menudo & sometimes Chilaquiles as our daily specials. But holy smokes, that asada stuffed burrito saved the whole meal. The asada was ridiculously tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Juicy, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth beef wrapped in a solid burrito. That one item alone made me glad I came. Overall, the place has some hits and misses. Now, I'm no scientist, but wouldn't you assume if the restaurant required reservations and their system was showing a fully booked house, including a large party, wouldn't you bring on maybe just one more chef? Between the friendly service and the menudo this place has won a special place on my list of go to restaurants. It can get a little crowded at times but with great success and good food come the crowds The food is home cooked and the tastes are incredibly authentic. Definitely not the typical La Frontera, La Puente or La "Insert other Spanish Word" restaurant. This place is so authentic that my mom who's a great cook and rarely eats out, doesn't miss a trip to Utah without visiting Rosas or getting take out. read more

Poorly managed and no menu but chalk board. Poor drink selection. Food is really nothing special. Taco Time, Taco Maker, etc. is much better. Pricey and servings are small. Everything was nothing to write home about. Servers are polite and helpful but I cannot give anything else more than one star. Delicious, authentic, high-quality Mexican food. I had the huevos rancheros and they were delicious! They served it with warm, homemade tortillas and a salsa spicy enough to clear out your sinuses. They have a small, simple menu, but also ask about their daily specials. You can tell they care about their food and their customers. I will be back to try out dinner. read more
