While friendly, I waited a ridiculous amount of time to place my order - and I was second in line! The one person working the counter was also taking phone orders, obtaining the food for take out, and assisting those just walking in. This dude got to a point that he didn't know who to assist first. I don't blame the person juggling the customers. I blame management for not ensuring there was enough help. I came across Rosario's while in NC thanks to their glowing Yelp reviews and decided they'd be worth the order. I decided to go with a simple half cheese/half chicken pizza, paired with a Greek salad and an order of Carolina gold wings. We ordered via delivery so I can't speak much to the restaurant itself, but our food was super fresh and hot when it arrived. Let me say, the salad was very sad. It seemed like someone just threw the contents of the produce drawer into a container, lol. It was pretty much a head of lettuce cut into huge chunks, half of a tomato and huge chunks of onions. I had to go through and chop the veggies myself. Crazy. The wings were on the smaller side but the sauce was delicious. The pizza itself (well, the cheese portion that I tried) was good. This was my third visit, and unfortunately, the customer experience has continued to decline. My first visit was pretty good. On my second visit, staff began putting chairs on tables while customers were still dining, making it feel like they were rushing everyone out the door. Tonight was even worse. At 8:15 PM, customers were still actively walking in, yet chairs were already on the tables throughout the restaurant. No one wants to eat while staring at the bottoms of chairs. It comes across as rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, around 7:45 PM, the staff stopped making pizzas for the single-slice display case, despite the fact that many customers continued to come in afterward. I was there for over 30 minutes and watched a steady stream of people enter. There was clearly enough demand to justify keeping the display stocked. The overall atmosphere felt neglected. Nearly every table was dirty, while several employees in the back appeared to be standing around rather than cleaning or assisting customers. A great product can only go so far when the customer experience is this poor. Based on the service and overall experience, I will not be returning. read more

As A New Yorker Pizza is the closest to home, the service however will make you cry 35 min wait for two pre made slices to be heated up....... The delayed service is killing jt for me .... Good slices! It's definitely a New York style slice of pizza. We tried the regular, grandma and the Sicilian and they've got the Ny Crust down! The grandma slice needs a little bit less sauce, but overall happy to have found this gem. We will definitely be coming back here. read more

I think it's probably cheaper to order a whole pizza elsewhere compared to ordering slices here, but if variety is your thing, then this is a good deal. The slices are big, like XL big. They have your standard Brooklyn thin crust style as well as the thicker Sicilian style pizzas. They honestly lose points with me because they use canned spinach and I am of the opinion that any canned greens taste and smell like feet. No, I do not actually know what feet taste like, but thanks for asking. Despite this unfortunate green and leafy decision, they score points with their crust. It's good. The service is the type where you order at the counter, they bring it out, you bus your own table and grab your own container if you have leftovers. Not much to remark on there. The ambiance is a quiet pizza place with a counter and a mural with their foods on it. It's not bad by any means, but I'm also not dying to go back right away, so they get four stars. I had high hopes getting pizza from Rosario's again thinking it may have improved. Don't get me wrong, this is still the best pizza in the area that I have tried but I was somewhat disappointed. We ordered a Sausage New York Pizza to go. The last time we ordered this a few years ago, it had strips of cured sausage all over the pizza. This time the sausage came shredded up on the pizza. It was a huge disappointment having shredded sausage on a pizza. When I got the pizza back to the house about a mile down the road, it wasn't hot at all. You might be thinking, "well maybe he showed up late to pick it up." Nope. I had to wait about 5 minutes after I paid for the pizza before it was ready. Overall, the pizza tasted ok. Straight up, old school Italian joint cranking out all the stuff that fills your belly while not breaking the bank. I have only ordered pizza, which they do very well, but next time I visit will sample some baked ziti or lasagna, too. I remember when Roberto got his start over at Due Amici's and have silently cheered him on when he opened Rosario's many years ago. First I picked fries, maybe a bad choice, but they were stuck all in the hero.Plus the meatballs where so thick,like a lump. This place never disappoints! Had a meat lover New York slice with a 'small' Greek salad...simply amazing! The salad was unbelievably fresh! I mean, I hadn't had such a fresh salad in quite a looong time and I loved the crispness of each olive, lettuce and feta cheese portion...couldn't finish it all, definitely enough for two days. Flavor and friendliness is consistently here and we love our Italian meals/pizza from a local neighborhood spot! I'm from NY and love a good thin crust pizza that reminds me of home or just any Italian "home" cooked meal! I appreciate Rosario's for keeping me so close yet so far from home! I look forward to trying their garlic knot chicken parm sandwiches which I hear are only made and served on the weekends! When you walk in, you might experience a feeling of relief because you immediately know you're in a genuine NY pizza shop--even though it's not in NY. Everything about this place is NY. The only real difference is that everyone calls you 'sir.' In NY, they call you 'boss' or 'man.' Never 'sir.' That's more of an insult in NY. Here it's a sign of respect. As far as the pizza goes, I was very hungry and rate it a 3.5, which rounds up to 4. It has a lot of oregano (no problem here), it's saucy (fine with me), and thin crust (cool). Even though no tastebud roadblocks for me, I found the pizza to be good but not amazing. However, overall ratings are high so I recommend judging for yourself. read more

Second review I have left in the last three months, and alas I am bidding farewell to a place I have visiting 100+ times in the last 5 years. Today it wasn't the video menu that had old prices (which it did), but rather showing up at 230p to order my favorite dish (baked penne) and being told, sorry, we don't have anyone in the kitchen to make it. We got a large combo pizza- half pepperoni and half chicken. This is my sister's favorite pizza place she suggested and I tried it out. I must admit it was prepared in a good timely manner! This is our go to pizza place when we are in Concord. We have been going here for 10 years.

Things have improved here. The sanitation grade has risen to a 97.5. There were noticeable improvements since my last visit here. When we entered and approached the order counter we were greeted immediately. There were lots of choices in the display case. It's nice to be able to order pizza-by-the-slice at dinner. They also have other Italian items in the case like Jamaican beef pattties, garlic knots, ham rolls etc. They also have a full menu of pasta and other Italian specialties. A dessert menu is also filled with choices. Our food was delivered to our table. It was hot. It didn't take very long and it was delicious. The parking was plentiful and the dining area is spacious. This pizza spot serve New York style pizza. It's located in concord not too far from the concord mall. It was worth the drive. I definitely enjoyed it. I would order from here again. Second time I've been here. Second time senior citizens crowding me while I look at the pizza. One guy was practically sitting on my shoulder while I was paying my bill at the register. Pizza is meh. Cheese pizza is good. I'd suggest ordering extra sauce with it on the side. Rosario Pizza has a ton of veggies on it but all I tasted was the olives. House salad was awful. The dregs of the lettuce head with sliced black olives, red onions, two tomato wedges and two cuke slices with ranch that is not good. Tried it twice now. Won't be back. Some of the best NY style pizza I've had around here! They do not skimp on their toppings, and their chewy crust is to die for. Nothing will be left over when you order from here! The employees are incredibly nice, even under the pressure of an extremely busy Saturday night rush. Highly recommend the Supreme Pizza and the Chicken Bruschetta Pizza. The latter of the two has to be one of the best combos of flavor I've had in a good while! Can't wait to try more! A little on the pricey side, but worth it! read more

When the Cina's owned Rosario's, you felt like you were welcomed and you were acknowledged when you came in. The food was always fantastic and they genuinely cared that you enjoyed your food. We have gone there since they opened and, when our daughter was little, Rosario's pizza was the only pizza she would eat. Sadly, in September of 2022, new owners took over and the place has gone down hill. At first it was like nothing changed (as far as the food was concerned). Pizza was good and tasted almost as if Rob was still in the back cooking. The last time we ordered there, we ordered our pie to go. It tasted like it had been cooked earlier in the day and was just reheated and wasn't even that warm. The girl that works the counter now has zero personality and pretty much ignores you. Their prices went way up and their food and service went way down. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because of one of their old employees who stayed through the transition. Josh has been there forever and he is frankly the only one who seems to care if the customers are happy. My advice is to stay away. read more
