My grandson had a football game at the local football stadium. So we decided to try out the roadhouse. I'm from Palm Springs so we didn't know what to expect. We were a large group of 10. Our server Kelsey greeted us and was very warm and welcoming. The appetizers were amazing, we tried several. We then placed our order and I have to say the steaks were amazing! The blue cheese butter and sautéed mushrooms were absolutely fantastic. We typically eat at local steakhouses in Palm Springs and these steaks can make run with the same quality and tastes as those steakhouses. We also had the ribs, grilled chicken sandwich and they were also amazing! The loaded mashed potatoes were delicious! I ordered a Grey goose and ginger ale and lime and it was delicious. Kelsey was an absolute gem, fantastic customer service she timed our appetizers and meals like a pro. Thank you for a fantastic experience! read more

LOOOOOVE this place. Been coming for years. Rene is literally one of the many reasons we love this restaurant so much. There's nothing worse than going to a restaurant and having bad service... Rusty Bull Roadhouse - Their breakfast burrito is awesome. And they threw in some ripe fruit and sausage gravy! OMG, so gooood! - Steakhouses Near Me - Apple Valley, California

Rusty Bull was really good. The servers were solid, and the venue is nice with an open layout and a Southern Texas charm. The chili was tasty with a great texture--hearty, thick, and cheesy. The steak was a great cut with no fat, cooked really well and full of flavor. The toast was fresh with the perfect crust. I'd give 5 stars, but I usually don't hand those out easily. The only downside for me was the mac and cheese--it wasn't hot, almost cold--but still better than boxed stuff. Overall, great service and a solid experience. I could definitely see myself coming back. read more

Rusty Bull Roadhouse - RUSTY BULL STEAK - Steakhouses Near Me - Apple Valley, California

Old steakhouse but menu has so much more! The fried pickles and zucchini are amazing come w house ranch pretty good stuff. I got the Duke...12 oz steak cooked perfectly. Got it with the dirty corn(peppers and onions w herbs) very tasty and their fries are amazing. Full bar service . Our servers name was Mandee she's been there a long time according to the people we were with who are all regulars. She was the best!!! Didn't skip a beat she was spot on for the entire evening. The restaurant is charming. Cute little spot kind of out in the middle of nowhere but hey if you're ever in Apple Valley looking for a good time for dinner this family establishment is top notch, good food. My only regret was being too full for dessert! But I have been told it's good so next time!! read more

Went for a Sunday birthday lunch, 6 of us, plus 1 to go order. Service was excellent, I'm embarrassed to admit I forgot our waitress name, I apologize. Food was amazing, everything cooked as requested, no mistakes, nothing sent back. Truly what I find to be a rare meal out with a group. Hats off to a crew and establishment that deserves it! read more

Sorry Rusty Bull. You are not in the running for my money. I prefer not to get into specifics but suffice it to say that for my money , there are better options for food and service read more

I love this place. The food is usually good. Service good... It just bugs me that I brought my dad for his 75th birthday and told two people it was his birthday. No desert no song. Ugh They did it to me on my birthday but I was drinking quite a bit. Not an excuse but hey I get it. So moral to the store is if it's your birthday and you want a tiny bit of acknowledgement not gonna get it here. read more

I was at three stars now two. Stopped in today for lunch to give another try. We (party of three) missed the lunch crowd so it wasn't busy. We stood in the entry waiting to be greeted and seated. There was a bartender and a waitress that we could see. Neither far from us. Direct line of sight. The waitress was busy chatting up a male patron who was sitting at the bar. Not serving him food just hanging out talking. The bartender looked to be working straightening up her area. Neither acknowledged us. We were just standing there waiting patiently. We waited about two minutes. I realize this wasn't a long time but they were both right there very close to us and neither acknowledged us in any way. Even a signal to us like be right with you...any acknowledgment would have been acceptable and we'd have waited. Finally we turned to leave. As we were exiting, the bartender told the waitress there were people waiting (something along those lines). She said ah ok as we were just about out the door. The waitress could have cared less. Even a fib like I'm sorry I didn't see you would have worked. Nothing. Service here sucked last time and this time well...we had a great lunch across the street. We will be spending our money elsewhere. read more

This was our 2nd time eating here this month and we're very pleased with the service, food and drinks! Great ambiance as well! Our bartender/server Kelsie was awesome! We will definitely be coming here more often! read more

I came here for the prime rib which is available only on Wednesdays. It was disappointing, unfortunately. I usually order prime rib medium rare. This was a solid rare which had been heated on the grill to achieve the medium rare temperature. I do not enjoy a seared prime rib. It also tasted like an "Everything Bagel" seasoning mix was used for the rib roast. The flavor just didn't work. The portion size, however, was good. The meal came with two sides and a garlic toast. I chose the seasonal vegetables and a dinner salad. The salad was fresh tasting and I enjoyed that. It was the best tasting item of the meal. The sautéed seasonal vegetables were just okay with a mix of broccoli, zucchini, summer squash, and peppers. Garlic toast was serviceable. Staff here is very friendly and efficient. No problems there. The restaurant was decorated nicely with plenty to look at while dining. I would probably return to try other items on the menu but definitely not return for the prime rib. read more

Rusty Bull Roadhouse - Prime rib on Wednesdays. - Steakhouses Near Me - Apple Valley, California

Walked into Rusty Bull Roadhouse when visiting a friend... walked out like Stone Cold after a title match... full, satisfied, and ready to crack open a cold one. Whole place smells like fried gold and smoked beef. The wood walls and bar lights give it that perfect in-between of hometown dive and low-key legend. You don't feel like a customer... you feel like they were waiting for you. Let's talk food. The Cowboy came out looking like it bench presses other sandwiches. That first bite snapped... juicy brisket, BBQ sauce dripping slow, grilled bread holding it all together like it had something to prove. Loaded tater barrels were reckless... crisp outside, cheesy inside, and stacked like nachos with a GED. Then came the pastrami... tender... salty... full of that heavy flavor that makes you close your eyes mid-bite. Every dish felt like a finisher move. But it's the staff that body slams the experience. Quick on the drinks... cool with the jokes... sharp with the service. You can tell they hold it down like regulars behind the bar. Place stayed clean... tables wiped fast... floor spotless... even the bathroom looked like it just got tagged out by housekeeping. Pretty decent. nothing crazy. This ain't just dinner... it's an experience. It's giving Sons of Anarchy ran a Texas roadhouse and hired the cast of Ted Lasso to run front of house. read more

Love this place. My husband gets ribs and Mac n cheese with potatoes and it looks so good. There checked wings are to to good. The potato skins are also very good. The service is always good as well. The ambiance of the place is always nice. The music and people make it nice to be there. read more

The chicken fried steak is my favorite! Generous portions. It gets really busy when they have live music.

Lousy bar went to the bathroom and bikers took my seat. However their incoherent conversations were funny.

Fantastic menu and big stage and dance floor, reasonable prices. Love their Southwest Eggrolls! Every steak, whether flat steak, ribeye flatiron, everything cooked to mouthwatering tenderness read more

This is the fourth year in a row. We visited your establishment when we are in the area for a competition. I decided to order something different so I got the chicken fried steak. We had a table of eight, everyone else's food was out, and they brought mine. When it arrived, it was literally ice cold. Took me a while to get the attention of the waitress, and I told her about it. She offered to get me another plate. It did however, come out piping hot, but everyone at my table was finished with their dinner. The waitress offered no compensation, so I chased down the Manager. The best he could do is offer me half price. I was not really satisfied with that. I'm very disappointed in my visit. read more

Never again! I have gone to the Rusty Bull numerous times over the years but at some point they have turned it into a gentlemen's club. My husband and I went the other night in search of a tasty steak. What we got was some entirely different. Our young waitress arrived at our table in her low cut tank top and skin tight jeans and promptly leaned over at the waist placing both hands on our table and presenting her breasts in our faces and asked what we were drinking. We were both so shocked we really didn't know how to react. She returned with our water and steaks and proceeded to circle my husband and rub her hand along the back of his chair lightly stroking his back like she was about to give him a lap dance. I gave her a few words of advice and we boxed our dinner to go. She seemed shocked that a married couple in their 60s did not appreciate her disgusting little performance. Apparently this is the only way she knows how to relate to her customers. Very sad. What happened to a kind voice and a gentle smile and prompt courteous service. I did speak to the male manager before leaving and he said that he would speak to her. When I stated that I truly thought that it was part of their marketing agenda he related that they would never encourage inappropriate behavior. The whole experience was horrible! It felt like sexual harassment. Several friends that I've spoke to have related similar experiences. Said that the girls are very very flirty in search of Tips. I think it's time the Rusty Bull needs to change their signage to forearm the public the kind of place it is. If the management at Rusty Bull is encouraging that these women young women to flaunt themselves like strippers then they should be Ashamed of them selves. read more

Today for Easter, my husband & I decided to try the Rusty Bull Roadhouse. We were pleasantly surprised how good the atmosphere was here. It was calm, and mellow. The restaurant was playing nice music, and there was not a rowdy bar crowd. We also had great service from Bree, our waitress. She was very sweet & helpful with guiding us through the menu & recommendations for our first time. We ended up ordering burgers with coleslaw & they were great! We will definitely be back again soon. read more

We like to go in here a lot, however the last few times we've been in there the bartenders seem to not care. They finish their text conversation on their phone before they serve you. I get more eye contact from a stripper. Really disappointing because I like this place. Good food, good people overall, but the last few times have been overall bad. Honestly this place is really good. The 2 stars is for the recent service not the whole as a restaurant. Edit: this looked like a new bartender, not the one with glasses, not the red head, not the one who had a baby a year or so ago, idk her name im sorry. read more

Great food! Some of the host were really nice. Especially a lady with a short haircut. Very friendly! I didn't like this red head in there very racist. Me and my husband was waiting to be seated and she totally bypass us as we stood up waiting and took two white couples before us and she is not friendly at all she needs to be trained on customer service and not seeing color. I almost didn't eat there cause it's just sad that people still see color and not knowing we paying for her job!! but I do encourage that you try the food the best taste order out! just that red head left a sour taste in my mouth about the experience eating in there. read more
