Rosarios changed owners a while back. I think they are beginning to get the swing of it as the wait isnt as long as it has been and they know what you are asking for now. The pizza is good but my favorite is the margarita pizza. A slice of regular cheese pizza is $3.00. The pieces that add meat and vegetables expect to pay $4.50 a slice. You can still get an Italian Ice!

I think it's probably cheaper to order a whole pizza elsewhere compared to ordering slices here, but if variety is your thing, then this is a good deal. The slices are big, like XL big. They have your standard Brooklyn thin crust style as well as the thicker Sicilian style pizzas. They honestly lose points with me because they use canned spinach and I am of the opinion that any canned greens taste and smell like feet. No, I do not actually know what feet taste like, but thanks for asking. Despite this unfortunate green and leafy decision, they score points with their crust. It's good. The service is the type where you order at the counter, they bring it out, you bus your own table and grab your own container if you have leftovers. Not much to remark on there. The ambiance is a quiet pizza place with a counter and a mural with their foods on it. It's not bad by any means, but I'm also not dying to go back right away, so they get four stars. For the places that absolutely blow my pants off, check out my five star reviews.

I had high hopes getting pizza from Rosario's again thinking it may have improved. Don't get me wrong, this is still the best pizza in the area that I have tried but I was somewhat disappointed. We ordered a Sausage New York Pizza to go. The last time we ordered this a few years ago, it had strips of cured sausage all over the pizza. This time the sausage came shredded up on the pizza. It was a huge disappointment having shredded sausage on a pizza. When I got the pizza back to the house about a mile down the road, it wasn't hot at all. You might be thinking, "well maybe he showed up late to pick it up." Nope. I had to wait about 5 minutes after I paid for the pizza before it was ready. Overall, the pizza tasted ok. I liked the crust but the cool pizza and shredded sausage was a let down.

ZERO star from ME! I ordered my pizza from this place a lucky for me I guess...I was supposed to get a cold, dry and hard cheese pizza. Never again. I was hoodwinke!! (I gave to give a star BUT I PROMISE YOU THEY GET A ZER!) I can't even lie to kick'it! I've had better pizzas from Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, let alone, Papa Murphy's! that PART!

Straight up, old school Italian joint cranking out all the stuff that fills your belly while not breaking the bank. I have only ordered pizza, which they do very well, but next time I visit will sample some baked ziti or lasagna, too. I remember when Roberto got his start over at Due Amici's and have silently cheered him on when he opened Rosario's many years ago. It's always nice to see someone succeed when they put it all on the line. Bravo! Looking for authentic NY Style or Sicilian pizza? Has my oven just a screaming on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Ottimo mangiare qui!

This pizza is the best outside of the New York Metropolitan area! And I've tried many, many in Charlotte.

    Are they still open?

Yes. They just closed for the holiday. The husband and wife work there 7 days a week. I guess they decided it was there time for a break. They should be reopening soon.

I'd had Benny DaCorsa recommended to me by several friends, so today was the day! The place is small inside, but it has ample parking. There are 2 larger tables inside, along with a bar that wraps around the perimeter with seating, but if the weather is nice, take your slice outside to the picnic tables. Also, they don't have fountain drinks (which to me are gross anyway), but their cooler is stocked with tons of flavors you don't see every day. I grabbed the strawberry lemonade, and it was yummy! Our slices were so big, we had to have 2 plates to carry them out on. I got pepperoni and mushrooms, which was delicious. I also got extra marinara sauce for dipping my crust into. This is served cold, but is very flavorful. One slice was more than enough for me, but my daughter's boyfriend ate 2. Honestly, if it is your first time there, start with 1 slice, they are larger than you think! You can also buy whole pies, for which I thought the price was insane when I looked at it online. I saw 2 ladies pick up 3 of them (party?), and I can only imagine what a conversation piece those made! If you are in Concord, stop by. Pizza is great, and the service is fast and friendly. 5 stars, easily!

Our eldest son was visiting from out of town, and it is our yearly tradition to have a nice dinner out all together. We were seated at a table in the back corner, which was very private, but quite dark. There is no lights directly over the table, so it made it difficult to read menus. We had bread and dipping oil brought out and drink orders were taken. We ordered salads and soups, which were all very good and tasty. After our entrees order was taken, we waited a long time for our meals, nearly an hour. While I understand it is a Saturday night, and the dining room was full, orders probably should not take that long. A server brought out more bread, and we munched on more bread for another bit before meals finally arrived. Everything looked great, Katarina's Beef and peppers, Melanzane, chicken franchese, gnocchi travisano, and pepper 1/2 chicken. All delicious. The only complaint was there was not much broccoli rabe on the pepper chicken dish. Mostly the chicken with a few potatoes and a couple pieces of broccoli rabe underneath. The chicken was good, but I probably wouldn't order it again. A few of us at the table only ordered water, and someone only came around once to refill glasses. One of us did order alcohol, but water was not replenished regularly. We had empty glasses most times. Due to the long wait for meals, we skipped dessert. We may decide not to dine here on a Saturday night again. Just my opinion though, some may like the long waits in between courses, but it was a little more than I expected. Gianni's is a hot spot, and they definitely have a great menu and good service. Just a little disappointed with the long wait for entrees.

We decided on the their appetizer sampler just to get a feel for their food, and it wasn't a great feel. The wings were burnt, Maybe that's their "style" but it didn't work. They were so dry. Indeed, if the cold North runs through you veins, you'll find house beer and mead aplenty to wet your whistle in an atmosphere that while housed in a modern shopping center, is still somehow appropos. Unfortunately, I had driving to do, so alcohol wasn't in the cards, but the menu appealed to us. We needed some comfort food, so we ended up with an appetizer sampler that included a baked pretzel, jalapeno poppers (instead of the fried ravioli that I guess they were out of), buffalo wings, and mozz sticks. We also got a pizza from the current specials, the spicy hawaiin. We like pineapple on pizza, and definitely prefer pepperoni to ham, and this also included jalapenos... so it sounded right up our alley. FYI, there are no waiters, you simply order at the bar, and they give you a numbered buzzer to pick up your food when ready. I greatly prefer this way of doing things honestly. For the food, honestly... a mixed bag, hence the one star off. The pretzel was great, probably the best of the bunch. Jalapeno poppers were nice and large, good flavor balance of cream cheese and jalapeno. Mozz sticks were mozz sticks. We didn't care for the wings. For one, they weren't tossed in the buffalo sauce, it was just poured over the top, and they also were a tad dry... maybe fried too long. The pizza was a letdown, especially since other reviews were so complimentary of it. The slices were very floppy, it maybe could have used a couple minutes more. The cheese had a nice flavor, but the sauce was not either of our preference. Could have used more pineapple, less jalapeno to balance the bites. Overall, we didn't finish it, and didn't take the leftovers for later. It could just be our personal tastes, so go and decide for yourself. Outside of food, it was trivia night, and people were having a great time. We would have taken part if we were staying longer. I think if I lived in the area, I would still come here, and just figure out what food items are the ones to get and which ones aren't. Great atmosphere, friendly bartender and people.

The decor is of skulls, flower walls, and blackboards where you can write your name or a note. It's a It has a small parking lot in the back and there's also some street parking. We walked in just before 3pm on Saturday and it was fairly empty. A few other tables did come in after us but it was still pretty slow (or maybe I'm just used to the business of NYC restaurants). We were greeted and seated by Angel, who was also our waiter. He was quiet and reserved but very attentive. He checked on us frequently to make sure we had all we needed. Drinks: they have sooo many good options to choose from it was hard! We decided to go with the margarita flights that come with 4 flavors of your choice and there's a lot to choose from! We tried 6 different flavors (see pics) and all of them were REALLY good! I think the guava might've been my favorite but it was a tough choice. Food: they give u chips and salsa on the house. The chips are a little different; it's 4 big circular chips, they don't exactly taste like regular chips but I liked it. My friend had the Caribbean bowl and asked if she could get it with Al pastor instead of the meat options offered and they accommodated her request. She enjoyed her bowl but did say maybe she shouldn't have gotten the al pastor after all lol she thought the pork would've been shredded instead. I went for the tacos. I was so excited that they had chicken birria tacos cuz everywhere usually just sells it with beef which I don't eat. I also had an Al pastor taco. The Al pastor was good but just a bit dry, it was just missing some sauce but the flavors were good. The chicken birria tacos were amazing! The broth was the perfect cherry on top. The chicken was seasoned well and they had just the perfect amount of cheese. They were sooo good I had to order another one and my friend decided to order one of the beef birria tacos as well. While I don't eat beef it looked soo good! My friend loved it and it had an amazing cheese pull (see video). If I lived out here this would def be one of my favorite places! I will definitely go back whenever I come visit. While $5.25 is a bit much for 1 taco, man those birria tacos were worth every bit of it!
