I've been here twice. The food is pretty good. The fried fish is crispy. The fries are delicious! The fruit is fresh. The French dip was very very good. The waffle was a little overly sweet. We used to go all the time now service is just horrible. Then to find out the person serving us is suppose to be the manager there. I called to give a complaint and she said she is a manager. She has no Customer skills at all. This is the second time she's been rude to me and my husband. Then watched her take out the trash touch food and drinks and not wash her hands that's disgusting. And touch her hair. Horrible. I don't normally complain but they need to fix that for sure. Lindsay needs to be replaced for sure. Makes us not want to go back. And she really needs to make sure she is washing her hands when handling food and drinks. read more

Very disappointed in comparison to my last visit. Ordered the 16oz ribeye and it was a complete disappointment. I have ordered 100's of ribeyes in my life and this was nowhere near the correct size to what I ordered. It was thin and dry and charred on the outside and just overcooked for medium rare. I've been to this establishment 6 different times. They have a policy identity crises. On multiple occasions I was told by servers that they offered pitchers on Wednesdays and sundays or game days but when I've gone on both days they said that they don't offer them and deflected on the opposing day. If it's such a big deal just don't offer them at all. It's so annoying that I spend my twin to travel to the establishment and they don't even honor what I was told by their workers. The manager, who had originally double-parked in a way that blocked other spots before finally correcting himself, approached me and told me the space was "only for customers," without even asking if I was one. The assumption was loud. I was literally on my way inside. Thankfully, the bartender was incredibly kind and attentive; he truly made up for the moment. The music was great, the lemon drop ($11) was solid... but there was still a bitter aftertaste from how I was initially treated. If you want exclusive parking, pay for signage like other businesses do. Don't lead with prejudice. Next time, lead with kindness. We tried Ropers on a recommendation and also after reading Yelp reviews. The atmosphere is nice. It's clean and the decor makes it a comfortable spot. My husband had the 18 oz ribeye and I had the animal style patty melt and sidewinder fries. We started off with the zucchini. Everything was really good. The zucchini was crispy on the outside and not mush on the inside like some places. A nice sized firm piece of zucchini in each one. The side salad was perfect. Husband liked this steak more than from any other place in the high desert. The asparagus was perfect in texture and flavor. My very large sandwich was very good. Not dry. I was really hungry but still had to bring half of it and half of the yummy fries home. Our server Nicola was attentive and very pleasant. She is a real asset to this establishment. Because of her I'd give six stars instead of five for customer service with a great attitude. We found the pricing to be reasonable for the food quality and portions. Give it a try!
